Go Tigers. I can’t believe I just said that. -

Well said. What a convincing argument. You convinced me, and probably everybody else here today. Thank you so much. -

What’d I miss? I was in the kitchen ironing my robe. -

I don’t expect Fairchief’s stock to go up once the qb moves on. It makes since to get out while the getting is good. -

Did T. Brown ever rejoin the team? No details needed. -
I don't think anybody knows much about the BC Cardinals right now... Other than the fact that we stink.

It’s the truth. I was always a Lamar man first and foremost.

Well, I guess the future might be a little brighter, lol. I stand corrected. Thanks.

Nice job on the Lum win, btw. There comes a point in any matchup where you, as a player, come to grips with the fact that you either did (or didn’t) do everything that you could to be prepared. I think this entire season was one where the team knew in their hearts that they weren’t ready and they knew it. The only question is whether or not you get your you-know-what into the weight room and do something about it, or just put on your letterman and go drink beers. All kidding aside, I don’t know how much better we would have been with Dubois. We definitely were the opposite of “stacked” this year from an all-out athletic standpoint. Our team last year was hard-hit by injuries to key guys, and this year was just bad with no excuses we can point to. I’m just glad the whole thing is over.

Dude... I’ve said it before. Year in and year out we have athletes who don’t play football. You can see them on the sidelines, throwing prettier spirals than than the actual quarterback. Or maybe, like this year, you see the o-line coach’s kid (who obviously has the build) just hanging out on the sidelines because “he wants to focus on baseball.” It’s a tradition at BC to NOT play, but still hang around on the sidelines. Our sophomore starting tailback from last year didn’t play this year. Which is a bit more honest than the typical “shoulder injuries” that keep kids off of the field their senior year... the good news is that the shoulders aren’t so bad that they can’t raise their arms to put on their old fb jerseys and go to the pep rallies with their “team” and chill on the sidelines during games. I mean, it’s not a sport for kids who are soft. I get it. But if you don’t want to play, stay off the flippin’ sidelines. Rumor has it that one of the reasons Dubois left was that he was into his second offseason program with a bunch of kids that wouldn’t show up to the weight room and so he moved on. You really can’t blame him. If Whataburger and weed are more important than winning, or even being as good as a player as you were 2 years ago, well... the team ends up 2-8. A complete and total lack of leadership on the team.

Hell, I don’t know. That’s a lie... I do know. We stink. You can’t blame any particular person or group. It’s been a disaster from the coach all of the way down to the kids who don’t even play. Normally I’d say something about next year, but I honestly can’t see anything to look forward to.

I'd like to play for the Dillon Panthers.

Cleveland had a beastly girl playing 7th grade football about three years ago. She was hand-down the best player on their team. She was an RB. She had hair flying everywhere. It was kinda sad because after the game their team headed off to the fieldhouse and she headed the other direction (towards a girls' locker room, I'm fairly certain).

West Orange Stark vs Hamshire Fannett
CardinalBacker replied to tennisbc's topic in High School Football
I think the Stangs have it, but HF has been playing opponents tougher this year than expected. Can you imagine what would happen if HF somehow managed to pull this off? I mean, WOS has already clinched #1... sometimes all it takes is one bad half. -

The new coach is gonna LOVE it. -
Oh, please. I'm just an honest voice of reason. Some people can't handle that.

It's wasn't a problem... when you can't win a discussion, start calling names. I get that a lot.

Silsbee 27 Hamshire-Fannett 26/FINAL
CardinalBacker replied to WOSgrad's topic in High School Football
Don’t be hating. We have a cross country SC, too. I think you meant our “choir” not “chior.” Shoot... if we had y’all’s talent we’d have no less than 6 football championships. And if y’all had our intellect you’d move out of Silsbee. And we still are kinda segregated, I guess. Does that mean that your wins over us don’t count? -

So... how many football titles do you have? In fact, before 2016, y’all had never even won a single anything, despite all of the talent that has been up and down the halls over there. Nothing. No thing. Not a single thing. I mean, until year before last, “Sexual Chocolate” was the only thing y’all had to talk about. Didn’t y’all run into “eventual state champ” Carthage in the first round? Paper Tigers. So much promise, so much disappointment. -
That’s the real problem in Livingston... there’s no history of success and no real expectations in the community. When you look at other communities where there is an amount of pride... where kids work hard towards the day where they can take the field as an Indian or a Bulldog or a Mustang, even if their place is on the o-line. You don’t have that in Livingston. It doesn’t helps that they’ve been bounced around from district to district so much that there are no rivalries, either.
