Well, seeing that I graduated from HF and was a Longhorn "Horns", and my dad went to Nederland and was a Bulldog, now often seen as "dawgs",put the two together. It was never intended to be an inuendo, but I can understand since that's the way people think these days (that everything has to be perverted) thats why you thought what you did. Plus he was the one that started this profile, I have just taken it over. I didn't say that you were uneducated, I just expected an educated answer and I got the childish answer, that's all that was about.

Maybe they are better but I don't believe they are better than HF by a blowout, I want them to prove me wrong before I'll accept this notion.

Texas A&M played a two game series with McNeese State yesterday and today. I didn't have a chance to make it yesterday, but was in attendance this afternoon. Large number of SETX players on the field today: Clayton Ehlert, Ryan Brauninger, Ryan Frantz (yest), Shon Landry, and others on the roster but not on the field included Darrell Stevens. Just thought it was a pretty cool feeling to know that I had played against all those guys in high school and they were back on the same field again.

Their top 2 starters from last year are gone and there are big questions about replacing them. They do have lots of expirence back in the line-up, so a run to a regional is pretty promising, however splitting with Northern Colorado to start the season is not what most people expected. I bet they lay it on McNeese tonight. i know, i was at the games this past weekend, and i agree splitting with UNC isnt very good but i still believe they'll come around and will be playing about the same time they did last year...hopefully longer

Considering BC has played 3 games this year, that would mean he achieved most of those 200 wins in 7 years. That gives him an average of over 28 wins each season. Must be doing something a little right. Congrats Coach Bryant. BC looking for another 28++ again this year. not to take anything away from him but he doesnt have to do too much but put guys on the field, BC is a hotbed for talent, its more athleticism than it is coaching, IMO.

Thank you OldTimer, finally a post I can work with. I understand the competitiveness in other sports, but what I didn't understand is the girls sports, that will not help them in baseball.

Yeah horns4, i believe ya'll will do fine this year, that was probably someones daddy who thought his son should have made varsity but didnt. Plus, you have Coach Landry so i wouldnt worry about it at all, he's one of the best coaches around.

How many years are you talking? Last year maybe, but I hope you are not saying that the 06 team was a bunch of individuals running the team. If you think they were, you need to do some research, or better yet I'll tell you, that team went 21-7, made playoffs, and was ranked 5th in state at one point. So dont you dare tell me that there was no team unity in that or that the coaching staff didnt help. I was on that team as a matter of fact and Coach Landry knows the game better than anyone I know. He was the one that brought us together as a team that year. So i seriously recommend you reconsider your thoughts about that comment, and next time think before you post. As far as this year, give it time, they'll gel. plus, in hfs line of pitchers, i only saw four names, i know of at least one maybe two more that i didnt see in that list that i expected.
