  1. The problem is that you’re always leaving one guy unblocked. He just has to know where the ball is, lol. I like the slot T. I literally sent a pic to my kid from the game last night. “Check it out… a team in red with a nasty slot t up 4x to nothing on Silsbee” or something to that effect. We haven’t won a playoff game since we went away from the slot t, either. I’m just not dumb enough to think anybody has found the magic ticket for winning at TXHSFB because they’re running a decent slot T.
  2. Dude… I’m so glad that I’ve grown up. My man was on here earlier this week talking about his personal business and reaching out for hugs, then comes back this morning with all of that mess? The old me didn’t set limits on what I’d say, lol. He just don’t know.
  3. We might if we switch back to the slot t as predicted, lol. Can’t win it all with that offense, tho.
  4. I think Bellville gets it done fairly easily . Jasper has more defensive talent than Silsbee, but it won’t matter if Smith has to play both ways.
  5. I mean… welcome to the fourth round. Act like you’ve been here before.
  6. Lol… Pleasant Grove won a couple of years ago, but they also threw the ball…. Bellville can’t. Liberty Hill does well until they run into a decent defense. That’s the problem with being a one-trick pony. A decent coaching staff with some talent on defense will shut a slot t team down. That wasn’t Silsbee, and I don’t think Jasper can do it either. I love the slot t. It allows mediocre athletes to compete. It just has its limitations. To hear y’all talk, Aledo, Carthage, and North Shore will be switching to the slot t now that they’ve finally seen it’s potential via Bellville, lol.
  7. Lol… Silsbee’s defense has been questionable all year. To my knowledge, there’s not a single D1 caliber player on the Tiger defense. They didn’t get stops, but the important thing is that their offense never got off of the bus… the fact that Silsbee’s fans cheered when the backup qb went in should tell you all that you need to know. Silsbee got their butts kicked… they couldn’t stop the run and the offense was horrible… who cares? But the fact remains that somebody with a few studs on defense and a coaching staff will end the Brahmas’ charade. All you have to do is stop the run… Silsbee didn’t. But it can be done-it always gets done eventually. To pretend that suddenly Bellville reinvented the game is laughable. Make sure to drop back by when they lose, ok?
  8. First off, Silsbee didn’t stop the run… and I wasn’t sure that they were going to. What surprised me was how bad the Silsbee offense played. Feel free to think that the Bellville defense is impenetrable. Qb play was terrible, playcalling was abysmal, and the team pretty much just quit. I think Bellville wins next week against Jasper, but will run into a coaching staff that can stop the slot… Because… face it. If the slot was an effective, we’d be watching it on tv all day today and tomorrow. It’s a gimmick, it worked to a “T” last night, but it will get exposed for what it is in the very near future.
  9. Bellville had that slot t clicking tonight and Silsbee had no answers on D. What surprised me was how bad Silsbee’s offense looked. Most throws just weren’t catchable by the WRs. I don’t know if it was nerves, an injury, good defense, or a combo-but there were no traces of life from the offense. Playcalling was suspect, etc… I’m guessing somebody will stop that Bellville offense before they collect rings, but it was doing its thing tonight, for sure.
  10. Port Neches Groves.
  11. Trying to decide if we can make PNG’s 4p game in Sheldon, then slide up to Sprang for this one at 7:30. We’d have to pull out of PNG’s game early or just catch the last three quarters of Silsbee’s game.
  12. I hate to hear that…
  13. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.......
  14. You’re just mad that Jasper is rolling and nobody cares. Who are y’all playing this weekend? I can’t remember. Actually, I’m not sure I’ve even heard.
  15. We went three rounds with it in ‘16… until we ran into a team that could slow us down a little and could air it out.
  16. Let's be honest... the slot T was developed to give unathletic kids a chance to be competitive against another team with superior athletes. It actually works a lot of time, until a defense is able to slow down the T's running. We ALL agree that Bellville's defense is completely unprepared for Silsbee's offensive attack. The only question is whether Silsbee's defense can to do to Bellville what they've already done to Vidor.
  17. I got mine from Tractor Supply. PHD= Post Hole Digger
  18. He coached a team to the state championship game, then went to LiCk'eM where they celebrate coming in second in District to Lum. If that's not a fall from grace, I don't know what one looks like, I guess. He's Crouch 2.0....
  19. And to hell with all of y’all for forcing me to defend the tigers.
  20. Lol….. Silsbee practices with a 1000 yard rusher every afternoon (Kibbles) plus they had a heck of a back last year. Heck, Kibbles would be Bellville’s feature back if he went to school there. Silsbee has seen talented backs from WOS, Jasper, etc… they throttled a fairly decent slot T team in Vidor. I expect Bellville to play a better version of the T, but at the end of the day it’s just a matter of cramming the box, maintaining your assignments, and then on to the next one… The problem Bellville has is this…. All Silsbee has to do is focus on the run. If Silsbee stops the run, Silsbee wins. It Silsbee can’t stop the run, there’s still a pretty good chance that Silsbee wins. If Bellville can’t run, they’re done. Period. The biggest drawback to the offense Coach Rowe uses is this-and I say this from experience… it does NOTHING to prepare your defense to face teams who can successfully move the ball through the air. I expect Belleville’s defense to get exposed on Friday… but that’s just an opinion. Who knows? Maybe the defense will rise to the occasion under the lights on Friday the first time they’ve seen a championship level aerial attack. The game is Silsbee’s to lose.
  21. Why don’t you mind your business while you finish ruining peavey’s career by being so…..y’all.
  22. Okay, Genius. Which of your practice squad running backs is gonna line up at wideout against your first team secondary to mimic Silsbee’s WRs? Who from the practice squad (or first team offense for that matter) is gonna be airing it out this week to prepare your corners? Have you ever seen a turtle on its back? That’s what is going to happen to Bellville if Silsbee gets a single stop.
  23. I can see this one going kinda like 2016 when Silsbee played BC. Silsbee couldn't stop BC's slot T attack, but BC couldn't stop Silsbee's more balanced attack, either. Both teams hung about fifty and the game came down to a game-deciding field goal attempt as time expired. But it'll be a game where Silsbee just can't afford to commit penalties that keep drives alive for Bellville, and tSilsbee WILL get frustrated by the misdirection and cut blocks. Silsbee DID a decent job of handling Vidor's slot T attack, and while it's not on Bellville's level of execution, they've seen it in action. Bellville, however, hasn't faced an offense like Silsbee's, as far as I can tell, and there's nothing about practicing against a Slot T offense every day that will prepare a secondary like Bellville's for what's coming. The game will come down to penalties and coaching decisions down the stretch in my opinion... But I'm gonna say "Tigers" in this one.
