Lumberton Raider Nation and Coach Babin

The only thing I can see is more proof that BC got a heckuva coach in Dubois. -
West Brook's Flanigan Placed on Administrative Leave
CardinalBacker replied to WOSgrad's topic in High School Football
Ok, here's my opinion. Not facts, just opinions based on things I've seen and read. First, I've read someplace that Coach Flannigan had already talked to admin about the problem AND had a particular kid that he suspected of being the thief. I can't verify this, and I don't know those to be facts. I'm curious if he had actually already ID'd the thief and the school declined to do anything based on a "lack of evidence." Second, not just any kid has access to the locker room. For a kid to be hanging around AFTER school and not totally out-of-place by entering the locker room, you have to assume that the kid was either an athlete or a child of a teacher or admin. It's no like some stoner could repeatedly wonder in off of the parking lot and start grabbing stuff. I recall the same situation a few years ago in Woodville. Somebody was stealing from the athletes's lockers and it eventually turned out to be one of the coaches' younger kids. I'm really curious to see whether or not it turns out to be a kid that is somehow connected (and protected) by admin over there. Once again, just an opinion, not facts. -
I'd have to check, but I'm certain that BC's Zach Honeycutt had that many INTs and still ended up on the 2nd team All District. He had three against Huffman alone. I guess he got slapped, too.
-
Ah, the annual Silsbee crying fit that happens when Silsbee doesn't sweep All-District and the Willie Ray Smith Awards. Last year Qb Thomas was the one getting slapped in the face when passed over for the Willie Ray Smith award.

I firmly believe that coaches remember kids and their behavior as well as the plays they make. Bruce spent a large portion of our game jawing at our sideline. Not sure that stuff like that SHOULD have an effect in voting, but I'll bet it does.

Somebody throw out a hypothetical, "just an unsubstantiated rumor, so take it with a grain of salt" explanation with full disclaimers so that we can all know what we're talking about here? -
You've got to go with WOS until somebody beats them.

Stafford played a good game and earned that "w." We made a few mistakes, and they made us pay. They also made key stops when it counted. We got the ball back with practically no time left and the score at 28-31. Stafford recovered a fumble on the last play of the game to score their last 6. I was was really proud that our kids never gave up even when down by 17 in the fourth. To pull back within 3 points shows how much heart the Cards played with. Stafford's program has come long way since we rolled them in 2010 and 2011. They should be proud of themselves for tonight.

Download Fox Sports Southwest Football Friday app and search up the game. It's not a broadcast but there are instant updates.

BC o-line. I think they've only given up two sacks all year. For real, though.... everybody knows what we're going to do, but our backs still get hundreds of yards each week. That's the line.

If the company I work for gets wind that I'm interviewing for the same position with our competitors.... well, I'd better hope the interview went well. Honestly, if a coach feels the need to try and get out every spring, let him go. If I was a trustee, I'd probably let BF know that if he applies for another position, I'd vote to fire him. Period. I understand wanting to coach at your alma mater or something but to carpet bomb every upgrade opening in the state each spring is a little insulting to your current employer.

We need to clean up the penalties and play a clean game... our game. If we do that, we should win.
-
24-19 cards at the half. Bay City to receive to start the third.
-
21-19 cards with 1:24 left.
-
Card penalties are killing their momentum. 19-14 cats with 2:27 left in the half. Bridge City ball at the cat 45.

Ding! Ding! Ding! Ding!

Of course.

Yeah.... If you subtract out the illegal aliens, errrrr.... "undocumented workers" that voted for Hillary, Trump wins by several million.

Bridge City vs Bay City 2nd Round

Coach Dubois already told KOGT that Draper was going to go. I'll be shocked if he's able to, but he's tough. -
Where did Fedora end up coaching this year? See what I'm saying?
-
No, sir.... I have it on good authority that after the debacle in Navasota, Fedora reached out to Silsbee about their opening, but they'd already hired Coach Smith. Maybe AAW can put this rumor to bed as "never happening" or confirm it by saying nothing.

I'm confident you're the only one.... lol. Good luck to the Eagles as well. -
Fedora to Smoketown?

That's what I thought, too. But Dubois said otherwise. [Hidden Content] If it's just a toe and you can take the pain, then..... I guess you go.
