  1. I didn’t vote for him in the 2016 primary, but I voted for him in the 2016 and 2020 general. I won’t vote for him again, period. He’s just bad for America. Mark it down… my prediction remains that the eventual Dem nominee will win big now that Trump has announced his candidacy for 2024.
  2. I think the WOS community has greatly underestimated the effect that Hall of Fame Coaching has had over there… not just in terms of Xs and Os, but also in regards to player development. That steady pipeline of D1 athletes just dried up without a HOF coach to develop them. You can’t just replace that with some dude that went to school at WOS. The truth is that there isn’t anybody out there that can replicate the past. If Toby was the answer, he’d be stacking up trophies where he is. He’s not, and he won’t if he comes back to Orange, either. There are only a handful of coaches capable of doing what’s been done in WOS, and none of them are interested in a potential opening at WOS. Sorry boys, it’s over.
  3. 1. Call him a racist. 2. Start a petition. 3. Enjoy the fruits of your labor.
  4. I remember back in 1999 when the West Canaan Coyotes coach was pushed out and the team moved on to win a championship without a head coach. An injured qb took over playcalling duties and the team won a championship. Who says lightning can’t strike twice?
  5. They can do it, but they'll need to play a complete game. Gotta stay healthy, too.
  6. Step one should be to re-re-rename the stadium.
  7. It's ugly. I've got y'all ito make the fourth round, btw. I don't think that y'all win it all, though. Unless Jasper and HF are state championship caliber, too, lol.
  8. I think coaches just assume that there's an army of kids who grew up wanting to be qb1 because that's how it is in a lot places. Here those kids and their dads all want to be the ace on the Cardinals baseball team.
  9. He had a couple of good years initially with a pretty good QB in Dishon. It fell apart after that and he didn't adapt. He was also unwilling to work with the youth football league in regards to giving them any type of direction with the system. By his last year a sophomore qb went down and we were left with a middle lb under center. His record was: 4-4 7-4 7-4 8-3 2-8 2-8 1-5 in district his last two years.
  10. Trump supporters love him because he's the jerk that they don't have the balls to be in real life.....then they cry that he's a "scapegoat" when the consequences of his actions come around to bite him in the butt. And for what it's worth, Trump is the biggest face-spitter that our country has ever seen. It's so comical that you believe that he "can't be bought" when literally everything he has is for sale for the right price. Want some nuclear codes? Pay me. Need a place to house my secret service agents? Pay me. You're right... he's not for sale. He's all about Trump, and does it by tricking people into believing that he's America First, Pro-Life, Christian, etc.... And his fanboys just keep lapping it up.
  11. You're not gonna beat Silsbee, WOS, and Jasper with a re-treaded shortstop. The spread doesn't work when there isn't a passing threat. They just load the box and stuff the run. Ask me how I know? Because I've seen it over and over. Heck, it happened all year this year. I'm not saying that it can't be successful. I'm saying that it won't be successful here because we don't develop qbs. If we had a stud qb transfer, he wouldn't even have a backup that could move the ball. So what do we do? Hope the coach will get with the youth football guys, convince them to make sure that the best qb prospects start attending camps and getting private coaches so that they'll be the guy that we need in 4-6 years from now? C'mon. I guarantee you that the second string qb on PNG's JV team is better than anybody we suited up to go under center this year. I'm of the opinion that the coach kinda believed that BC is similar to the place he came from... it's not.
  12. Are you talking about the ones that vote D or the ones that vote Trump? Because there's really not a difference. A vote cast for an opponent that can't win is a wasted vote. I think that I'm just saying what a lot of people think... and it sounds like a lot of people who have been Trump since day one might be coming around on the idea. The buffoonery just got old. He's literally that guy from high school that was kinda funny and always had a nickname for people that stuck.... and then we all got extra homework because of him.
  13. If you want to beat the teams in our District? Yes. You'd better have a gunslinger. We don't. Haven't. Won't in the foreseeable future. So where does that leave us? With four or five WRs who can't catch and QB who can't throw. And a defense that's never lines up against a good offense until Friday nights. Sounds like a good recipe to me.
  14. I'm just ready for the fireworks that would come with a first round spanking of the Mustangs. It's going to be the highlight of my weekend if it happens. Feel bad for the Mustang Seniors, though. This whole thing has been a downer.
  15. None. Because you don't even realize what happened. Traditionally the Party (and more importantly the "figurehead" of the party" don't endorse any candidates during the primary process... that's where the parties are deciding who their candidate will be in the general election against the "other" party. Trump made it a point to endorse politicians in the PRIMARY process, and all you had to do was deny the election results and pledge your honor to his Trumpness and in return he'd get his red-hatted fools to vote for you. It worked out all over the place. Trump's hand-picked candidates secured the nomination of the Republican Party, but then performed poorly in the general election.
  16. Bingo. I don’t know which are worse…the people who would vote D because they don’t like him, or his supporters who can’t see the influence he has on other voters.
  17. The Republican Party is, like it or not, the Trump Party to the general public and a lot of people love him…. But even more people hate him. Don’t get me wrong, any reasonable person would look around and vote for change… but people have biases and prejudices and unfortunately, they come into play when people vote. It’s an intangible thing, but it’s real. I think that the damage that’s been done over the last six years to conservatism and the Republican brand will take years to overcome. If you stood around in 2020 and said “I don’t see how this happened” and are standing around today saying “i don’t see how this happened”…. guess what? It’s not that everybody else is just stupid. If you’ve been dumbfounded twice in a row, you might be the one who’s missing something obvious. The abortion argument didn’t win this election cycle. The bad economy/inflation didn’t cost the Dems this cycle. The Rs have a perception problem and it’s costing them bigly. At a certain point the Rs are going to have to look in the mirror and ask “how can we keep being the right answer, but still losing? What are we doing to keep costing ourselves elections that we should be winning on paper?” The Democrats should deservedly be getting smashed everywhere for their performance. But they’re not. Long story made short, voters don’t like us. My feeling is that we’ve laid down with a guy who went out of his way to be unlikable and it’s all just working against us now. We are the party of the red-hatted, hateful, mean-spirited bullies who assaulted the Capitol. It’s not hard to see when you look at the big picture. I’ll repeat… 2024 will be a bloodbath for Rs if Trump even announces again. If your instinct is to say “Trump wasn’t even on the ballot! That’s just your TDS talking” you’re probably not capable of a big picture conversation.
  18. And this is the danger of the big lie that Trump and his cronies spread after he got his cheeks clapped in 2020. Now if you don't like the results of an election, it had to be cheating, right? If your guys wins, it was all straight up, though, I guess. Anybody that doesn't see that unfounded allegations about cheating are just as destructive to democracy as actual cheating is a moron. ANYBODY that still claims that the 2020 election was stolen is a fool. I'm not sorry if that hurts the feelings of fools. Y'all are too stupid to realize that the only reason candidates are still parroting that garbage in 2022 is to wrap of the votes of the fools like y'all. Kinda like when they claim to be opposed to abortion while paying for their own mistresses and daughters to get abortions. Don't be a sheep. Nevermind... sheep don't understand logic or reason. They just do as they're told. Go back to your sources and figure out what your supposed to believe today. They've always taken days to count provisional and mail-in ballots. In Texas they literally hand them from the County Clerk who administers the elections back to the voter registrar (typically the tax assessor) for verification and totals won't be known for a couple of days. Now it's proof of cheating (but only if your guy loses).
