LOL.... Horndawg, I couldn't give you an answer until I saw that the Horns took the series. ;D Seriously, I'm with RIP09...gotta go w/ my boy Hales on this one. Ross was "dealing" from start to finish. An oustanding and dominating performance. To quote Garrido, " There was some brilliance going on out there". Great kid, great family, excellent pitcher. I'm starting to smell some post season recognition for Hales. I left him a voicemail message about two seconds after the last out.....had to "rag on him" a little...come on anybody but my Horns. ;D To sum up my thoughts....one time only because of this special event...here goes.............GIG 'EM ! .....that was painful. ;D I bet that was almost as painful as kissing your sister lol. Heck of a series. The game at Olsen Friday had to be one of the best baseball games I've ever been to. The horns would jump ahead then we'd find an answer. Of course I'm sure it's difficult when there are 8700 minus a few horns there that were all yelling "AUSTIN" (Woods) from the time he gets toes the rubber until he is in the dugout. If you ever have the opportunity to make one of these games/series, I'd say take it, best atmosphere around. Hales is something else...I don't feel so bad about losing to him in the first game of playoffs my senior year to him anymore. Though I will say he did pipe one my first ab against him and I drove it to the wall ;D

It's about 60 miles northwest of College Station. So it would be about a 2 hour drive for them and close to the same for BC.

I'm hoping Huntsville so I can make the hour trip to watch 21-3A in action against another district.

And the lack of respect that will come with it. : I'd advise you to read the previous pages before you take shots at me...This is not "my" win, I graduated a few years ago. If you go back and read, I've been wanting them to finish the game, thanks. Then, when you finish reading that, you can go back and read what I said about people taking shots at others, and how if you dish it, you better be able to receive it because I'll send shots back at you. Just go do a little reading, catch up on what you've missed and then see if your opinion changes about what I've typed.

From the District 21-3A baseball manual..."Section 5, Rule J. In the event of a suspended (game that has gone past 4 1/2 or 5 innings) or incomplete (less than 4 1/2 or 5 innings) game, the game will resume at the point the suspension occurred." Not muich room for misinterpretation as far as I'm concerned... This here speaks volumes.

The game is official after 4 1/2 if the home team is leading. From what I was told the rule was misinterpreted last week and this game is most likely finished. Okay, so by that token the Silsbee/OF game should have been called and Silsbee should have won. Wouldn't that mean that OF should be having a play-in game with someone this upcoming week? I can see if the rule was misinterpreted, however, in the spirit of fairness it should be handled the way it was originally interpreted to preserve the integrity of the district race. I truly believe this one of those examples where adults try to insert themselves into a situation that has nothing to do with them when the only thing the kids want to do is play ball. With all due respect, this is varsity baseball, not little league.

Here Gabe, I'll post this in hopes that the mods will stop attacking my negative karma...

Take Hwy 73 past Groves,Port Arthur,Port Acres. On 73, you'll see LaBelle Road, Boondocks Road...Keep going because you're in Fannett when you pass these roads. You will want to take a right off of Hwy 73 onto Englin Road...You will now be in Hamshire. Englin Road will take you to Hwy 124, take a right on Hwy 124. Drive until you see yellow caution lights (the only ones in town) and the Longhorn convenient store on the left, and take a left here. You will now be on Hamshire road. Follow this road past the big curve at the end and keep going and this will bring you right to the field which you will see on the left about a quarter mile after the curve. Hope this helps.
