  1. I swear that dude drives a wrecker for Guilbeaux's. I don't have to keep wondering what happened to Kevin's big brother on the original Home Alone. Eddie Munster wants his hair back. His double chin has a strong side AND a weak side.
  2. Are you predicting run plays vs. passing plays? Because that's not going to make a certain group of wide receivers very happy.
  3. And some good receivers are happy just blocking on the outside. What else can you do with a prima donna receiver in a run-oriented offense? O-line is gone, QB gone, and the coach keeps calling up runs? Could get kinda tense over there.
  4. Looks like a lot of that "Best Receiving Corp in Texas" better figure out how to play safety or db. Time to brush up on backpedaling.
  5. WOS and Brock in non-district? The Cards aren't skeered!
  6. The article was garbage. Didn't even mention us. For real, though.... it's good to see Silsbee getting some recognition and to be grouped in with that bunch. That's our goal. To be one of the programs that nobody wants to face. Nice work, Tigres.
  7. Fedora just drug up in Navasota.... Somebody shred this guy's contract!
  8. Do you still remember?
  9. I've had much more memorable posts than this one.
  10. Not gonna be Mackey, then.
  11. How is Mackey related to the McGallions?
  12. My math is so bad, you'd think I went to Silsbee.
  13. Silsbee was the best team in the nation, and WOS beat them, too.
  14. The last time I checked, WOS has 4 championships, BC has 1, and if you add up all of Silsbee's SCs, they have exactly zero. But you guys DID manage to go a few rounds last year. Congrats.
  15. Boy, you make it sound bad for yourselves. Sounds like y'all need to get used to early exits.
  16. Dubois little brother will be starting. He took all of the JV snaps and has been in the system for years. He brings more of a passing threat than the older brother did. Dearing will be missed. However, Dearing wasn't a All-World Baylor Commit like Silsbee lost. Our entire O-line is returning... and they were very underrated as a unit last season. Silsbee fan is more than willing to proclaim that their departed QB was the best in SETX.... losing him will hurt a lot more than losing big Dubois. Our horse running back is returning as a senior, and the rest of the backfield should be healthy this year. Silsbee's fast offense doesn't mean alot when their defense gave up points as fast as the offense could score them. Whichever team figures out how to play defense will be fighting Navasota for the DC. At least that's how I see it. But Huffman definitely needs to be in the conversation, and it's not impossible for LCM and/or Cleveland to get their act together and make some noise in the district.
  17. Yeah.... we came in third behind Silsbee and Jasper.
  18. Just being from Livingston is penalty enough.
  19. If they end up taking district, it won't be because the schedule helped them.... I think Silsbee, Huffman and BC will be their biggest tests this year, and they've got the Tigers and the Cards both as looooooooong distance road games. It's going to be a great year for tackle football!
  20. ....and they'll be leaving for BC right after 1st period ends.
  21. Just don't use a pen. Lol.
  22. They're normally very talented, but seem to fall short of great.... last year being an exception. All jokes aside, most of the time when other teams beat Silsbee, it's not because they had better athletes, but the opponents would do a better job of playing as a team, limiting mistakes, and avoiding ridiculous penalties....especially pointless personal fouls like the one in our game where our kid scored and then somebody from Silsbee then smoked him 5 yards into the endzone. First personal foul of many. No offense, but underperforming is more of a tradition at Silsbee than quality wins. It's flashes of greatness mixed in with way too much ridiculousness over there. I hope a new guy can straighten that out.
  23. I think it's a good coaching opportunity, and contrary to what the locals believe, a disciplinarian could make some great improvements over there. I'll be surprised if the replacement isn't a homer, though.
