That’s weird... because that’s what WOS always says after they drop a playoff game to Silsbee. [Hidden Content]
-
But BC does. 😂🤣
-
WOS= We Own Silsbee I don’t care what you’ve heard.
-
I'm pretty sure he's still got Trump Force One in a hangar somewhere.
-
After he’s better he can have a test for the antibodies that will be present if he’s had the virus. That one is just a finger prick, not the nasal swab.
-
It didn’t kill him... that’s been proven. But that’s not the point. If a person has other medical issues AND COVID, the cause of death is “COVID.” If granny is 89 and has a DNR.... guess what? Covid. If a person has end stage Alzheimer’s and has been bed ridden for two years and unresponsive for 9 months and somehow contracts Covid....COVID. If a person has cancer and has exhausted all possible treatment plans and is on hospice waiting to die and a CNA spreads the virus to the cancer patient. Covid. There’s a reason that over half of the Covid casualties here have been residents in long term care facilities at the end of their natural lives.
-
But if you were recovering from COVID with lung scarring, etc, an otherwise harmless knee on the neck could send you on to the promised land a little earlier than we’d all expect.
-
I only know of one person that I believe was a false negative... but she had all of the symptoms. Hopefully she’ll take the antibodies test at some point and clear up whether she’s had it. I think there are a lot that have had it but aren’t included in the official stats because they weren’t tested or never had symptoms. I also think there has been some “fudging” of the numbers in regards to COVID linked deaths as well... so many of the deaths were nursing home patients, and let’s be honest... a bunch of them had to have been on DNR restrictions. A freaking UTI can do you in when you’re 90+ years old. But it sounds like you kid probably had it.
-
But you can have both... how many have been reported as COVID when it wasn’t a factor? Technically George Floyd would count as a Covid death.... if he was active as has been reported.
-
Sounds about right. If I’m not mistaken, your bout with it won’t count as a confirmed case according to guidelines, will it?
-
I’d be excited for a competitive game after the last couple of years. You know that I was kidding when I said that about Lib/Sil being for third. I don’t think Silsbee is a lock for first/second anymore. They might still finish there (and I wouldn’t be surprised), but they are off to a shaky start. Kinda strange hearing about the o-line problems because I understood that was the Tiger King’s specialty. Dunno.
-
When an offensive juggernaut like HJ puts 26 on a team and the next week Silsbee can only find the end zone twice against the same squad.... something’s up. I’m fully aware that los Tigres tend to get it together as the season moves on... but we’re two weeks into district play now. I’m concerned, honestly.

Is it truly better to have loved and lost or to have never loved at all? Y’all ‘bout as impressive as us these days.

Mecca.... I said it.

I haven’t really been following B-Unit this year... how are the locals feeling about the new coaching staff? Sounds like they hung a lot of points on the Port Neches Football Team. -

You were in College for 10 years? Must be Dr. Bulldogs92. -
Jeez.... this is the same Liberty team that HJ thumped last week? The Tigres are usually pulling it together by now.

One down....

Wrong again.

Yeah.... no offense, but we’ve been a small dog in 4AD1 and we’re well aware of what it feels like to play schools that were a lot larger than us. More bodies, bigger bodies, more athletic big kids. I’ve been saying for years that I’d rather get out-athleted by Silsbee or WOS than laid on by a bunch of fat boys from Huffman or Lumberton. We should be able to lay on teams like HF and OF. If we can’t, that’s on us. -
West Orange Stark vs Hardin-Jefferson

“The board is doing away with "chain gang,” a long-time nickname used by the defense of the West Orange-Stark High School football team according to the announcement. The nickname is being dropped due to the “negative historical root of the phrase” according to the statement.” It doesn’t really matter how “fond” of the slur that your moderator is, or how accustomed he is to using that label now that they’ve asked all of us to stop using it. At this point he needs to stop using that insulting name and apologize for being insensitive, or give up his position of authority here. There’s no excuse for continuing to use a slur once somebody points out your shortcoming, and it definitely shouldn’t be excused like it sounds like you’re trying to do. -
Dude... when mods are using slurs that protected classes have proclaimed to be offensive and oppressive... He needs to be called out. I thought I was supposed to call out racial injustice wherever I see it, right? Stop being a baby.

Not uptight at the board at all... it's just kinda nutty when the school/team announce that the name is insensitive and offensive and one of the mods says "who cares, I'll call them what I want." It's a slur. Plain and simple.
