  1. If one truly believes that the right to vote is sacred, then one should also believe that a fraudulent vote is a terrible thing that should be avoided at all costs. If Republicans were willing to commit voter fraud on a large scale like the big machines (predominantly Democrat) in the big cities have been doing for decades, Dems would suddenly be in favor of ID laws. If all of those illegal immigrants (errrr.... “undocumented workers”) were gonna vote for Republicans, Nancy Pelosi would be down on the border herself with a wire stretcher and some leather gloves.
  2. Look what promoting black women did for the postal service. I'm joking, of course.
  3. That all depends on who's asking the question.
  4. Good grief. I've always refused to pay attention to those guys.
  5. Nobody cared when Obamacare came out of the Senate (All bills that generate new taxes are supposed to originate in the House)... we just called the new taxes "penalties" and we all lived happily ever after. Until the Supreme Court knocked it all back down, of course.
  6. I have no idea where that's from, lol. Am I showing my advancing age again?
  7. If it put on a red nose, big floppy shoes, and start making balloon animals for kids, I shouldn’t get too upset if people call me a clown.
  8. I just get tired of the excuses. Racism is obviously the cause of black on black crime. Is it redlining or white flight? Either way, the black community definitely isn’t to blame. Young black men in prison? They’re all innocent, but they were scooped up by the racist justice system and therefore you have fatherlessness. Once again, you can’t expect black people to pretend to be responsible. This is also the fault of Whitey. The fact that literally dozens of blacks are shot in Chicago every freaking weekend, but they all chimp out because a cop shoots a man who was shooting at him.... you know, because “black lives matter.” Sometimes it’s not even worth talking about.
  9. The only thing that stops the descent into bondage would possibly be a civil war..... if the right wins, things move onward, if the left wins, it's just bondage. The only problem is that there are no guarantees that what happens if the right wins doesn't turn out to be outright fascism, either.
  10. Personally? I hate to sound like a tin-foil hat wearing conspiracy theorist, but I think we'll see the anger of the mob on the left harnessed by the powers that be into outright persecution and oppression of the minority on the right. All you have to do is watch the lawlessness that's being permitted in major cities. If rioters want to beat up your car or even beat the hell out of you, they'll get away with it. But if you stand up for yourself and display a firearm in an effort to protect yourself and your property, you're headed to jail. Every day you have old conservatives dying of old age and young socialists turning 18. It's a seemingly inevitable tidal wave. Once the opposition (the right) has been subdued, the far left liberal leadership will ascend to power and privilege and those who took up the socialist cause will be enslaved by their former leaders. No guns, no right to speak, no property, no right to worship, and no jobs... just basically forced to live at the pleasure of the the ruling class. It's textbook for what happened in every communist revolution that we've seen. The leaders on the left said that everything must be torn down to be rebuilt "equally." Except in reality the communist leaders were the only ones that prospered and the proletariat suffered. Literally every single time. Russia, Cuba, Venezuela, Romania (basically every eastern-bloc nation), Vietnam, Korea, China.... It happens over and over. It's so comical that all of these kids have the entire world of knowledge in their hands, but they thing that socialism is the key and instead of looking at history to see how it really ends, they use their smart phones to see who military bases and statues are named after so that they can tear them down. Literally... every conservative out there feels like their right to speak their opinions has been extinguished. If you criticize BLM, you're probably going to lose your job. The next step is going to be re-indoctrination... where you renounce your beliefs and swear allegiance to "the cause" or face prosecution. It's happening before our eyes. We'll have our own "crystal night" within a year if Biden wins, his radical VP takes over, and both houses of Congress go Democrat. It's already happening on a limited scale in major cities. [Hidden Content] At least that's my opinion.
  11. I think we're beyond that. I think we're probably getting close to the dependence stage. So many of our citizens rely on government for their very existence... Housing, food, medical, cell phone, etc.... The fact that so many of our young people are pushing for socialism (which is basically stating that our needs should be met by others) I think that we are getting perilously close to that dependent stage. Mitt Romney got roasted for it, but over half of Americans don't even pay income taxes anymore. If you aren't contributing but enjoying the rewards, you're dependent.
  12. There ARE people out there who would like to see more requirements to be able to vote. There is a segment of the population that believes that "uninformed" people should be discouraged from voting... much in the way that juries are picked. Voter ID requirements are the simplest and most effective first step in weeding out the goofballs. I've got the right/obligation to vote. But what about my parents who are incoherent? Should I intercept their ballots and vote "the way they'd want to?" Or what if the administrator at the nursing home intercepts their mail-in ballots and votes for a candidate that "looks like her?" Because trust me... my step-grandmother voted twice after she went to the nursing home with dementia. We wouldn't have known if the local democratic party hadn't started soliciting her for donations. There's a segment of the population that believes that there should be more barriers/prerequisites to vote. The idea that every informed voter can have his/her vote canceled by someone who couldn't even pick either candidate out of a photo array is extremely annoying, and it's how we end up with crappy leaders. The argument can be made that only tax payers (property, income, etc) should be allowed to vote. It's widely accepted that the fall of the Roman Empire was largely accelerated by letting non-landowners vote. People who aren't going to be affected by higher property taxes or higher income taxes will almost always vote for tax increases. If you ask me, we need to go back to voting like they do whenever we "give" those middle-easterners a taste of sweet democracy. You go down to the polls on election day and they dye your thumb purple once you've voted. So much less trouble that way. This guy hit it pretty much spot on. If you ask me, we're right at the tail end.... "dependence" on the state is the condition of so many of our voters. A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to selfishness; From selfishness to complacency; From complacency to apathy; From apathy to dependence; From dependence back into bondage.
  13. That’s not accurate. The last year (2018?) for which statistics are available there were just over 7400 black murder victims. In the 70s and 80s on some Indian Reservations, you were required to be sterilized. Abortion has long been a tool of oppression and genocide. The same government that would sterilize women to cut birth rates on Reservations starts building abortion clinics in black neighborhoods and everybody cheers [Hidden Content]
  14. I read where some of the states will already be early voting when the first debate is held.... on September 29th. I can’t think of a single reason why any state would need 6 weeks of voting. I strongly believe that every US citizen should has the right to vote ONCE.
  15. I think it would slow them down tremendously. I can’t even begin to think about the implications that would be felt racially. It’s a dirty secret that blacks have way more abortions proportionally in the US. About 13% of the population is black, but 40% of abortions are performed on black women. That’s a pretty alarming statistic. But let’s not forget... black lives matter. I saw an interesting article that questioned whether the overall decline in violent crime that occurred in the 90s in the US could be attributed to the legalization of abortion in 1973. It asked if kids that were unwanted and unguided and typically ended up involved in crime were aborted and therefore never grew up and became criminals. Like I said before- I believe that it’s wrong. It’s not a choice that I would make for myself or encourage others to do. But with the huge welfare state that we already have, you have to wonder about the rationale behind a policy change that would undoubtedly lead to more unwanted children that we’d all be responsible for raising and eventually incarcerating.
  16. No doubt... I’m sure that it happens for all types of reasons. I’ve seen chicks hustle dudes for “half of the cost” when there wasn’t a bun in the oven, and I’ve seen girls threaten to get one if a guy won’t do as the female wishes. I have no doubt that females are often, as you suggested, coerced into having one performed. The whole process is just unsavory, and it’s kinda funny how that’s the issue that the left plants a flag upon and claims for their own as the true test of whether or not you support women. It’s baffling.
  17. My opinion-Morally it’s not right, and it’s the first step down a slippery slope. Most people would find no fault with the abortion pill. Some find the first trimester procedure to be “acceptable.” Others argue that a woman has a right to one up until birth. How do we feel about ending the life of a newborn with severe birth defects or drug addiction? Or maybe just because it’s “her choice?” The visual of a husband taking a newborn baby and smashing its head into a rock is almost unimaginable. But you have Democrats who actually argue that a mom has that right. The next logical step is to move onto the elderly or sick. Once we started killing humans in the name of science or liberty, it’s too easy to move further and further into darker decisions. Homosexuality is considered sinful in the Bible. That’s considered hate speech these days. But somewhere between illegal and celebrating pride week, state sanctioned marriages, and glorifying images of it, we ended up with the push to recognize pedophilia as a sexual orientation. If a grown man can pretend to be a female (or any of the other 52 genders), then why can’t he identify as an 8 year boy who just wants play doctor with his little friends? My position on abortion has evolved. I’m personally opposed to it, but recognize that others might not share my beliefs. It’s their decision, in my opinion. My shift came in 2012 when that Democrats made “a woman’s right to choose, regardless of her ability to pay” a plank in their platform. If freedom to choose means that I (who am opposed) have to pick up the tab, then I guess I didn’t understand what was meant by “right to choose” and formally changed my opinion. I believe that we all have the right to keep and bear arms. That doesn’t mean that the taxpayers have to give me as many guns as I want.
  18. That’s the whole thing. Would Bobby Knight have made a good President? He was about as qualified as Trump and equally experienced. But there would still be people screaming about how Bobby Knight was the best President ever. Just like the ones that say Trump (or Obama) was the best ever. What they should be saying is “my favorite President, ever.” That’s a little more accurate.
  19. What’s the point of arguing this? It’s entirely possible that PamFam just dislikes Biden the least. It’s okay. Personally, I wouldn’t vote for Trump if there was any other viable option. He’s a jerk, but that’s kinda excusable if things are rocking. When things are going badly (like now), all you’re left with is a jerk. Pretending that Trump is sent here by God himself to save us from certain destruction isn’t a pitch that moderates and undecideds want to hear. Even conservatives with half a brain don’t want to hear it, either. I admire that Trump donates his salary. I like that he at least listens to Christian social concerns. I like that he stands up to a hostile liberal media. I think he’s a terrible leader and an inept politician. He’s done less to unite us than Obama did. Anybody that believes Trump wasn’t elected with an “it’s us against them” platform isn’t being honest with themselves. The guy is divisive, period.
  20. And sometimes people just vote against a particular candidate for any number of reasons. And that’s okay. A politician has to do two things really well. He has to make it really hard to vote for the other guy and really easy to vote for himself. Trump is pretty good at the first and really bad at the second.
  21. When I was a kid the biggest fundraiser our Church youth group had was the “slave auction.” All of the kids went across the auction block after church one Sunday and people from the church bid for your services for a day of work. I can proudly say that I often brought top dollar. It seems a little tone deaf looking back. No black folks at our church, either. I guess we just didn’t know any better.
  22. I thought that Trump was probably about the 15th best candidate at that first Republican debate in the summer of '15.
  23. Man, it sounds like you have it all figured out. I just don’t understand why you and your friends aren’t cops. I mean, y’all could just leave your guns at the community center and show up at every scene with your sirens blaring (after you drove there at the posted speed limits) and defuse every situation without even using hurtful words. Bad white guys would just hop in the front seat next to and head off to jail (since we all know that racism is the only reason blacks get arrested). Man, c’mon... we need you and your type to save us from them polices.
  24. And the wounds must be life-threatening, not just superficial. AND the officer must return fire with a weapon of the same caliber or smaller, and in a number of shots not to exceed the amount used by the citizen.
  25. I think the "gun! gun! gun!" is used to warn other officers that the suspect has a weapon in their hands. This is what's hard to imagine. You know that feeling you get when you wake up and think that you heard someone in your house? Now, imagine that you are that person, and the human being wearing the police uniform that's actually outside your window has the same exact adrenaline/fear going.... And both of you have weapons drawn. Something bad is going to happen, and more often than not the trained person will survive the events. I don't think it's as easy as just saying "the police have to announce themselves whenever conducting an investigation or serving a warrant," because that will without a doubt expose LEOs to even greater danger when they are forced to confront bad guys. I really wish that I knew the answer. Like I said, though..... I can relate. I could very easily be one those people who could be shot if they come into my place unannounced.
