They’ll be 3a D1 sooner or later.

I think we turned in 780 two years ago. I wish we could end up in a district that wasn’t packed with schools at 1100 plus.
-
[Hidden Content] Why don't you ask the coaches from HF about "making" the kids work out? Plaintiffs are asking for somewhere between $200k and a cool milly. Sounds like somebody owes me several million for all of the jump squats I've done.
-
It would be a long haul for whoever comes up short in our district with a trip to Carthage, Henderson, Kilgore, etc....
-
I'm just saying... Everybody is gung-ho about playing tough competition in non-district and getting better right up until the point at which they lose a couple of key players to injury before district. Then everybody is like "we would be going to state but the stupid coach keeps scheduling teams that we have no chance of beating, and now we're missing __________, ____________, and ____________.... those kids will probably not even get to play college ball now. And for what? So that the coach beats a few good schools and can move on to a better job?" I've seen it all before.

Of course. It makes sense that most kids that manage to stay enrolled up to that last year end up soldiering across the finish line. That 99% number sounds a lot more realistic for that group. The horrifying thought is that 32% ofnincoming freshmen won’t graduate. One out of every three freshmen end up dropping out. One out of three. It’s hard to wrap my brain around.
-
That’s weird, because when you research a little from people who didn’t work in administration, they state 68% graduation rate. It might be a rounding error, though. [Hidden Content] I guess my point to Pak is that it’s even more of an advantage to PAM based on the fact that IF PAM’s dropout rate was similar to other schools, PAM’s enrollment would be well up into the 6A range... and I doubt that much of the actual talent that exists drops out. The unspoken reason why PAM always seems so talent-rich for their size is because so many untalented kids drop out. I’m guessing not a lot of The talented athletes drop out.
-
I don't think you want to start a conversation about how many kids PAM graduates. That number doesn't really reflect actual enrollment.
-
It's all fun and games until you lose a key player or two for the year in what would later be called a "meaningless" pre-season game against a tough school.
-
They couldn't wait to get rid of Bucket Head's boy.... I shake my head when I see how well Grady is doing in Bellville. Where is Randy now?
-
They just don't care about winning in Livingston. There are towns that win almost all of the time, there are towns that win a lot. There are even towns that don't win much but wish like heck that they won more often. Livingston as a community doesn't, and hasn't ever, really gave a flip about how the football program fares. That's a fact, and anybody that argues that point has probably never been to a football game that wasn't held in Lion Stadium.
-
I'll stand in for the Lion faithful. "Remember Mark Moseley?" That's all I've got.

LiCkeM doesn’t make the playoffs despite beating Silsbee? Meh. -
The Cards have just had the Bears number for the last couple of years. Winters will get his touches, but at the end of the day I see Dubois’ coaching being what helps us to take home the “w” in front of a packed house at historic Larry Ward Stadium in scenic Bridge City. This should be a good football game.

It’s all in good fun, my man... I go to great lengths to make sure my trash talk is topical and relevant. Besides... Silsbee self-glossed themselves as Smoketown. It’s not some garbage I made up on my own. The Tigers will be back. It only takes two wins to get in and y’all shouldn’t have any problems with Cleveland. Huffman seems down this year, and we’re not exactly setting the world on fire. I don’t think the Tigers will have any problem getting motivated about facing us. Don’t sweat it. -

I didn’t think Newton had a legitimate shot last year. This year I believe that they do. Now, it’s still kinda like the JV state championship, but a ring is a ring, I guess. I just had to throw that in there. Newton still sucks. -
Inequality. It’s everywhere. This is just more proof.

Dude.... you can’t tighten a chinstrap up tight enough when you cram 2.25 cubic feet of dreads up in those helmets.
