  1. I have no ball or quarrel in this game. Good job LCM!
  2. Tied with Katy and Stephenville for their longest winning streaks ever.
  3. WO-S does still hold a winning record against WB. Not that they would beat them this year but just sayin’. WB has a LOT of improvement to do to beat the Woodlands with the 70 points scored on them last year. I know you can’t compare well between two years but the staff and some players are the same so there is overlap.
  4. Look it’s Danny! Hey WOS87 here. The WOS score is listed as 26-23 on that first link when it was 23-20 if you have any control over that.
  5. Silsbee takes this easily sorry
  6. After last night I think Cuero is the only one that has a chance.
  7. I predict we get our first shutout this year.
  8. If we win the next 5, which we should, we’ll be #10 all-time, Argyle is already talking smack we matched their 31 streak. Cuero is also... but they had a 44 game streak from 73-75. If we win next week we tie Stephenville and Katy for their longest streaks. The bigwigs are going down.
  9. Kinda funny listening to the Geronimo Navarro guys tell Kennedale I told you so. Now WOS doesn’t need to get cocky and think they can breeze through because that’s how upsets happen although I predict no contest until the semifinals.
  10. I wouldn’t say it means nothing. We have the same coaching staff and some of the same players as do they. There is an overlap between years that should be taken into account. Either they will run it and overpower us or trick us. If they can’t do one of those things well enough they will lose.
  11. We also had a 38-0 lead last year and took the foot off of the pedal so that final score is misleading.
  12. Might as well get this started now. Kennedale is a Top 5 ranked 4A D1 team in every poll and has blown out all of their opponents so far. They still run the Wing-T and it is a good matchup for WO-S. WO-S lead 38-0 last year and won 45-21 so that score is a little misleading. They made it to the Semis last year and are perched to make a title run in 4A D1 with Argyle and Carthage being the biggest threats. This will be the game of the week in 4A for sure Let the comments begin.
  13. Next week will tell the tale for WO-S. Everyone in the state will be watching that game.
  14. WOS is in one of those in-between periods where we don’t really have a true rivalry game (locally anyway) to get both teams riled up. Back in the ‘80s it was West Brook and TJ. Jasper was a real rivalry until they started refusing to play us. Only being around for 40 years makes it difficult. LCM, BC, Orangefield should be but the three of them have 2 wins against us combined all-time (both being LCM 20 years ago+) so is it a rivalry when it’s that one-sided?
  15. Madisonville is 4-0 and the only team close to WO-S in every power ranking. Shepherd, Hardin-Jefferson, Salado and Smithville are the only other undefeated teams in the region. [Hidden Content]
  16. Giddings, Bellville, Liberty... all with losses tonight. Region 3 is looking pretty desolate at the moment. Will Hardin-Jefferson and Madisonville become the new favorites to challenge WO-S?
  17. It was 49-6 at half when I left. We took a knee in their red zone as time ran out or it would be 56-6
  18. I’m not saying it won’t be the same as last year but KIPP has pretty much everyone returning and they beat a weak Galveston O’Connell 56-0 in their only game so far this year. I’ve been looking up streaks and from my count the last WOS loss at home was to Friendswood in 2011 which gives them a 27 game winning streak at home. I’m not counting neutral games in other stadiums like Kennedale @ Nac or Giddings @ Moorehead. Going for #28 at home and #29 overall in a row tomorrow. Gilmer is at 29 in a row at home. Good luck Carthage tomorrow! >;-)
  19. WO-S just took the #1 current spot in the state with 28 in a row after Bremond lost tonight snapping a 49 game run. I believe this is the first time since Hull-Daisetta set a national record back in the 1930's that a local team has held that spot. Aledo, Gunter and DeSoto are tied behind us at 19 wins. Plano kept WO-S out of #1 during the streak from 1986-1988.
  20. 0-25 will become 0-26 I'm predicting (in the all-time series)
  21. This isn't DCTF. Completely different site which Chris Lyke and I used to run 13 years ago... and I disagree with quite a few of their choices.
