KSAGRL:Yes I do think they are better because of their dads or someone else that helped them at a young age....I think coach Griff is a great coach, but I have never thought of Bryant as a good one.. How many LCM (or PNG, Nederland) vs Bridge City players have advanced past college ball...The dads teach them baseball it is the High School coaches job to "Fine Tune" them if they want to continue playing ball....If you know any of the BC players from the 2006 or 2007 teams, ask them if their High School coach was the reason they went as deep in the playoffs as they did....I bet 3 out of 4 will tell you no !!!!

Amen bro...I was begining to think I was the only one who could see this...I just don't understand some of these posters that don't believe this...To me it is very obvious...How many "hundreds" of dads know as much (or more) about baseball than some of these High School coaches??? I wouldn't want to take a $60,000 a year cut in my pay to coach High School ball....

I did not say " all " I said most..... Do you think Billy Bryant taught Dishon the fundamentals of baseball or do you think he learned that before he got to High School??

Stang4life--- I feel like you were dogging out the Little League programs and the Dads and Grandads that spend their time trying to " Teach " these youngsters how to play baseball...I can't believe that people do not see that this is where great ball players come from...Look at the teams that are sucsessfull year in and year out ...PNG , Nederland , Bridge City , LCM....What do all these Schools have in common??? Great Little League programs...When they get to High School they know how to play ball, because their dad or someone else spent countless hours teaching them the Game of Baseball...I'd be willing to bet, most "above average" players at the High School level spent more time in their lives (and learned more) being coached by their Dads than by their High School coach....

Such a shame how they decide to lock a thread or delete a reply..They have actually edited my reply before...I would rather them delete it than edit it, that way at least they are not completly changing the point I am trying to make...

I know you people don't really believe that 1 person from the school board would have the power to get a coach fired....Especially Coach "Billy Bryant" who you guys make sound like the greatest coach to ever set foot on a baseball field...You guys need to wake up , the guy obviously did something wrong..We will soon find out the true reason and I hope you all have enough guts to stand up and apologize to the people that you are blaming..(Although I know it won't happen )

Who did he not play? Mcginnis grandson from a few years ago and the current one that didn't make the varsity team this year Are you saying Bryant played the 9 best players ???? I know of players that he screwed over ( other than Leger ) for personal reasons...

If this move would have been made 3 years ago BC would have won at least 2 state championships ( IMO )

Jetties too windy for my little 19 foot rig

We had similar luck two weeks ago..No huge fish though..4 or 5 were around 8 to 10 lbs..
