  1. I don't read a lot of fiction.
  2. The dude is just shady... he was at the very forefront of the "stolen election" lie. Constantly promising to bring forth information that would prove that fraud occurred, but he never did. He's also the guy who called for "trial by combat" in his speech right before the disgraceful combat that occurred in and around the Capitol in January. Rudy is a piece of crap.

  4. Rudy is dirty, IMO.... It's one thing to be "new york" shady when you're in power in New York. When you bring that same "the rules don't apply to me" mentality when going up against the Justice Department, the media, and the entire democrat party... you can be sure that your sins will find you out.
  5. I wasn't convinced on causation, either, but I can understand if jurors were convinced. I didn't think that the alleged crime fit the bill for all charges, though. I have a feeling that they would have convicted him for 1st degree murder and bestiality, too, if those charges had been on the table.
  6. I'm sure that they meant it as a term of endearment.
  7. What's your thought on the verdict in the Chauvin case?
  8. Honestly, if he turns the program around both he AND the super will be gone. Baseball ain’t gonna have that. Have y’all seen the turf on our baseball and softball fields yet?
  9. I agree on the one in Columbus where the victim was trying to stab the other girl... This one here is still up in the air. I'll be interested to see what the actual evidence ends up pointing out. Long story short a group of cops were serving an arrest/search warrant on this guy at his house and he attempted to flee... got hit 5 times (4 in the arm and one in the head). The attorney that intends to sue the city is claiming that it was an execution. The DA says that the "victim" actually struck at least one cop with his car before they lit him up. I tend to lose a lot of sympathy when the "victim" is trying to evade detention or resist arrest... especially when policemen or citizens are being endangered because the suspect simply doesn't want to be held responsible for his own criminal actions... and we know that this guy was at a minimum trying to evade/resist arrest. That's not a reason to shoot the guy, but if he was really endangering others, I just don't feel that bad for the guy. But I/we really need to wait for the evidence to all come out.
  10. And for the record, if you protest by saying "hands up, don't shoot," you are a moron. It's been proven over and over that it never occurred in the Michael Brown justified shooting. Yet every time you see the clowns walking around chanting... "Hands up, don't shoot!" Your battle cry is actually a complete lie... that should tell you something.
  11. "He wasn't trying to hit them, he was just trying to get away... and even if he DID hit them, that doesn't give him the right to kill him!!!!" Said all of idiots in unison.
  12. It's a cultural thing. When "our" girl (white, unarmed, conservative) got shot by the Captiol police in January during the riot, practically EVERYBODY that fits her description shrugged and said "ummmmm.... she kinda had that coming." When a violent black drug dealer attempts to run over police officers while evading arrest (a felony in and of itself) when they are attempting to arrest him, Ben Crump and the rest of the sweaty-faced suits show up to cry about "it was an execution! He was just trying to get away!!!" Until the black community decides to address it's own responses to law enforcement, the whole thing is just going to keep happening. If you resist/flee from an arresting officer, you are accepting all possible outcomes, which include getting shot. Period. It's that simple.
  13. I think so... Our region is down to 7% hospitalization rate right now, AFTER we lifted the mask mandate. I believe that the vaccine is part of the reason for that decline. People are still getting infected, but they're not getting sick enough to require hospitalization. I don't think that the vaccine can get all of the credit for the declines in severity, but I think the vaccine is due some of the credit.
  14. They need to find another white boy to play qb if they ever want to win another ring. Just kidding.... Obviously untrue. Sometimes I can't help myself.
  15. That's my understanding as well.
  16. I did, but then my answer changed.
  17. I had a very possible exposure a couple of weeks ago but it turned out alright... I just started thinking that it would be ridiculous if I skipped the vaccine and then ended up hospitalized for a few days and set myself back about $20k because I didn't trust a free vaccine. I'd be really upset at myself.
  18. I understand that the first one is kind of a warm up to get your body prepared for the second one which is a lot stronger. I dunno.
  19. It’s just more proof that Black Lives really don’t matter. You have a race that aborts more unborn children per capita than any other in America. You also have a race that kills more of their own than all other races combined... despite only making up 13% of the population. Then they turn around and say “it wouldn’t matter if that one black kid killed the other black kid. Police were wrong to step in. Blacks killing blacks is literally like using the n-word. I guess they consider it an act of endearment.
  20. I’m still not convinced that we don’t have somebody coaching at the middle school who would do just fine.
  21. It’s like anything else... some are better than others and some are outright bad. One of the big problems is that the police (and justice system as a whole) tended to overlook the bad actions of bad cops. I think that a lot of what we’re seeing today is an over-reaction to the way that things USED TO be. The problem is that the corrections that we’re clamoring for today are only going to make things worse. In the last 4 years we’ve seen “choke holds” and “kneeling” taken out of the police “toolbox” because of SJWs falsely blaming them for deaths that occurred when criminals were violently resisting arrest. A perfect example was the shooting at the Wendy’s drive-thru in Georgia last year. The policeman had the guy mostly subdued with a rear naked choke but he let him go per “policy.” The guy got loose and officers ended up shooting/killing him instead. Add to that the fact that criminals know that police literally have their hands tied and more if the bad guys are willing to try their luck. At some point people are going to realize that we ALL were a lot safer when bad guys knew they might end up needing a few stitches if they got out of line. Every time that I see a “protester” cursing at a cop it just proves the opposite... if the police are so inherently evil and deadly, you wouldn’t be dare to publicly spit at, curse, or otherwise assault them.... think about it.
  22. The mindset of our youth is just baffling. I was skimming the comments on a story about the basketball player from Kentucky that died in a car wreck in Los Angeles after declaring for the NBA draft. The kid sped through a red light and got hit by a car that had the right of way. The general consensus among the commenters was “sure, his light was red, but who just turns out in front of a speeding car? I hope that man’s got good insurance!” That’s literally how stupid some of us are today.
  23. It’s just too far gone at this point. I turn on CBS news a lot of mornings and I’d say that at least 2 thirds of their clips are race related. If it’s not the latest police shooting, it’s Meghan Markle vs the royals. If they’re talking about Covid, they’re talking about how it’s affecting people of color disproportionately. If they talk about the eviction moratorium, they have to mention that ending it will hurt more people of color. Stories about education always have to include a bit on inequity. I’m really getting to the point where I feel myself getting less sympathetic by the minute. I wonder if I’m the only person that feels that way?
  24. When the guy that was just kicking the lady in the head starts raising hell was my favorite part.... your judgment is very questionable, Pelè.
