  1. You are so wrong that it's not even funny. What percentage of people actually buy an individual policy? Don't worry, I'll do you're legwork for you. It's less than 10%. But if that's what you want to base your opinion on, so be it. Because they wanted to take on only the customers that would allow them to make the highest profits. The government (rightfully) said that you're gonna have to take the good with the bad... kinda like car insurance companies have to do with bad drivers.
  2. That’s the whole purpose of insurance, Genius!!!! The risks of the few are borne by the many. It’s the same reason that 22 year olds who never see a doctor pay the same amount as old geezers who have 3-5 Dr visits a month. I hope you were kidding and not just wrong.
  3. Or, if you have a pre-existing condition like cancer and lose your job... with it's insurance coverage. You might get insurance through your new job but they would exclude coverage for your cancer treatment because it was a "pre-existing condition." People who never switched job or who arer on Medicare shouldn't have an opinion on the matter.
  4. You’re off of work way longer for maternity leave than for an abortion. Abortion clinics passing out doctor’s notes to get back to work, lol.
  5. They got rid of pre-existing condition exclusions that existed with health insurance companies before the Affordable Care Act.
  6. No, this ruling gave them something else to be upset about besides gas prices. The problem is this. You lack the ability to see anyone’s point of view but your own and dismiss them as inferior because they don’t match yours. Newsflash… there are two sides to every argument and both are usually right on some levels. There are a lot of dudes in here with some really strong convictions that fail to understand what the other half believes. There’s an old saying that goes “everybody is against abortion until it’s their daughter that’s in trouble. Those friends who aren’t saying a lot right now? They see both sides of the coin and it’s only ignorance that allows a person to speak so strongly without recognizing the other sides’ views.
  7. I’m gonna go out on my own limb here and state that i believe that Roe v Wade wouldn’t have been overturned this week if we hadn’t watched liberal enclaves gleefully voting to allow full term abortions (up to the instant before birth) in direct opposition to roe’s second trimester limitations. The response was conservative states creating laws that throttled abortion “rights” and ended up getting Roe overturned. Id also like to point out to the people hooting and hollering in joy today that you can expect to see an effort to pack the Supreme Court as a response, but more importantly, the insane momentum that conservatives had going into 2022 (and 2024) is gone… finished. Liberals were left with nothing to fight about with trump out of the picture and Biden falling on his face. Well, now they’ve got a reason to get out and vote… against the conservative “oppressors.” This win is gonna be costly.
  8. And the left hates them…. That wasn’t the case a couple of years ago when the SCOTUS was giving the green light for gay marriages, lol. They LOVED that activist court, huh?
  9. How did telling them "you're not slaves any more because of Republicans" work out for us?
  10. Feel free to chime in with how much more you expect to pay in taxes as a result of this ruling. You know, expanded welfare payments, housing for criminals, healthcare for indigents, even the expansion of state schools... you know, the places where they used to keep the genetical anomalies that required full time care... people don't talk about it, but a lot of those pregnancies were ended in the last 50 years... we're signing up for a lifetime of care for those individuals. So... a thousand dollars per year per family? Maybe just $500. Who knows... but all of you cheering are actually applauding an explosion of spending that will undoubtedly be used to support these unwanted kids until they're old enough to vote Democrat. But I guess that makes you the winner.
  11. ACTUALLY, Texas has a "trigger law" in place that goes into effect in 30 days that will outlaw practically all abortions from the moment of fertilization. Sounds like it could possibly apply to Plan B since it effectively terminates the pregnancy after fertilization, but that's just a projection from me... I haven't read the thing. [Hidden Content]
  12. Yes... that's the intended recipient of all of the shade I'm throwing. They could very well turn out to be a top ten team, who knows? I just don't see a reason to rank them so highly now. There were literally 63 other teams with playoffs equally I think WOS's ranking might be higher than they will actually end up placing based on the changes in the program, but at least they earned theirs, so to speak.
  13. I didn't say that, lol. I felt kinda the same way when we were ranked fairly high at the start of the 2017 season... it was based on our 2016 record and a bunch those kids were gone. It felt like our ranking was too high, but it was understandable because it was at least based on a record. Silsbee's 2022 ranking is just puzzling. I mean, imagine if for some unknown reason Texas Tech was ranked in the NCAA top ten this preseason. Huh? Based on what? A good receiver prospect?
  14. Of course... but it's kinda junky to say "here are our rankings, based on zero evidence/performance.... it's a guess, honestly." I can even understand teams ending up with a higher ranking than they deserve for this year based on performances last year by kids who have graduated. But at least there's a little bit of credibility there, even if it's only by inference or association. But to say, "yeah, the last time we saw this team they were literally getting shelled by a kinda crappy team that lost the next week. But that makes them a nine in my book" means the rankings are just a popularity contest and mean nothing.
  15. I think that abortion "just because" is immoral. I can't imagine the thought process that occurs when someone is a victim of rape, incest, etc... But how does this apply to women who are experiencing an ectopic pregnancy where the Mom's life (or at least her future reproductive health) is at risk? I hope that those issues are addressed tastefully in state legislatures in the coming future. It's going to be interesting to see what happens in different states.
  16. I'm glad that this has happened... but I have to admit that I didn't think it would happen. I called this one wrong and I think it was TVC who analyzed it correctly. Now we all need to get ready for higher taxes and higher crime... there's gonna be a whole lot more unwanted babies for us to support before they enter the penal system. You can't legislate morality.
  17. How is he the right choice if he can't even get elected? I think what you meant to say is that he would have made a better president. If we all know that people "don't vote based on results, it's whether they like someone," then why would he go so out of the way to be so unlikable, but argue then he (and his fans) argue "it doesn't matter if he's likable... it's his record that matters?" You already knew the rules of the game but you played it your own way and then can't seem to grasp the fact that you lost... To sit back after that loss and yell "but the rules are stupid" doesn't change the fact that you lost by ignoring the rules. "y'all are a bunch of idiots for voting based on personal preference!" No, it's like if you're in school and there's this one really smart kid who wants to be the class president, and he'd probably make a pretty good class president... except he goes out of his way to irritate, aggravate, and otherwise infuriate all of his classmates. As expected, he loses badly because nobody likes him, but he's still arguing that he would have made a better class president and anybody who couldn't see that must be stupid. Except he went out of his way to make people NOT vote for him.
  18. How good was Trump if he couldn't even beat this clown?
  19. Not just to be a hater, but how does a team that lost in the first round last year to a team that lost in the second round find themselves ranked at #9? Just predictions more than rankings, I guess.
  20. What about the fools who voted for a guy who lost to this guy?
  21. I hope I'm still able to pedal one around at 79.
  22. Good or bad, all eyes will be on the Mustangs (and their staff) this season, that's for sure.
  23. This may come as a shocker, but a rational person on either side of the political spectrum can easily see that both the BLM riots and the attempted coup were both wrong. Only idiots are okay with one but not the other.
  24. ACTUALLY, they asked Republicans to participate... they didn't want to be faced with the truth. Except for Liz Cheney, of course.
