[Hidden Content] My understanding is that it was for the the SS and Medicare portions... the entire 7.65% that is withheld from the employee, as well as the 7.65% match that is contributed by the employer. The article doesn't spell it out in black and white. If you are an employee, you would save 7.65 and your employer would save 7.65%. If you are self-employed, you'd be saving the entire 15.3% self employment contribution that's required of you. In hard dollars the savings is the same, but it's not split between employer/employee if you're a one man show. That's my understanding, anyways. EDIT* The more I read, the more confused I get. It’s fuzzy. It’s a deferral at this point, not an actual holiday. As it stands those funds will still be due at tax time. At least that’s my understanding. My employer is trying to decide how to move forward. 1. No money withheld from the employees. 2. Withhold the money and hold it until we better know what’s happening. 3. just keep withholding and making payments to the gov as normal. It’s about managing our firm’s (and the employees’ risk). I think the principal is an interesting one because it will help self-employed taxpayers the most, and only affects those who are actually working. I think that Harris probably better than Warren as far as being a completely far left looney toon. Less dangerous to American Dream that most of us are trying to make come true. I was somewhat curious to see if he'd pick a dark horse (no pun intended) running mate that upon further inspection would turn out to be a little more moderate. If Biden is elected, I think that Harris will succeed him during his first term. I predict a whole lot pushing on Social Justice/Equality issues, but at her core I think Harris is just an old school, "what's in it for me" hustler. Which I can respect, lol.

It’s an unfortunate circumstance, but it again it only illustrates that claims of oppression against the black community are a joke. Every day you have black kids killing each other.... dead silence. You have instances like this where a black persons kills an innocent white 5 year old.... nothing. Or the black fellow that tossed the kid over the third floor railing at the Mall of America.... deafening silence again. But let a black man get killed by a white person (with a badge or without) and the 24 hour news cycle is all over that for two weeks straight.... rioting, looting, nationwide protests, celebrities speaking out, Democrat in the land is out blaming Trump, etc, etc.... When the statistics all show that each year almost twice as many whites die at the hands of blacks than vice versa. You’d never believe that if you just watched the news.

If one truly believes that the right to vote is sacred, then one should also believe that a fraudulent vote is a terrible thing that should be avoided at all costs. If Republicans were willing to commit voter fraud on a large scale like the big machines (predominantly Democrat) in the big cities have been doing for decades, Dems would suddenly be in favor of ID laws. If all of those illegal immigrants (errrr.... “undocumented workers”) were gonna vote for Republicans, Nancy Pelosi would be down on the border herself with a wire stretcher and some leather gloves.
