  1. Will Vidor get their first win over Ned, in Ned, in forever? No offense to Ned fans, but I hope the Bulldogs they have their worst game in a long time. Fumbles galore - Dropped passes - bad snaps - erratic passes - stupid penalties - bad coaches decisions - missed tackles - DB’s falling down on both Vidor pass plays. This may not be a rivalry game, but there’s a heckuva lot more at stake for both teams than the usual rivalry game.
  2. Astros bats need to get hot.. Pitching isn’t going to win this thing.
  3. Only secret weapon I could see is, they found out the Bulldog Coaches are using their IPads in the press box. Ned’s always been an admirer of PNG tactics 😂😂😂.
  4. I haven’t done all the math, but I suspect the Ned game is for Vidor’s playoff future. On the downside, Vidor only beats Ned in odd numbered centuries, and then, maybe.
  5. Apparently Weather conditions are going to play a big part. Who relies more on the pass, Crosby or BH? If one can dominate the running game, they have an advantage. BH best hope the Cougs don’t score first. They get their clock wound up, all bets are off. Btw, in the early predictions, Crosby was picked in the top 4 in many, while Vidor and Santa Fe were picked last. I’m thinking Vidor is the Dark Horse.
  6. So, you been secretly hiding out and reading every post, waiting for a chance to pounce? Is that about right? Lol, regardless, welcome back. Your edification is just a few keystrokes away. No, I did not support Obama’s handling in Syria. He “drew a line in the sand”, and when Russia shoved it up his kister, he backed down. And I did not approve of what Trump did pulling a handful (I’ve heard anywhere from 50 to 300) of troops out giving Turkey the opportunity to attack the Kurds. That said, I still don’t see where that aided Russia, which is the title of this thread. We still have troops there, although many wonder why, but the Middle East is like a giant chessboard, where realistically the best you can hope for is stalemate.
  7. Did Larry Csonka just transfer in? 😂😂😂 You young folks will just have to Google.
  8. Is that Zen? You’ve got my Ying and Yang tied in knots. 😂😂😂
  9. They might change their mind if they watch this. Can’t believe this got by the CNN political censors. Ohio swing voters are all in for Trump. [Hidden Content]
  10. And I had Heck with algebra, so this is way over my head. You’ve definitely impressed me with your knowledge (whatever it is 😂😂😂). Good job png9mon.
  11. Lol, best of friends....... when they’re not playing each other. 😂😂😂
  12. Good point. Some of the teams around Htn are starting off like gang busters. Freaking anomaly.
  13. Anticipate Vidor in this District next year. That’ll make for some interesting matchups. Be nice to have LCM & Ltown in the same Dist with the Pirates.
  14. Stagnant thread? Okay, I’ll take a shot at this one. Pirates win this one 17-14, in the Black and Gold Mud Bowl. Btw, hard to believe it’s week 9 already.
  15. Sure it takes good coaching, but there are many other things. Tradition is often overlooked. It brings the kids buying in and fan support. WB was fortunate enough to start off with a great Coach who won State & started tradition. The Mid-County schools have had winning traditions, and tons of fan support, forever. What has South & North Bmt had? SP & French - Ozen & Central - now BU. Kids probably have trouble remembering what school they are at. Hopefully though, they’ll come together and build tradition, despite the obstacles.
  16. This is hilarious. Bet his sphincter was a 10 on the Tight Hiney Hole 1 To 10 scale. 😂😂 [Hidden Content]
  17. Beasley’s green onion is a great one. For pan sausage, Owens is my favorite. I love the rare times I can get my wife to make spaghetti and use hamburger and a pound of Owens Hot pan sausage mixed in. She hates the hot 😢. Market Basket Pepper Jack Cheese boudin is good too.
  18. I wish, but probably have to go back to 1979 to see the last time the Pirates shutout Ned. I’ll be thrilled with a Pirate win of 7-6, 8-7, 50-49. Just know Vidor needs a W. Sure hate really needing a W against Ned.
  19. Your response might be because you follow a tradition rich school. Take a team like Huntington. Heck, a Coach that could just get a winning record for several years, could be Mayor (King) of that town. 😂😂😂
  20. Lol, see some good valid post here, pointing out many potential problems. To use a car analogy - BU is like a Dodge Viper. Car has all the power you want, but isn’t running right. Is it the plugs, timing, filers, computer, bad fuel? One thing for sure, you get a mechanic (Coach) like Durley, he’d fix all that. BUT, guys like Durley don’t come around that often. Certainly one of the best HS coaches I’ve ever seen in this area. Just hope BU can get that Viper running right.
  21. Being an ancient poster, 86 - 2 more wins and he passes Ethtridge, is monumental. Seals the deal for me.
  22. Might depend on Coach’s, and the teams, past record, and his pay. Westerberg, at Barbers Hill was getting some bad post on here right off the bat. Now, not so much. Fans of a bad program will be more tolerant. You get named HC at WOS or Carthage, you better come out of the gate kicking booty. There’s a lot of variables.
  23. Maybe not. An earlier poster alluded to Vidor being 80 below 5A at end of 2018. Being a handful over will suck like a Hoover vacuum. Four A has been good for Ltown, but not so good for Livingston. Probably be a good fit for Vidor.
  24. Yep, but it’s been a while. I remember quite a few schools that were in our Districts that have been replaced, but probably forget a few, South Park, French, TJ, Orange Stark (Bmt Hi? Maybe, but senility abounds). Ironically, in our area, 4AD1 is preferable to 4AD2, Lol.
  25. Wouldn’t be much of a problem with 7 Dist games afterwards to see all those shotgun types. Have to say, it will seem strange for Vidor to not be in Dist with the Mid-County teams, if they do drop.
