I opened the video but didn’t get too far into it. Mike Lindell was at the White House the weekend of 1/2/21 trying to convince Trump to declare martial law. No offense, but the guy’s first priority was seeing Trump remain in power regardless of facts or evidence. I don’t listen to people on either side who have an obvious bent in their respective direction. That guy was probably more emphatic about Trump winning than Trump himself. -
Just curious... which stand do you disagree with?

I don't recall anybody losing their job over using that "b" word. Have you ever seen kid hit their brother over and over and finally get hit back, then come crying and wailing "he HIT me!!!" That's black people and the "n" word. I think the thing that annoys me the most about this particular situation is that we've heard for years that we (whitey) don't understand that it's a term of endearment among blacks, but the worst epithet possible when used against black people. Even if you're racist enough to believe that, that's not the case here. This guy was literally using it as a term of endearment to a non-black, but it's still racist according to the thought police. Nobody should be using it, period.

I just know that we all have an “expiration” date... that point at which our abilities start to suffer. For most of us it’s in our mid/late sixties. I have had several coworkers retire and they honestly just slow down and become less effective as they age. It unfortunate, but real. In Texas you can’t run for a judgeship after 72... I think that’s more than fair.

That's the problem... there are two different ways to interpret what happened. You opinion is worth as much as mine. Trump had a rally and told all of the attendees to go down there and "fight like you've never fought before," then they went down, attacked our capitol and halted a legal election that Trump had just lost. That much is an undisputable fact. The only question is whether or not Trump telling them to go down there and do x, y, and z actually led to them going down there and doing x, y, and z. I know you can't recognize the peril in what happened or the lives lost. But it's kinda like Hitler arguing that he was blameless for the holocaust because he didn't actually close the gas chamber doors himself. If people don't do what Trump asks them to, then why did he spend the last year and half asking all of his people to go vote, since according to you they don't listen to what he says?

My problem isn't even so much if he gets in trouble. My problem is when people try to say it's okay if this guy uses it as a term or endearment, but THAT guy needs to be punished for using it as a term of endearment. At that point it has nothing to do with anything other than wanting to punish someone because of the color of their skin.... which is racism at its finest, IMO>

The word is bad or it's not. But you can't proclaim the word to be a term of endearment, then punish somebody else who's clearly using it the same way. But if you ask, THEY'RE the ones being oppressed, lol.

[Hidden Content] I think that every artist that has ever uttered this word needs to be canceled, without exception. No matter what shade they are. "B-b-b-but... it's a term of endearment between black people when they say it. You don't understand. We took ownership of that word." So some white guy uses it as a term of endearment, not a slur, to one of his white friends and he's canceled. I don't care if they hammer this guy for using it, but be fair....

Why do you keep asking the same question and then ignoring the obvious correct answer? I've told you no less than five times. There were way more mail-in ballots than were ever received before. Some states didn't allow them to be counted until the polls closed. There were no provisions for 24 vote counting until the massive number of ballots were counted, so they had to stop at some point to rest. Also, in some states they were allowed to count votes that were received several days later, assuming that they were postmarked no later than election day. How do you suggest they "don't stop counting" votes that hadn't even arrived yet? Your guy lost, fair and square. Move on. It's just pathetic listening to the whining at this point.

I've said all along that the main reason the Rs believe there was cheating is because they were cheating themselves and can't believe that got out-done.

It looks like Georgia has finally identified someone that’s being investigated for election fraud in November. [Hidden Content] It appears that Trump’s attorney Lin Wood voted illegally in Georgia... too funny.

I felt like there weren’t grounds for the first one. I feel like there are grounds for this one, and I think he would be the first president convicted and removed if he were still in office. Sending a mob to the capitol and telling them to “fight like you’ve never fought before” right before they overrun the Capitol and halt our election process is the work of a would-be despot. We don’t need that ever again, and the fact that he’s remorseless is a problem to everyone except Trump’s blindly loyal followers.

Is this the one where the corporation will be put to rest and the republic reinstalled? People are crazy.

There are plenty of constitutional scholars saying the exact opposite... just like any issue. I think it's kinda funny because the same people who were yelling that Pence had the right to thrown out any electoral votes he didn't like and saying "where does it say that he can't" are now arguing that the impeachment trial can't be held when there's no clear admonition that it can't. For the record, I think that it shouldn't but my opinion doesn't matter.

Easy, now.... don't go making too much sense. Trump has been deranged since the vote totals came in. Nothing has changed. It's why he needs to be convicted in the Senate and then disqualified from ever running for office again.

A few years ago I went to a banquet with one of my highschoolers and there were at least two kids who were displaying a lot of the signs/behaviors that are considered "gay." I asked him later if he thought that one kid might be gay, and he was like "he is." I asked, "you mean, he says he is, or other people call him that?" He was like, "no, Dad.... he's gay. He's been saying it for years." Now, I can tell that I obviously attended school with kids who now identify as gay/lesbian, but it wasn't something that was discussed, I guess. And someplace between being taboo for those kids in the 80s/90s and where we are today is where the line needed to be drawn. High school boys have no business in the girls' locker room, or competing against girls in athletic competitions. It's just gone too far and now the wheels are falling off.

I think the trial will end in another acquittal. The next question is whether the Dems go after him in an additional action under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, and what that will look like. They ALLEGEDLY only need a simple majority to disqualify him from ever running again, and I think that they can establish that. I don't want to live in a country where the two houses of Congress can ban a person from ever holding office with only a simple majority in both chambers. The whole world has gone nuts. The Dems have a mandate to do every single thing that their extreme left wing wants because they now hold a tie-breaker in the Senate. Some mandate, lol.

I remember my parents being against us watching “Three’s Company” because Jack Tripper pretended to be gay. They felt like laughing about it would be the first step towards accepting it. Being from a younger generation, I’m more accepting of it ... right up until the point at which stating “well, it is a sin, you know” gets you labeled a homophobe and might cost your job. Im sorry.... if you want to pretend you’re a unicorn, have at it.... but don’t expect me to address you as a unicorn.

I’ve got tons of good advice. “Always lift with your back. With a twisting motion when possible.”

You’re only partially right.... “Buy high, sell low, and make it up in volume.” That’s the key.... volume.

I’m sure there will be different opinions as to the constitutionality... I’m confused as to why the Chief Justice isn’t presiding over the trial. I suspect that issue (constitutionality) will end up being heard by the Supreme Court at some point.

I read from two different sources where most of Trump’s legal team that’s supposed to represent him at his upcoming trial in the senate are no longer on board. Five attorneys (including the lead) are gone. Sources say the split was mutual, but came from a difference of opinion on how to best proceed. Trump was allegedly upset that the attorneys wouldn’t go public denying that any wrong was done and they also refused to incorporate claims of the “stolen election” into Trump’s defense. That’s not good, with an answer due on Tuesday and a trial starting next week. The sources also said that Trump believes that he can defend the charges himself, which doesn’t lend to him listening to his own counsel. On another note, the talking heads are now claiming that if the impeachment doesn’t yield a conviction, congress can still disqualify Trump from ever holding office again by way of Section 3 of the 14th Amendment... only requiring a simple majority in both chambers of congress instead of the 2/3rd majority needed for conviction on impeachment. That’s gonna be interesting to watch. It’s gonna be an exhausting few weeks coming up.

Did you itemize prior to 2017? Long story short, my rate got slightly cut, but they also did away with some of my deductions.... Net difference is my total tax liability was practically unchanged from before to after the "tax cuts." It's important to note that they changed the withholding tables, so I ended up bringing home a little more on a weekly basis, but my refund was reduced. But if you look at my tax liability before and after, it's a wash. I'm not mad, it just didn't benefit me... and that's no problem.

I have a buddy that has a job-job and makes a lot of money. He also does side work a couple of times a month for cash, typically. Last year he had his taxes ready to file and was going to have to send the IRS something like 2 grand. He wasn’t happy. THEN he got a 1099 from a customer that was for a small $2k job... he plugged that new income into the software and his tax bill for the year bounced to 3 grand. He thought there was a mistake. No... it’s those top tax rates on high earners. By the time you get to the end of the year, basically half of every dollar you earn is considered “your fair share.” Long story short, that $2k side job isn’t worth doing for $1k after taxes... so he quits fooling with them. His customers have to find a professional to come out and do the work, and that $2k side job becomes a $4k job.... but the good news is that tax increases don’t affect the little guys, lol
