My understanding is..... In the eyes of the UIL, the "official" title will be District CO-Champions with Livingston BUT In the eyes of football fans everywhere, it is understood Lumberton is the sole district champ since its owns the head to head with Livingston. UIL only uses head to head match ups for playoff tie breakers and playoff seedings. I just put my glasses on to see your point of view and it still came out fuzzy. It's Co-Champs no matter how you look at it. What is so hard for people to understand about that? It's like the year back in the 90's that PNG shared the title with whomever and still had shirts printed that said "District Champs". Even at the playoff game we attended in College Station I felt compelled to point out the error to some unsuspecting kool-aid drinker from Port Neches while dining out at Chili's. :

Enjoy it Dog fans because Friday night we are done if we play anything like we've played for over HALF THIS SEASON, stick a fork in us. By the skin of our teeth we made it into the first round of the playoffs and I'll be shocked if we go any farther. The talent in our District continues to improve and we do not. The Dogs have great athletes but I seriously question some of the coaching techniques over the last two years. We've become so freakin transparent that I'm surprised the Ghost Hunters crew hasn't come down to investigate. Before anyone says "you're just bitter", no I'm just honest. Our fans have become spoiled to winning and sit in the stands pouting when we're not winning the games. Lumberton has an awesome thing going on. Watching the fans, band, coaching staff and players get "excited" is so refreshing that I almost went to their side last night to join the band on the "Thriller" dance. Lumberton isn't "ruined" by winning yet. Nederland and PNG have been. Personally I believe a couple of losing seasons would actually be the best medicine and maybe everyone (coaching staff especially) will refocus and figure out why the heck they're actually here. My two cents...and this coming from a "homer". :

I guarantee you there were fans in the stands last night that had no clue who LM was. They were asking us Nederland fans "where are they from? are they good? Where is Lamarque at?". Seriously, I thought they were joking. They weren't.

Pfft, I've been saying it for years. The only thing missing from Lamarque's halftime performance is a shiny metal pole on the 50 yard line. It's raunchy and they know it. For that matter, everybody knows it.

Yeah, Titan rags on Mid-County because of the reasons BMT says. However, he's really a decent guy and somebody I have no problem calling friend. And "bee"lieve me, he's the guy you want on your flag football team. Right PATitan? ;D

I agree Mike. I love it when people post a team's record and say "they've won every game!" Ok ok ok...but who have they played? Bay City? The were beaten handily by a TAPPS team this year.
