  1. Because voting for Trump doesn’t make one a Trumper. Believing that he turned water into wine and actually won the election in 2020 like you do makes one a Trumper.
  2. Right... a boycott is a form of a protest. It's done to draw attention, and to force a change. Have you noticed that nobody is like "Hey! Let's all quit watching football and write the team owners and let them know that we won't come back until they force everybody to stand for the anthem!" Because that would be a boycott. Instead you just have a bunch of people saying... "you know, I watch sports to get away from it all... I guess I'm done watching those clowns." That's not a boycott.
  3. Seriously... All it actually says is that the Secretary of State said that unless there are substantial discrepancies, signature verification should be presumed to be correct. In short, inspectors shouldn't say "oh, wait... this Biden vote doesn't have an i dotted like the application...otherwise they're indentical.... throw it out!!!!" It's also important to note that while Michigan law requires signature verification, it doesn't codify the verification process. There is no playbook, they were just winging it from polling place to polling place... until the SOS advised them the best way to proceed, which honestly sounds pretty straightforward to me. In Michigan, election ocials are required to compare the signature on the voter’s mail-in ballot envelope with the “Qualied Voter File” to “determine the genuineness of [the] signature.” Per Michigan’s recent guidance on signature matching, a signature is deemed insucient only if it has “multiple, signicant, and obvious dierences” from the signature on le. On October 7, 2020, Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed a new bill (Senate Bill 0757) that requires election ocials to notify voters within 48 hours of determining that a signature does not match. If the signature is contested less than 48 hours before election day, ocials must notify voters by 8 p.m. the day before the election. Another recent bill (House Bill No. 5991) would require election clerks to notify voters of signature mismatches and provide cure opportunities until 10 days before the election is certied. That bill was referred to the Michigan House Committee on Elections and Ethics on July 23, 2020, but appears unlikely to pass before Election Day. And as always, the article provided absolutely zero evidence of the much bally-hooed "election fraud," just instructions that the Trumpers didn't like because it kept them from throwing out Biden votes.
  4. It is refreshing to see that most of us are in the same vein here.... We agree with the Bank's right to refuse service to those who don't want to wear a mask, and we support a baker's right to refuse service to a gay couple wanting a wedding cake, or disagree with a Halal Butcher being forced to cut up a pig for me.
  5. No, it's not... when the Rainbow Push Coalition calls on everybody to boycott Texaco until they get more people of color into upper management, you have a boycott. When an unorganized group of people say, "screw those guys, I'm just going to go work in the yard instead" and ask for nothing in return, it's just a massive migration away from that type of entertainment.
  6. She should have went to the drive through, had them send her a check, or put on a stupid mask. Sometimes you lose the battle AND the war.
  7. All jokes aside, it's not a boycott. A boycott is a publicized effort to withhold business to make the company change its behaviors. Nobody is asking the NFL (or any other league) to do anything. They've just decided to stop watching/attending... I don't think a subtle move to stop broadcasting the anthem is going to fix anything. Nobody cares if the NBA makes changes....nobody is asking them to. People are just finished with them. Sports were a way to escape the negativity that exists in our world... up until the decision was made to politicize sports. With that and the changes in our viewing habits/attention spans, I think those numbers won't be coming back. You see the same thing with awards shows like the Oscars. When it became less about the performances and more about actors preaching their views during acceptance speeches and awards given based on skin color, people just tuned out. Good luck getting them back.
  8. Actually, I think Trump chose nasty talk over policies that would have benefitted the country.
  9. Trump got beat. Biden flies in Air Force One. You DO realize that your hero Trump will be in and out of court because of his actions until the day he dies, right?
  10. Yeah... and acting like a Jackss is what kept him from getting re-elected. He got taken to Pound Town by a senile old man and a communist hooker, lol.
  11. Don't worry, Snowflake... just pretend like the WAPO is a Trump mean tweet and it won't bother you anymore.
  12. How dare they misquote the phone call in which Trump pressured the GA SOS to "find him 11780 votes" and threatened that they could be found criminally responsible if they failed to do so.
  13. Don't ever forget who helped put him in that chair. It's a shame that Trump couldn't act right with so much on the line.
  14. Governmental mask mandates are wrong. Private businesses requiring a mask on their premises is fine. I don't have any sympathy for this broad.
  15. Boy, it sure looks like the Biden Administration has gotten caught with their pants down on immigration. Who would have expected a surge of young illegal immigrants just because they were promised amnesty, a free college education, healthcare, housing, a smart phone, food, and the right to vote? What are we gonna do with all of these kids? Dang sure can't put them in cages.
  16. When we celebrate acts like "WAP" as uplifting for black women while denouncing Dr. Seuss and Dumbo the elephant as racist.... it tells you how ignorant people are today.
  17. On a positive note, I would have gotten a stimulus payment today if I didn’t make so much money.
  18. I know a woman that's in the state pen here in Texas that got the first one.... She didn't apply or anything. It just arrived. She's been inside for 6+ years already. That doesn't make any sense.
  19. He didn't look too hot last night. Just a little less composed and pasty/frail. Some of his claims were exaggerated or misleading, but it wasn't confrontational at all. I kinda liked that.
  20. "You can sell six cars, but that doesn't make you a car salesman. On the other hand, if you put ONE of those in your mouth, you're a " Not my opinion, but what the old timers used to say.
  21. But wait... last month you were praising Trump for Operation Warp Speed and how fast he got us the vaccine, weren't we?
  22. I disagree... I think that as more of us have been vaccinated and more of us have changed our behaviors for the time being, you won't see a big run-up in cases. Most of our immune systems seem to be stronger during the spring/summer as well. I'm still not going clubbing for obvious reasons, and I'll be cautious where I can. You SHOULD be wearing a mask at buffet, for crying out loud. Probably should have been all along. If I were an employer, I'd still want my employees to wear masks at work. Nobody wants to have their whole crew quarantined if it can be avoided. Not much you can say about customers not wearing them.... if you pitch a big enough fit on behalf of the business, you'll be out of business because so many of your customers won't come back. I hope you're wrong in regards to higher numbers going forward.
  23. Actually, we gave them a tax refund (money given to them that wasn't even paid in by them) in 2017 and 2018. [Hidden Content] 2018%2C Amazon posted income, the federal government for 2017. It's not about whether they're paying in "some" money in state or local taxes.... it's the fact that they make millions in profits and pay nothing in corporate income taxes... in fact, we're actually paying them via tax credits AND subsidizing their business by delivering their packages via USPS at a loss to the American Taxpayer. Spin it all you want, but that's not right. And we all know that those Amazon distribution centers don't pay local taxes due to abatement agreements. Trust me... the old Italian neighborhoods liked having the mafia around... but it wasn't good for the rest of us. What's the point of having a 21% corporate tax rate if my plumber that incorporated has to pay it but Amazon doesn't?
