There’s a great story on FB of a local contribution to the Apollo 11 Mission. John Hirasaki, an Engineer and Vidor/Lamar Graduate, was in NASA’s Landing and Recovery Division, responsible for procedures on recovery of the capsule, and more importantly, protect the people of earth from any foreign bacteria. Four of the team volunteered to enter the Mobil Quarantine Lab. John drew the short straw. He spent 21 days in the Lab with the crew of Apollo 11. Here’s a link for those of you on FB. The family had a farm on the SE side of Vidor.

I can’t speak for everyone else my age, but what I’m seeing in people and our society today, is like watching some some gosh-awful, unreal B movie, written by a delusional idiot. Had this movie came out in the 60’s, it would’ve gone broke in a week. To dumb. To unreal. Maybe just old age. Maybe just me.

The few times I’ve seen the Slot T, I liked it. Imo, if you are lucky enough to have a QB who can run it, and also pass with a degree of accuracy, it is a formidable weapon. Unfortunately, most good passers have been groomed to be prima donna’s, and aren’t mentally ready to run a tough offense. It’s almost a Catch 22.

I hate to judge, or criticize different denominations, but I’m concerned about many of these New Age, or Prosperity Churches. I’m sure many non-denominational Churches are based upon sound Scripture, but there are some that are alien to my beliefs. This Church appears that it might fit into that group.
