  1. You’re delusional. The Tea Party refused to entertain any legislation that included any additional taxes. Then they refused to budge even when the government was forced to shut down. Does that sound like negotiation or compromise? That same attitude is why Rand Paul (tea party holdover) sunk the repeal of Obamacare in 2012. “We were sent here to do one thing! There will be no compromise!” As a result, they accomplished absolutely nothing in regards to spending or our debt. That’s being right wing to the point of stupidity. There’s a huge difference between being a “snowflake” and realizing that actions have consequences.... if you make an enemy out of everybody except your blind followers, you won’t be in power long. See how it worked out for your boy Trump, lol. I appreciate those three conservative SCJs, and I’m proud that they showed wisdom and restraint that has not been shown by most of Trump’s supporters. In fact Trump was lashing out at them... just like he lashed out at all of his other supporters that refused to buy into his lies as you have. The bottom line is this... all of those things that you worry about happening would not be in jeopardy if your Lord and Savior Donald J Trump hadn’t been such a jerk. He’d be getting ready to be sworn in a second time. But just like Wednesday, he’s never known when to shut up, and that’s not a good thing, despite what you and the rest of his minions believe. When Guiliani, Trump jr, and then Trump himself all got up and encouraged the masses to go up the street and attack the Capitol, it was unique. It’s unlike anything else we’ve seen before. The fact that you don’t recognize that fact is insane. It was so bad that everybody forgot about the phone call on Saturday they could have probably gotten him impeached and convicted by itself of there was enough time left. This has without a doubt been the worst election cycle by a soundly beaten president and his blindly loyal fanbase, ever. No question. Y’all all thought Hillary was a sore loser for not conceding the night of the election, and here you are ransacking the Capitol in what has to be views as a nine-week temper tantrum.
  2. Soccer? Really? That’s what you're gonna come back with? I’ll bet YOU didn’t know that our cross country team won state one time, did you? So there! Stop playing around.... or our one-act-play team will act y’all right off of the stage.
  3. Say what you want, but I don’t believe in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, or that anybody stole this election. I’m sorry that some people can’t face reality.
  4. If you can point me to a single instance where Bernie ever even vaguely encouraged violence (not just at that softball practice) I’ll be shocked. You can’t find one, I promise. I absolutely oppose Bernie’s views, but to insinuate that he has done ANYTHING along the lines of what Trump has done is just an outright lie. Y’all literally have me correctly defending Bernie Sanders. Y’all have literally lost it.
  5. Every time that there’s a movement, it’s always a fringe. The tea party (ultra right), the “moral majority”, the trump movement, the democratic socialists, etc... we need a movement in the center (kind of like when Bill Clinton came along) except I’d like slightly right of Bill. A house and senate that weren’t polar opposite from term to term depending on who’s carrying the smallest of majorities. We need to stop letting the extreme outliers from each side determine the parties’ directions. Government should be there to negotiate and mitigate our different points of view... not cram ideologies down each others’ throats. There is no negotiation or consolidation. Just extreme partisanship and obstructionism. Just as surely as Trumps rhetoric led to Wednesday’s events, a radical, partisan socialist agenda forced upon America only because the Ds hold a tiebreaker in the Senate will also lead to greater problems in our country.
  6. Vote for I understand. Defend his actions I cannot understand. I've said it repeatedly. Trump was nowhere near the best R candidate in '16, but he got the R nomination and was a better choice than Hillary, IMO. There were no other viable options in '20 except Trump and Biden, and I probably wouldn't have voted against Biden if his VP choice wasn't so objectionable to me, personally, and that matters considering how unlikely Biden is to complete his term. But he is, was, and always will be a buffoon.
  7. You're a smart dude... you need to question what is real and what is not. Just because it's "underground" and says what you want to hear doesn't make it true. You need to be skeptical when viewing the MSM, but you've also got to be ESPECIALLY careful when viewing non-traditional sources. That looks like the digital version of those low-end gossip mags they used to sell at the checkout counter. "Girl, 7, gives birth to three-headed catfish" on the cover and stuff.
  8. “wE diDn’T loSe!!!! iT wAS STolEn!!!!” No, those are Trumper tears. Most Repubicans/Conservatives are like Mike Pence who are unhappy that Ds won, but that’s about it. You move on. The use of mail-in ballots needs to be restricted to a needs-basis so we don’t run into this again, though. If Trumpers really believe that fraudulent mail-in ballots brought this about, the old “if you can’t beat them, join ‘em” phrase will come into play. At the end of the day, our entire system is based upon our vote counting. Once enough people decide that voting is futile, the entire thing collapses. Ds need to admit that the mail-in process is flawed and rife with the possibility for fraud and work with Rs to restrict its use. You can’t just drop millions of ballots in the mail and have them returned and counted without any checks/verifications. There was fraud. But how widespread isn’t clear at all and there’s no way to prove it with the mail-in system available in some states. But those are the rules this cycle and as much as winning the election while losing the popular vote feels a little shady, so does winning with a stack of unverified mail-in ballots.
  9. Omg... I just checked out your source. You do realize that your source is 100% trash, right?
  10. You do realize that everybody knows exactly who that dude is, right? He’s not Antifa, either. He isn’t pretending to be anybody other than himself.
  11. Lumberton doesn’t have the personnel to successfully run the spread. Never has, and if Coach Reyes is really, REALLY good in 6-8 years they might be able to develop some. I always say that BC kids don’t want to grow up and be QB1 for the cards... they want to be the ace pitcher. Lumberton boys grow up wanting to be first chair French horn.
  12. Here’s the deal, and what SHOULD separate us from them. We’re better than that. There’s nothing more pitiful than a person who says “B-b-b-but.... remember that time when you said...” They WERE party of riots. Not anymore. That’s what you can take from Wednesday.
  13. No... Bernie didn’t say “NOW LETS ALL GO DOWN TO THAT BASEBALL FIELD! WE’RE COMING FOR THEM! BE STRONG!!! NEVER GIVE UP! NEVER BACK DOWN!!! LET’S GOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Also, Bernie didn’t say afterwards that the lone whacko (not a mob, another distinction) at the baseball field was a special person and that he loved him.
  14. Not good. Supply and demand will rule. We already have more college graduates than jobs. It’s just going to create an even more miserable situation for all. You’ll have 100 degreed candidates applying for one or two job opportunities, and by definition employees can pay a even smaller salary because of the glut of graduates. Not to mention the increased tax burden that the rest of us will share, regardless of our education level. The argument goes “college grads make more money” and it’s often true. However, it’s also a function of the mindset and work ethic that achieve that distinction. A young person who is intelligent, self-disciplined, responsible, and motivated enough to work through a degree plan would be expected to achieve greater things. You can’t just hand people a degree and expect them to meet those same levels of success. Comparison. “People who religiously pay their tithes are blessed financially” they also say. It’s true... most people that I know who honor that commitment to their church DO seem to do really well. However, could their good fortune also be explained by their self discipline in regards to tithing also be reflected in ALL of their financial decisions? Their conservatism would also be exhibited in better financial decisions in regard to purchases, financial decisions, and saving as well? I’ll bet there’s a correlation. Nobody likes the idea that some kids go to college and some kids can’t. Life choices have consequences. It’s not a kid’s fault that his parents made bad decisions, but it’s not my place to make up for their shortcoming because I’ve been steadfast with my decision making.
  15. Oh, boy.... Somebody’s gonna be really disappointed when he works out the qbs.
  16. A Capitol police officer has died from his injuries sustained, too.... Who could have predicted this? Oh, wait... some dummy on the sports boards has been saying it for weeks. This was 100% caused by Trump. Instead of admitting defeat and conceding, he continued to proclaim (even as people were dying) that the election was stolen. His supporters would make a wild claim (easily disproven or with no evidence) and even Trump himself would latch onto it. His supporters continued to hold out hope because their hero did, too. I’ve said it before... if you support BLM you support rioting, looting, violence, etc... By the same token, if you’re still proclaiming to be “on the Trump Train” you’re no better those people that overran the Capitol on Wednesday. It’s time for decent people to distance themselves from the madness.
  17. Agreed. There’s no reason to pay those types of salaries and severance packages. It’s absurd.
  18. Every day you live is another day closer to your death. America has an expiration date. We’re just trying to postpone it as long as we can. Every great civilization falls victim to “progress,” and I’m afraid that we are speeding up that decline. It amazes me that the left can’t realize that what they are proposing is unsustainable. Eventually you’ll run out of other peoples’ money. We can’t afford to feed, clothe, house, educate, provide healthcare, and give a free cellphone to 7.5 billion people just by “making the rich pay their fair share.” Oh, I left out “pay reparations” and provide “environmental equality” whatever that means. “Corporate greed” they all cry. But when you raise taxes on businesses, they don’t just soak up those costs, they pass them onto their customers regardless if they make more or less than $400k per year. When corporations lose money, their stock prices plummet, which suddenly destroys that 401k that is heavily invested in stocks. Regardless of your income, btw. We can’t keep scratching stimulus checks and unemployment bonuses for everybody... it’s just not viable. Eventually people here will know hunger. Its inevitable.
  19. When they impeached a sitting President for “high crimes and misdemeanors” when they couldn’t even name a single “high crime or misdemeanor” that he’d committed. But I think they’d have grounds for one after that phone call Saturday and the riot yesterday.
  20. There's no difference between the guys in Washington yesterday and the people who were at riots back in the early summer. I've got no problem with calling them a mob, rioters, looters, thugs, etc.... it's what they were-both times.
  21. Just curious... How does calling everyone who disagrees with you an insulting name help the situation? Everybody is "Dim" or a "Demoncrat" or a "Libtard" or something. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of people who earn an individual insult, but we've got to move beyond blanketing everybody with whom we disagree.
  22. I’m serious.... that’s a big part of what has gotten us to where we are today. If you want to know what happened on Earth today, you can choose whether you’d like the far-left view of events (cnn, msnbc, or the major news outlets) or you can catch a right wing take on the days events over on fox or newsmax. If you REALLY want an unbiased news source, you have to check one out of Europe. That’s a shame. Last night all of the talking heads on CBS, (not guests, these were their hosts) were calling for Trump to be impeached or removed from office using the 25th Amendment as he isn’t fit to lead, is a danger to the country, etc... They literally are the PR wing of the Democrat party, and they should not be. Just tell us what happened, I can form my own opinions, thank you.
  23. You do have to admit the media’s duplicity in all of this. I’ve been watching the talking heads all afternoon calling this reprehensible, a mob, rioters, terrorism, an embarrassment, etc.... and they’re exactly right. I just wonder where all of that strong language was this summer when crowds were stomping store owners to death, burning police stations, looting stores, destroying cop cars, etc.... those people were “mostly peaceful protestors.” Literally... crowds in BLM plaza there in Washington were “protestors” in all of that smoke and tear gas, but yesterday they were “rioters” and “Trump” supporters. There needs to be an unbiased media source.
