Bridge City vs LCM Predictions
CardinalBacker replied to WALLYtheBEAR's topic in High School Football
Both are undefeated in district… someone’s “0” has got to go.” Cards come up big when it counts this weekend… that’s my prediction. -
I feel like I’d probably have to fight somebody if I made an appearance. I’ve written a lot of checks, lol.

I've been here for just over ten..... this time.

I know we’re a microcosm out here, but early voting was up about 30% in Hardin County… and I expect it to still go to Trump by 90% or so. I don’t know what to think about that, and I don’t know if it holds true across the nation. It might just be people opting to vote early, or it might be new voters. It’s going to be interesting to watch the totals. We’ll have lots of answers in less than two weeks.

There’s been record turnout in a lot of places. Makes me wonder what’s motivating the bigger turnouts, then it hit me. It’s people who voted by mail last time showing up to vote in person this time. I just can’t see having an army of new, motivated voters turning out to vote MAGA. I think it’s gonna be over early on Election Day.

Well, today was the first day of early voting in Texas and I cast my ballot. After much thought and consideration, I didn’t vote for anybody in the presidential race. I might have done differently if Texas were in play, but I just wanted to send a message-that MAGA has run its course and I (and likely other formerly dependable republicans) have had enough and won’t support this hateful nonsense any longer.

HH is the team to beat. They’ve still got to come all of the way to scenic Bridge City to historic Larry Ward Stadium and leave with a win, though. We’ll know more in a few weeks. -

No Homecoming distractions this week, decent rivalry. Give me the Cards over the Honey Bears. -

I think LCM and Huffman have to be considered favorites over the Cards… that said, Cards in a close one. -

Let’s go …… What is Tarkington’s mascot? -
I’m surprised, but wary of most polling. My opinion is still this- hate is a much more powerful motivator than love, and a lot of people HATE Trump. I expect turnout to favor her. But it’s going to be close.

How did that go?

I think she's going to burn him down in the popular vote. The swing states are going to tell the tale. It's bananas that Trump, instead of trying to just be chill and convince the middle that a Trump vote isn't risky, is actually going hard in the paint to motivate Trump voters to show up and vote. I think that Trump's team believes they need better participation from their voters as opposed to attracting new ones. We'll just have to see how it works out. I'm still trying to find the right Kamala pic for your profile pic, lol.

Did you mean “quiet?” I think that a lot of “BC is BACK” fans were surprised to see that the Cards had not actually been tested this year. I was glad to see that the boys faced adversity and persevered through it. We’ve still got a couple of tough district games before we begin our playoff run. But honestly, most of the chirping has been going both ways and they obviously don’t have a lot of fan support out in HJ… they were practically silent in the buildup, so there wasn’t a lot of crow to be served up. I expect another “quite” week this week as the Livingston Lyin’s will be coming to BC to get their whuppin’. BC fans will be back in full force for the 10/25 showdown with LiCk’eM. -

Well, the Hawks are a brave, brave team who also opted up an entire classification to compete against school much larger than they are. I have a lot of respect for the Hawks and had this game penciled in as our toughest one this week.
