  1. Mexican word of the day - Believing Trump won’t Beleiving the White House any time soon.
  2. Was a durn good game. What’s the pre-game anticipation for Gunter vs Omaha Paul Prewitt? Is Gunter expected to roll?
  3. Again, I wasn’t there, but I have a hard time buying into all the racist remarks. Orangefield had an outstanding post player last year that was black. To my knowledge, he was accepted at the school and by the town people. And while Coach Tigee was at Ltown last year, I never heard of any racist problems, and the whole team was white and thought the world of him. I’ve met him and we talked, and he appeared to be a fine gentleman, and my G’son thought he was great. And Coach Tigee helped him with his plans after high school.. Now a short word about any transfers to HF. Rare is the HS in this area, or State, who doesn’t get transfers. I heard it used to go on at TJ in the 50’s & 60’s. High Schools today need a revolving door for athletes. But if a young man was a good basketball player, why .transfer to HF? Why not EC, United, or Silsbee? Maybe it’s because they like the new Coach. I stand by Coach Tigee, as will his players, white, black and brown.
  4. Saw a picture of a profound sign. DID YOU KNOW.... ONE OUT OF THREE DEMOCRATS ARE JUST AS STUPID AS THE OTHER TWO 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
  5. The current Time Magazine is almost useless, with the exception of the potential use in an outhouse.
  6. That’d make him, “the one that got away”. 😂😂😂 if y’all had paid him 155K, he’d probably still be there, lol.
  7. Since there have been some suggestions of impropriety by Coach Tigee, and several of us in the discussion weren’t at the game, I contacted a friend who is a Bobcat fan, and an avid basketball fan (fanatic). He admitted that Coach Tigee was very passionate, and was “on the Refs”, but in his opinion, the Coach’s animation wasn’t that bad. I doubt he actually heard what was said, but it’s a rare basketball (any sport) Coach who hasn’t been frustrated by Referees to the point of almost losing it, especially in a tight game as visitors. And on a side note about officiating. No doubt there are many good basketball officials who do their best to be as fair as possible, but in my many years of watching sports, I’ve never seen any sport worse than basketball for having some who are blantedly biased, for whatever reason (playing in Cleveland comes to mind). But since they’re necessary to the game, I’m still glad we have them.
  8. The Orangfield game went into OT, and in front of a predominately Orangefield crowd, Coach Tigee’s passion and excitement might have been misconstrued by the crowd. My G’son played on the Raiders varsity last year, and his experience with Coach Tigee was very positive throughout the year. I wouldn’t be to quick to judge someone over the actions in one, very close game in OT, in a hostile environment. Jmo
  9. We could have a whole thread on satellite/cable companies 🐂💩. Someday a company will come along and let you pick what channels you want. They can add all the infomercial channels they want at the end, but as of now, all we can do is stay mad at them. #&¥££€§%#!
  10. Makes my pick easier, North Shore. To bad he’s out because this did look like a heckuva matchup. NS’s high powered offense vs a good Duncanville Defense. But with a Fr QB, apt to make mistakes, it could turn into a rout. I do find it strange that a big school wouldn’t have an older backup. And with an undefeated season, one with plenty of playing time.
  11. Win over HF impressive. They defeated EC at Evadale Tournament, which is never easy. Sounds like the Bobcats are playing good ball.
  12. Evidently he’s very, very, good. What little I’ve kept up with them, a genius at halftime adjustments. A big advantage a lot of Coaches don’t have. I do wonder why some bigger, more affluent, school hasn’t gotten him out of Carthage. Best guess, he just likes it there.
  13. Okay, did a little research. Yes, La Vega was there in 2015, and beat Carthage, BUT, Carthage has been there in 2015, 16, 17, and 18. Also, they beat La Vega in 2017. Point is, most of the Carthage players have been there 2 or 3 years in a row. I doubt few current La Vega players have been there. Imo, that gives Carthage an edge in experience. Whether it’s enough, we’ll find out Friday. Records and common opponents are very even. The big unknown is individual matchups. Should be one of the best SC games..
  14. My bad. I’m not familiar with their record. Carthage has 6 SC, so how many does La Vega have? And I’m not being flippant, I really nave no idea.
  15. Keep hearing how good (and dirty?) La Vega is, but Carthage has so much experience at this. Probably be a great game, but I can see LV making some kind of major snafu late in the game, and the Dawgs capitalize to win. Btw, don’t cancel your Texas Live based on my post. My Bookie lives in a $750,000 home thanks to me. 😄
  16. Do they wet down the court in tennis? 😂😂😂
  17. Holy Moly. What kind of school/Coach/Deal is that? Seems like I’ve seen that at another tournament, but don’t remember the team. Maybe tournaments need to start giving a participation trophy? 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
  18. Huffman up to their old trick of playing good basketball. Always appear well coached and very disciplined.
  19. I’m just plain old jealous!
  20. Posting scores is one thing, but what you just described sounds like a priority! 😄😄😄
  21. And like’em are not, that’s a tough route thru Carthage. Kind of strange they’ve dominated in D1 so much, and now going down to D2.
  22. Me too.
  23. So many tournaments and games being played, and to many with no scores. C’mon folks! Many of us look here to see how everyone’s doing. Please post scores, even when your team loses. If you’re at a tournament, they normally have a bracket with scores posted. In between games, post them. No one can be at all the games/tournaments, so try to post as many as possible. Keep the Forum members informed. It would be appreciated.
  24. Amen. They lost a couple of good players from last year, but had a good nucleus left, and a pretty good JV. Anticipate them being in contention for a playoff spot again.
  25. What a heckuva game. And a miracle comeback by Silsbee. They say, close but no cigar, but them Tigers have heart. Much better than cigars. Congrats to Wimberley, and good luck next week.
