  1. He misspoke... no big deal. The fact that he’s a bigot is a no-go for me. [Hidden Content]
  2. Wayne Bertram Williams believes Black Lives Matter. That’s literally my opinion of the group
  3. It’s just laughable to me... People are upset and dogging Drew Brees as “insensitive” because he felt that protesting during the national anthem was “insensitive.” Your right to block the interstate is superior to my right to travel down said interstate. We live in glorious times.
  4. This might surprise a lot of you, but I’m a little bit conservative. Trump was nowhere near my first choice for President, but he was the nominee and I cast all of my votes for him. For days all that we heard is “where is Trump? He’s just hiding in the White House while Rome burns!” He finally comes out and it’s all “He used a BIBLE!!!” and “keep George Floyd’s name out of your mouth!” Which is pretty much what everybody knew was going to happen. Having said that, I have been disappointed in his lack of leadership during this time of unrest. Despite the fact that the left was going to be critical of him for whatever he did, we need a leader that can at least come across as a unifier and not as a counter-protestor.
  5. I tend to give cops the benefit of the doubt and you tend to be more.... what’s a nice way of saying anti-cop? I speculated earlier that their might have been some issues with hierarchy between senior officers and juniors... I never dreamed that two of those dudes were in their first week. What are your feelings about the two rookies? I can’t imagine being in my first week on the job and suddenly fired, jailed, and needing $100k cash to spring my million dollar bond to get out of jail before I get my first paycheck. And what I did wrong was not drag the guy that’s supposed to be training me off of a suspect.
  6. I just read where two of the four officers that were arrested were on their 4th shift ever as a policeman. Them boys hadn’t even gotten their first paychecks yet, lol. It also kinda explains why those two might have hesitated to intervene. Also makes me wonder if Officer Chauvin might have been trying to “show them the ropes” and it led to some really bad judgment on his part. Does that change anybody’s feelings towards those two officers?
  7. I thought you were kidding... PAT is Port Arthur, Texas. That's what city buses had down their side in big letters "PAT" for Port Arthur Transit. Then it got all famous in that Jay-z song. The posters on the board are real heavily conservative so sometimes it feels like Big Girl, Kountzer, and the rest are kinda getting ganged up on a little bit, lol.
  8. That’s where you and I are different. I will never be quiet just to avoid ruffling somebody’s feathers while they’re spreading falsehoods. The news story for the last three years in the NFL has been concussions and kneeling. We’ve moved backwards in AMERICA to the point where Drew Brees had to apologize for saying “I don’t agree with kneeling during the anthem.” What? That’s the reason that things have deteriorated here in the US. We’ve babied, coddled, and entertained stupidity and now we’re here. Do you feel like the only way to fix the “inherently racist legal system in America” is to defund police departments? Then you’d better start speaking up when people say that you’re a racist. People absolutely have a right to say “the legal system is racist.” And you, as an officer, have a responsibility to say “no, CRIMINALS commit more crimes... it doesn’t matter which color they are.” Why is it okay to protest and riot about the statistical anomaly that it “unarmed black men killed by cops” but racist to to point absolute genocide being committed on blacks by blacks? Genocide isn’t the right word, but there isn’t a word to describe a race killing their own in mass numbers. That dude is a clown. He still can’t admit that there’s a problem in PAT (my hometown) except the old standby, racism.
  9. Dude... give up. You can’t argue logic with the willfully ignorant. The new cause is Breonna Taylor from Louisville. She was murdered by police in her home. They shot her 8 times. Nobody can understand why the cops haven’t been arrested yet. Oh. Small detail. The police were serving a search warrant and Breonna’s boyfriend freaking shot a cop first. She got caught up in the crossfire. Racist pigs, though. No justice no no peace. Hands up don’t shoot.
  10. Your opinion means nothing when you can’t even admit that there’s a black on black crime problem in Port Arthur that’s a way bigger detriment to the black community than a bad cop in Minnesota. That’s just some more of that, what did you call it...” people on this board looking for anything and I mean anything to not have to deal with the truth.” You see, I was born in Port Arthur. My family was in Port Arthur for almost a hundred years. The last of us left around 2000. We really like what y’all have done with the place.
  11. I think you mistook what I said. I’m not trying to justify anything. I don’t think that cop put on his gear that day with the express purpose of killing anybody, much less somebody he probably knew. I’m just curious as to what got him to a place where he’s committing textbook police brutality. it’s a rhetorical question for which there will be no answer. It doesn’t fix anything and it definitely doesn’t excuse anything. You don’t have to keep throwing facts at me. I’m already aware of what happened out there.
  12. I’ll be honest... All that those crying racism had was a gut feeling about the case at that time. Turns out that they were probably right based on this new revelation. But my guess is that those people wouldn’t back off of their unfounded allegation if this revelation wasn’t brought forward. And for what it’s worth, Mr Arbery would likely be alive today if he hadn’t gotten mad and tried to take the shotgun from that dude.
  13. I don’t know what the solution is. I watched Drew Brees get savaged yesterday for saying: "I will never agree with anybody disrespecting the flag of the United States of America or our country," Brees told Daniel Roberts of Yahoo Finance. "... Is everything right with our country right now? No, it's not. We still have a long way to go. "But I think what you do by standing there and showing respect to the flag with your hand over your heart, is it shows unity. It shows that we are all in this together, we can all do better and that we are all part of the solution." That’s considered offensive speech in America today.... he actually apologized for saying this.
  14. No. But I’ve wondered if there could have been previous animosity between the two of them. I’ve also wondered IF they actually knew each other, that Chauvin could have been acting that way out of frustration/disappointment over Mr Floyd’s apparent drugged state that day. I’ve also wondered if Chauvin had seen how dangerous of a person that Floyd was from his time bouncing at da club and knew that he didn’t want to have to fight with him if he let him up. There’s just no way to know.
  15. That’s plain enough. I think that the cop did was wrong, but I haven’t been convinced that it contributed to Mr Floyd’s death. But I’ll guarantee that it didn’t help even a little bit.
  16. THIS RIGHT HERE!!!! [Hidden Content] THIS is the type of thing that makes me say, “okay... there may have been a racial element to this killing.” At least two people have come out and testified that the shooter voiced an intense dislike for black people.
  17. I don’t think that the state will ever offer a plea. It won’t appease the masses.
  18. I guess what I’d be charged with would depend on whether or not the prosecutor was a follower of Louis Farrakhan. You know, like the prosecutor in this case. Because, you know.... “racism.”
  19. Third.... was he wearing a blue shirt? The actual first question should be what was the cause of death? But to answer your questions... Too much force and didn’t do everything to preserve life. That’s not second degree murder.
  20. So let me get this straight. The knee they didn’t kill him is the reason that he’s dead?
  21. Sigh... he wasn’t choked. No evidence of asphyxiation. You’re right. Four minutes without oxygen to the brain is a long time. The question is whether the lack of oxygen came from a choke (No evidence) or a cardiovascular incident caused by heart disease, hypertension, fentanyl intoxication, and stress (proof of all four present).
  22. He tested positive for it postmortem. It’s in the final autopsy report released yesterday. They made it sound like it was already resolved, though, and the autopsy didn’t mention COVID contributing to his death.
  23. Okay... by your logic if Mr Floyd ran from the scene and had a massive heart attack, the cops would still be responsible because Mr Floyd would still be alive if the police weren’t chasing him. Am I missing something? Something I watched earlier said that Chauvin wanted to hurt Mr Floyd. That’s true, in my opinion. There’s no other reason to stay on him like that. Chauvin was feeding off of the negative reactions from bystanders. I have a feeling that the cop would have gotten up sooner if bystanders weren’t telling him to... and that’s messed up. I also think that Chauvin believed that the knee wasn’t endangering Mr Floyd’s life. That confidence didn’t take into account the obvious reality that Mr Floyd was having a medical emergency.
  24. First off, whether what you witnessed a murder is up for investigation, prosecution, and possibly conviction. To answer your question... if my grandfather is having a heart attack while being arrested, then no, being handcuffed and restrained didn’t kill Pop-pop. Did the police have an obligation to get off of his back and check on him? Absolutely. Do I feel like the officer’s behavior should result in criminal punishment? Certainly. Do I believe that the officer killed grandpa? Nope... because he didn’t. We live in an era where you can drive to the snow cone stand and tragically back over our own child with our own vehicle and sue Ford Motor Company.... we’ve become masters at assigning blame where none (or little) lies. How is Mr Crump going to be paid for his services? Did Mr Floyd’s family pay a hefty retainer to secure the services of the most prolific attorney representing the deceased and their families after these events? He doesn’t get paid unless the family gets paid. The police HAVE to be responsible or the family and the attorneys (and “independent” medical examiner) go home broke. I knew what Mr Crump and his hired ME were going to say before any evidence was released. I was just hoping they there would be some physical evidence to bolster their claims... but there hasn’t been. On the other hand, I feel like it’s the same thing that the first two prosecutors in the Arbery case in Georgia were doing, too.
