No, he was bad candidate from the start. The very first time we saw him on the debate stage he went after Rosie O'Donnell and Megyn Kelly in what was just a small glimpse into how he treated everybody... up to and including Mike Pence last Wednesday. Trump is a rotten person. And maybe that's the kind of person you look up to and aspire to be... who knows? I think "flakey" would better describe people who claim to Christian yet vote for someone who exhibits none of Christ's attributes, even going as far as claiming that he's God's chosen one to lead us. THAT is ironic. I didn't like him before, I didn't like him as president, and I don't like him today. I voted against him in the 2016 primary and would have voted against him if anybody was willing to break tradition and run against him in this cycle. I think that YOU are the one with flexible morals. "I would never behave like that myself, but I'm not going to hold Trump accountable because he's so great on the economy." Well, guess what? Now we're all screwed because most people weren't so willing to entertain his childishness. If Republicans don't recognize that repugnant behavior leads directly to lost elections, they'll just find some other jerk who has no business in politics to be our next candidate. And we'll get smoked down again. I don't have a problem with people voting for Trump. I did twice. My problem is with people who refuse to accept that the behavior that YOU overlook is what led to his eventual defeat, and his behavior since the election is just proof positive that the man lacks character and is a bigger threat to our democracy than anyone else in history because he can't recognize the fact that he was beaten. Probably because he, like you, believe that his fecal matter has no odor.

Literally... an election is like a beauty contest. And you guys are upset that the contestant who gained 40 pounds, shaved her head, refused to wear makeup and whose talent was playing a song by armpit-farting somehow didn't win. She must have been cheated.

My frustration is not with Trump's accomplishments... It's based on the fact that he let his behavior overshadow his accomplishments with the masses. When somebody as conservative as myself has to grit their teeth while voting for the Republican nominee, you know that the candidate is flawed. A candidate has two jobs.... make it hard to vote for the other guy, and easy to vote for you. Trump did "ok" in the first part, but was a miserable failure in the second. Do you think anybody who voted against Trump has second-guessed their vote since election day? Nope. Do you think anybody who voted FOR Trump has second-guessed their vote since election day? You'd better believe it. And it's just typical of the way things went for him since day one. He would do crappy things and his adoring fans would just lap it up... while anybody NOT enamored by the reality tv star just plotted an waited for November of 2020. And now here we are.

Yep.... only problem is that less than half of Americans like it. If you could ever get it into your pea brain that being unlikable does not lead to success in a industry where people vote on your likability, you might get somewhere. And that's why he's gonna be out on his you-know-what a week from tomorrow. There's nothing about Biden's policies that I like. That's why I didn't vote for him. Very few people voted for Biden. They voted against Trump, and with good reason.

If Trump knew how to act, we wouldn't be facing these problems. That's a fact. I've said it over and over again. Trump is a failure because of his actions, and the people that excuse his actions with "awwww, you don't like the big meanie" are also a huge part of the reason that we're all in this giant poop-storm together now. If you are like Trump and think that the whole world crashed down around his ears because of everybody else, there's no hope for you. He did it to himself. It's kinda funny how everybody else voted against Trump because of their emotions, but you have undying loyalty for the guy that singlehandedly brought our nation to its knees.... That's pretty emotional, in my opinion, Lol. Heck, most of y'all still believe that he actually won.....that's some straight up flat earth belief system right there... Even Bill Clinton didn't get impeached twice... and he had eight years, lol.

No, I said that I didn't want to, but I did. Part of "putting our heads together" involves admitting that Trump's behavior cost himself the election, as well as the senate because of the races in Georgia. It's not okay to lead with "I know he's rude and crude, but the economy...." Rude and Crude is what got us where we are IN SPITE OF the economy.

Isn't it funny how the Democrats object to the certification of Electoral votes each time a Republican is elected, but it's only seditious and worthy of expulsion from Congress if a Republican does it?

Conviction in the Senate would make sure that Trump can't run again in '24. That is pretty appealing for the Dems, but also for any R that might be considering a run for President. Also, if you're a sensible Republican that isn't okay with Trump's behavior, it makes sure that he can't win the nomination based on votes of imbeciles who say "he may be rude and crude, but....." because they are the ones that brought us to where we are today. I really expect the impeachment to gain steam. It's a win-win for everybody. The only thing that stops it is if Trump resigns before he's impeached by the House again. People excusing boorish behavior from Trump are as much to blame for the current state of affairs as the Democrats. If that statement makes you mad, you're part of that group.

Nobody even uses the word equality anymore... now they say "justice." Basically means that people need to be punished, to be taught a lesson. I don't think anybody can deny that we're already in that process now.

If you haven’t realized it yet, there are several ways to fix “inequalities” that exist because some people have more money than others. You can implement aggressive tax policies that will result in the redistribution of wealth, or you can just implement fiscal policies that make the first group’s money worthless. For example, $100,000 in the bank will buy 50k $2 hamburgers. $100,000 in the bank will only buy 20k $5 burgers... hence the real push for $15/hour.... it’s not just about a bump in wages for the working poor, it’s about eating the rich. Besides that, nobody talks about what’s going to happen to Grandma’s social security.... we can’t afford to double that. She’s gonna get stuck paying twice as much for her consumables without any substantial bump in her income. But by all means.... raise that minimum wage... it’ll fix everything.

They gave up on the 25th when Pence said that he wouldn’t participate.... congress has no say in the matter.

Actually, I learned something new today. The impeachment has to happen while Trump still President. The trial in the senate must occur, but can happen after the president is no longer in office. The punishments are removal from office AND the convicted president will no longer be eligible to serve as president. The Ds can guarantee that he won’t run again in ‘24. The only question is whether enough Rs (they need ten) would be willing to vote to convict. I think they get close, based on guys who don’t want to run against trump in 24 and those who don’t want trump to possibly win again. I’m a little bit more convinced that the impeachment/conviction end up happening.

A more accurate analogy would be YOU arguing in 1920 that we needed to return to slavery, because Jesus tells us in the Bible how to treat our slaves.

America spoke back in November and again on Tuesday... you and your friends still aren't listening. None of the good that was accomplished in the last four years matters if the president was such a turd that four years later the Republicans have lost every bit of power in Washington and now all of that good will be erased with a few pen strokes. That's what happens when good people say "well, I know he's rude and crude, but... " and you empowered him to behave in ways that led to the entire country being set back. I know that it didn't bother you, but it bothered a lot of good people and now we're all screwed. You should have voted for a candidate with some decency. BTW... Roe v. Wade was almost 48 years ago. Nothing is going to be revisited, and until the minority of y'all that falsely claim to care about the unborn shut up about it, Rs will always have trouble in general elections. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that you haven't actually adopted any of those unwanted kids that were actually born. Heck, I'd doubt that you've dug into your wallet and donated the funds to cover the first adoption, either. What about just donating clothes to an orphanage? Probably not that either. Worry about your own decisions and leave others to make their own. More and more of the voters in America were born AFTER abortion was legalized. It literally sounds to them like calling for a return to Prohibition when they hear people raising hell about it. It's legal. It's been legal. It's always going to be legal. Get over it.

In all fairness, Republicans (Joe Wilson from South Carolina) set the bar pretty low by yelling "YOU LIE" at Obama during a speech to Congress in 2009.

I think it's safe to say at this point that all of the good that he did is by far outweighed by the damage done by him across the board. Four years ago the Rs held all three branches of government. Today they hold none. Any gains that he made will be wiped out as soon as they can by a partisan Congress. Being rude and crude isn't something that should be ignored... and those behaviors were all to willingly accepted by Trump's supporters.

My thoughts are these... I was a little put off in 2009 when the crowds at the inauguration chanted "nah nah nah... goodbye!" at GWB. It wasn't just classless, but also unnecessary as GWB didn't even run in 2008. Nothing remarkable happened in 2012 when Obama won re-election, but there WERE substantial protests in 2016 (Jan of 2017) by lefties when Trump was sworn in. That rotten behavior been escalating every time that a Republican is elected. I would expect the Biden Inauguration to turn nastier than anything we've seen before in our history in light of recent events if Trump were to attend. I also don't believe that's the reason why Trump isn't going. He's just a sore loser. I was encouraged by VP Pence's resolve to attend the Inauguration next week, and hopefully the occasion will be civil... That's what I honestly expect with the covid-reduced crowd sizes.

It warps a person’s view of reality. “A source close to the polling firm (not the firm itself) says that Trump’s approval rating popped to 51% the day after the riot? That is ludicrous. Impossible. Didn’t happen. Over half of America hates Trump. There’s no disputing that fact. A lot of people that make up the other (almost) half that did actually like him were completely turned off by the actions on Wednesday and the fact that Trump’s actions in the last nine weeks were directly responsible for that attack. Yet somehow his popularity is soaring? There’s no way you can be serious. Stop for a second. If you actually believed this article upon reading it, then you really need to do some self-reflection. You’ve let the lies and conspiracy theories overwhelm what most of us call “common sense.” You might possibly need medical intervention. It’s bad, bro.

If I trusted the Rs I’d donate my stimulus to the RNC.
