  1. Trump has enough die-hard followers that he'll roll right over Desantis in the primaries. I'm not sure that Biden makes it to the convention.
  2. You know, I normally have a hard time agreeing with Reagan, but it's kinda strange to me that the last two incidents (this one and the shooting up in Allen) were INSTANTLY tagged as the work of white supremacists, when it takes them a couple of weeks to decide if Abdul Mohammed Al-Sharif was a Muslim extremist after he blows up his truck bomb. "don't jump to any conclusions." Add to it that both of those "White Supremacists" turned out to not be....... WHITE?!!!! And you have the President publicly stating that white supremacy is the biggest terroristic threat in the USA last week. It all just kinda smells funny.
  3. Not mine, either... I just thought it was interesting that she suddenly feels a wee bit more patriotic after we got her out of the gulag.
  4. [Hidden Content] I don't care for her, but I heard about this and then read about it.
  5. I had a professor in college that referred to them as "The Great Unwashed."
  6. You're not wrong, though... You can pretty much tell if a person has an American flag in their yard, they're probably a Republican. And if a "Republican" is a die hard Trump fan, they MIGHT have a high school education and are middle income at best. Probably one of their first times to register and vote, also. I'm not wealthy, but I'm doing okay... Most of my friends are conservatives, of course, but they run the gamut from blue collar day workers to multi-millionaire business owners. The wealthy ones held their nose and voted for Trump, and quite often they couldn't even get their wives to vote Trump because "he's just a pig." These are dudes whose fortune would be negatively affected by Biden winning, but their wives didn't care... they crossed over and voted Biden or just abstained. (That means that they didn't vote at all, for those of you sounding the words out). I've got a good friend the other day telling me about how bad of shape we're in because of Biden, and how much better things are/would be if Trump were the President. He literally said how things are "worse today than they were back in the day when that one guy, I can't remember his name, you know, the one between Carter and Reagan was the President. I can't remember his name." I just agreed so he didn't hurt himself. But there are a LOT of guys like him...
  7. [Hidden Content] This guy, for instance. Once the white supremacist (who are typically Republican) say “no,” then the guys who want somebody who picks fights with everybody say “no,” this guy won’t even have a chance. Want to grab the middle? Find a guy like this. Prolly a “rino,” to y’all, though.
  8. Were you alive in 1992? Perot was Trump before Trump was Trump. He basically split the R vote and gave Slick Willie a easy path into the White House. You can look back at Perot versus the Repulicans (Bush One)... Advantage Democrats Tea Party vs. "Rinos".... Advantage Democrats MAGA versus the Republicans.... Advantage Democrats You're not going to "convince" Democrats to jump ship for an extreme candidate. Right this minute DeSantis is fighting with Mickey Mouse. Like.... he's picking a fight with the "Happiest Place on Earth." The one that most people have either been to, or hope to one day go... and DeSantis is throwing down his gloves and asking the populace to take a side. You can bury your head in the sand and say "But Ron DeSantis is RIGHT! And that's all that matters!!!!" And he'll be right up until he gives his concession speech, either in the primaries or in the General. Being "Right" doesn't mean anything when you're not in power.
  9. You were right on point up until this. That's the thing that you don't hear democrats doing. Bernie's peeps got right in there behind Hillary, then Biden. Rs always find a way to leave their guy hanging.
  10. This article is saying what I’ve been saying for a year or two now. [Hidden Content] Hate the source if you want, but it’s pretty hard to deny that any of it is patently false.
  11. Silsbee’s defense wasn’t THAT good, ever. They’ll be decent and the offense will be tough. So many of those kids have playoff experience, etc. Experience against good teams in the playoffs is a huge help. It’s what fueled so much of WOS’s success 10 years ago
  12. No, I’m confident that “collusion” happens all of the time… whether it’s Russians meddling in ours or the US meddling in others. I haven’t forgotten “tell Vladimir I’ll have more flexibility after the election.”
  13. Silsbee is my odds-on favorite to win the DC, with Jasper taking second. I’d see WOS in third with a pick ‘em for fourth… HF’s QB graduated is why I’ve got WOS in front of HF. The scary part is that just little further decline would put WOS in that pick ‘em fourth slot and all it would take is a dark horse year from BC, HJ or Liberty and the mustangs are in the stable for the playoffs. Silsbee is gonna be beastly this year. And I hate saying that.
  14. No home-o.
  15. I thought he fat-fingered BC.
  16. Senator Cucumber? I don’t understand. Is that what some right-wing talk show host Nick named him? Or is that what your Messiah (Trump) says to call him? I’ve got to admit… Trump seems like he’s lost his touch on the nicknames as of late. I just know that “Senator Cucumber” beat the brakes off of Trump’s anointed candidate “Dr Oz.” That guy should probably go into hiding if he lost to “Senator Cucumber.” Kinda like Trump SHOULD have been too ashamed to stick his head back up after getting “turned out” as they say in prison by Biden/Harris.
  17. Russian Collusion was a lie... just like Whitewater, the Clinton Foundation, Hunter's Laptop, The Big Guy, Iran Contra, the Teapot Dome, Watergate, Obama was born in Africa, George Bush was a cokehead, Michelle Obama was a woman, election fraud in 2020, Voter Suppression in any federal election, and any other mud slung by one group at the other. I'm not surprised.
  18. No offense, but I remember when LaMarque was a powerhouse. Heck, even Burkeville and BC have state championships and both are about a million miles away from being decent for the last few years. Crazy things happen. You lose the coaching, the culture, the winning, and then the athletes.... then it's over. If you ask me, WOS basically lost the first three last year. I guess the only question is whether or not it was a fluke, and whether or not kids and their parents decide to bail if the ship isn't righted this year. I'm not wishing bad luck on our neighbors, but to pretend that it can't happen because of 112% or whatever is really just ignoring what can obviously happen.
  19. This year will tell the tale as far as the Mustangs are concerned, IMO. I’d like to see them turn things around, but this is the first time in ages that I wouldn’t consider them the front runner for a DC. 1. They could adapt to the new schemes and start having more success. 2. Or, CT’s influence on the program could be even less than last year as time has marched on, leaving a worse on-field product than we saw last year. I think a better question is…. What happens first? WOS wins a DC or WOS misses the playoffs? It really feels like either one is possible at this point.
  20. But you're still all about the guy said "grab 'em by the p-word," said Megyn Kelly was probably menstruating when she asked him tough questions, insulted Ted Cruz's wife, cheated on his wife with a porn star, and recently lost a civil case over one of many (unproven) sexual assault allegations. I think that's a little bit worse than getting a little sloppy-toppy from a slightly overweight yet remarkably average looking intern. At least JFK was bagging dimes. [Hidden Content] Your guy is a piece of crap and you can't even admit it.
  21. Like I said... you wholeheartedly believe anything that's written about Hunter Biden regardless of evidence, proof, etc.... Just because somebody said it, it has to be true, right? I mean, some guy with a computer repair shop says it, and that's as good as gospel, right? Let's have an investigation. But then you turn around and say "how dare they investigate Trump!" I'll be honest... i have a hard time differentiating between Trump/Rudy's "quid pro quo" with Ukraine and the allegations that are being made about Hunter Biden/the Big Guy. Other than the fact that Biden is accused of doing it earlier than Trump is accused of doing it. Kenneth Starr went after the Clintons for years and got nothing. All of this talk about the Clinton Foundation yielded nothing. To date the Hunter Biden investigation yielded nothing. Russian Collusion yielded nothing. About the only thing that I can see gaining any real traction is Trump's voter issues in Georgia.... They have him on tape telling the AG to "find" the exact number of votes that he needed to win GA (but still lose the election, btw). That's actual evidence, not hearsay, wild speculation, tall tale, half truth, or absolute lie. They have the actual call recorded.
  22. I've said before also... if it's seized as a result of a crime (used to transport, purchased with drug funds, etc) then it should be seized. But just because some cop pulls you over and thinks "hey, they shouldn't just be carrying that wad of cash.... let's just take it" is wrong, IMO. But the police officer in you says "yeah, where there's smoke, there's fire. If they can prove it's not illegally gained, then maybe they can win it back. They just need to go to court." It's not up to a police officer to decide what I should and shouldn't have on my person when it isn't illegal to possess in the first place. There is no risk at all for law enforcement when seizing property... so why wouldn't they try it? I repeat... what's reasonable to a police officer isn't reasonable to the rest of us, sometimes. By your logic, some beat cop from Las Vegas would be well within his legal authority to seize Mayweather's backpack because there's no reason that he should be carrying that kind of cash.
  23. [Hidden Content] I remember this one, too. I can remember back YEARS ago when Sulphur PD got in trouble for basically stopping and searching cars with Texas plates at night purely to confiscate their gambling winnings…
  24. It seems you’re not objective. If I choose to ride around with 42k in my vehicle, I’m not very smart… but that’s no reason that the state should be able to take my funds “just because.” There should be no proving of anything by a citizen… the burden of proof should lie solely upon the state. And you can say, “oh, it’s up to the DA” and “they’ll get their day in court,” but at the end of the day the police agency will end up with the seized funds, so y’all really, really don’t seem to mind to badly if a few people lose their big piles of cash, even if it only turns out to be for 4 years or so. You know, “temporarily.” Here’s another question. Does the police/DA actually hang onto those exact bills, or is the money entered into the registry of the court and deposited into an interest bearing account?
