  1. Not excited. Won’t move the needle at all.
  2. Meh… some judges go after trump and some give him a pass. It just proves that the judicial is biased, but biased towards who depends on the Judge. It’s no more surprising than the convictions in NY.
  3. I wish I knew more about Burgum(?), but I don’t even know his name for certain. Rubio would be my pick, but I really wonder if there’s something to the whole “not from the same state” argument. Haley would shake things up and make one heck of a splash.
  4. Isn’t Vance the guy who only shows his bottom teeth when he talks? I can’t trust a man like that not to bite me. edit: *no homo.
  5. Perhaps I misspoke. I meant someone who is just trying to be the next Trump. In Pence we got a guy whose attributes complemented Trump, not mimicked him. Do we need Trump 2.0 fighting with signposts as a VP?
  6. Drudge is reporting that Trump will announce his VP pick today. Any thoughts on who you'd like to see? I'd prefer Marco Rubio, but I think there's a real problem with residency-the both can't come from Florida, supposedly. I took it as good news that Nikki Haley will be going to the convention after all. It seems unlikely, too, but I'd be good with her ( I voted for her in the primary back in March). I just hope it's not some whackjob who brings nothing to the table but a good "yes sir, mister Trump! You're right again, sir!" I wonder if Vance lost his chance by blaming Biden directly for the attack on Trump in PA Saturday. Thoughts?
  7. I guess that’s the problem I have with Trump. We all love a fighter-it’s in our culture. Dude just doesn’t know how to turn it off. He fights with EVERYBODY, and at the end of the day it’s a net negative. Foreigners, the media, democrats, republicans, his own employees. He literally fights with everybody, and that makes him useless.
  8. Yeah… there were four skirts guarding the wagon on the way out. One was trying to get her shades back on, the other was doing her “Shakiest Gun in the West” routine trying to re-holster her sidearm, and they all looked…. Not scary at all. I think we should do better. If the shooter had any skill or proficiency, we’d be singing a different tune today.
  9. I loved it, though. That’s two episodes this election cycle that we’ll be talking about for decades. Iconic moment and some great photos-even if I can’t stand the guy. What’s bananas to me is that the debate didn’t move the needle on polling-I wonder if this will. We’re all so set on “our team.”
  10. Well, next time let’s nominate an even bigger loudmouth and I’m sure things will get better.
  11. But what if the shooter turns out to just be a lunatic of a gun nut? Nobody's "vitriolic hatred" caused it, in that case. And FWIW, that's kinda what it's starting to look like. It's not going to keep anybody on the right from blaming the left, though. And for what's it's worth, y'all didn't have a problem with "vitriolic hatred" when it came in the form of mean tweets. You (Smashmouth) have repeatedly defended Trump's rhetoric in the past... but you don't like it when the left does it back. Which group chants "FJB" at their rallies? Which group popularized "Let's Go Brandon?" Then to turn around and cry about "vitriolic hatred" from the left being the problem is just laughable. Trump disputed the results of the election, then tried to use every legal and illegal means that can be imagined to stop the peaceful transfer of power in 2020... up to and including attacking the capitol and branding the VP a traitor....but then y'all bristle when Trump is called "a threat to democracy?" The fact that no one on the right realizes that they've been at least an equal partner, if not the actual instigators of the escalation in "vitriolic hatred" is baffling, and shows how dumb "our" side can be.

  13. I agree, and I’m just pointing out the fact that blaming Dems, Soros, Biden, etc before the facts even come out (like the blowhards we’re doing here) only fans the flames of the fire that’s going to burn us all.
  14. My understanding is that she was a corporate hire, but had previously been in the secret service agency. At least that’s what the talking heads were saying. What did you think of the protection detail that hustled him to the limo?
  15. I’m just saying…. White kid, gun nut, registered Republican, wearing a 2A shirt at the time of the shooting. He wasn’t a leftie.
  16. One of my good buddies called today to discuss. Like a lot of y’all, he thinks Soros/Clinton/Obama/Burisma are behind the failed attempt. He was like “boy, can you imagine what would happen if somebody shot Biden? They’d be rioting in every major city last night.” I had to say “so? Y’all attacked the Capitol when you didn’t like the results of the 2020 election.” There aren’t any good guys left.
  17. You don’t register as anything in Texas. But you can’t vote in a runoff for one party if you voted in the primary of the other party-but that’s about it. What’s nutty is the way that everybody is seizing on the info that puts the other side in a bad light. “The shooter’s dad is a dirty liberal!” Oh, yeah? So why did he purchase an AR for his kid (the shooter)? None of us know for sure, but it sure is enlightening to hear y’all rushing to say he’s not one of y’all’s when there’s a lot of evidence pointing at the the possibility that he is, in fact, one of y’all’s. He was just disguised like one of y’all like them Antifas did on 1/6, right? The kid looks like he probably got hassled at school, and for about 3/10ths of a second, he was the most powerful person on the planet, capable of changing the course of the nation. It’s impressive.
  18. Meh… any trained sniper would have taken center mass. I don’t think God decided to spare Trump and take that bystander instead. The kid missed. And I’m grateful that he did.
  19. So what? She’s a best, no worse than most Trump worshipers?
  20. I leaned away from it being organized after watching the video. ANYBODY who planned this a) wouldn’t be using an AR platform and b) wouldn’t have missed. The story that I saw was that the shooter clambered up with his rifle, people were shouting, and he took his shot. He wasn’t chilling up there on the roof. It also looked like the SS sniper spotted him, rose up, then was surprised by how quickly the shooting began-he got back on his scope and plugged the shooter. I suspect that the shooter didn’t have time to set up his shot because he’d been spotted-and instead let loose a series of half-aimed shots. All of the evidence about this screams “untrained, poorly equipped, lone wolf.” To me, anyways.
  21. I haven’t seen anybody posting that they’re glad he got shot. It’s all made up in your mind… like election fraud.
  22. Great post…. I’ve thought about this a lot over time. My opinion? Hard times. Either caused by an economic collapse or a war. You can give up on the education system helping-all educators and administrators are required to attend a four year indoctrination in the way of an aptly named “liberal arts degree.” The left has done an incredible job of taking over the education of our kids and utilizing that to their advantage. If the situation gets so bad that people feel like their only hope is through God, we have a chance. Or if an event or series of events that make 9/11 seem insignificant by comparison. There’s nothing like a common enemy to unite us all as Americans. I just don’t know if we survive an onslaught.
  23. C’mon, man! It’s hilarious to watch the guys who told us to “toughen up! They’re just mean tweets” crying like little girls with skinned knees and begging the Dems to stop with rhetoric because it’s dangerous. Yall the snowflakes.
  24. I’m just laughing at everybody that is shocked. This is the next escalation in political violence. When you spend four years telling people that your vote doesn’t matter, and that political differences are “good vs evil,” claim that God is on your side, and your side alone, prosecute people on made-up charges, allege election fraud that never occurred, say “our democracy is over if that guy gets elected,” and on and on…. People are going to die. I’m just shocked that nobody said “wow… in America one party tried to overturn the election by force…. What’s next?” This. This is what’s next. And I’m eternally grateful that Trump wasn’t killed, or life as we know it would probably be changed forever. People that y’all know would die over “Ds vs Rs.” How stupid is that?
