Lmbo, yeah you’re right.

And these liberal bullies think these kids still deserved to be attacked on social media. The bullies include an editor for the NYT. Talk about road rage - stories like this give me the screaming Red A__. [Hidden Content]

Proof positive that “The Hogs” don’t get enough credit. A great offensive line makes an average QB & RB good or great. A few “good” RBs have holes big enough to march a band through. Put that same RB behind an avg offensive line, his YPC avg drops like a bad stock in a bear market. Same with QBs.

I think baddog, you could sum up their platform in two words, Hate Trump. TDS has taken hold. Who’ll get the nomination? How about Ocasio-Cortez? Is she 35? And I don’t mean her IQ, I’m talking about age.

Tell Me AGAIN that Liberalism Is Not A Mental Illness!

Sometimes I think the X Files wasn’t so far off when they showed this group of individuals that had virtually unlimited power to do what they will. -
Based on Brady’s game winning drives record, you had to know it was probably over at the OT coin flip. I can’t believe the NFL doesn’t use the NCAA OT system, or some adaptation of it. Is it pride or stupidity? Tom Brady, like him or hate him, what a QB. Why is he still performing at such a high level at his age? As Hoops alluded to, I’m sure kale smoothies are a big help. Jmo, I think a lot of credit goes to Welker and Edelman. Having those quick throws underneath has kept him from getting a lot of hits. Welker, undrafted, and Edelman, a 7th round pick, have been diamonds in the rough for NE. And speaking of receivers, has anyone ever had two comparable to Swann & Stallsorth? I rarely watch anymore but grew up a Cowboy fan. It kills me to say this, but those two were freaking awesome. Just wonder if any of you old timers have seen their like again?

Lol, good point. And many people from other areas of the country are in disbelief when you tell them about “dry” areas in Tx. I suspect in about 20 years they’ll be saying, What, they haven’t legalized marijuana?
-
Sorry, I didn’t make my question clear. Say you’re from Pennsylvania, and have a prescription for mj. You get it filled & go on vacation in Texas, and for whatever reason, the law finds it. Are you still charged? If that’s the case, then Tx is probably losing tourist dollars.
-
I think mj was a “gateway drug” only because the dealers coerced the clients by saying they were out of mj, but had these pills. According to the article I posted, 14% os seniors have gotten off opioids after mj was legalized. Speaking of legal, I have a question. I know if you buy mj in Colorado, and get caught in Texas with it, you’ve broken the law. My question is, if you have a prescription for it, is it legal to have in Texas? Don’t think I’ve ever heard how that is handled.

Tell Me AGAIN that Liberalism Is Not A Mental Illness!
Hagar replied to Reagan's topic in Political Forum
Out of respect for the several people I know to just be liberals, I have to say that many, (most?) of the Democrats have left liberal behind. They’re no longer liberals, they’re Socialist heading to Communist. The folks we’ve always thought of as liberals are probably as politically frustrated as conservatives. -
The only reason it affects me is due to the fact that so many liberals will come on the political thread and throw out racist accusations over the least offensive comment. After years of that, it gets irritating. But hey, you say to-mot-toe I say to-mate-toe. Cest la vie.

You make a valid distinction between being prejudice & racist. I would like to discuss it further. First, I wonder why those white people you heard in your youth thought they were superior? As in, what way superior - totally - intellectually - morally - financially? Back in my younger days, I also knew a few white people I would classify as racist, but I don’t know in what area the perceived superiority was directed. Perhaps it’s just a general thing, like someone from Boston might think themselves superior, even though they’re the same race, to someone from Mexia. I’ll concede the point that the name calling was prejudicial as opposed to racist. The poster also made the claim against the whole town. Heaven forbid you get on here and use the phrase “you people” - major faux pas. Anyway, thanks for the distinction.

And the fake news outlet, Buzzfeed, gets their “news” called out as fake by the Special Council, and the Left Wing Loons still stand by their fake news story. Color me speechless.

Blacks and liberals love to make the racist allegation. On the basketball thread tonight, one poster referred to Silsbee Coach & players as African- American - that’s find, but then that same poster referred to everyone in Ltown as Lily-White. I’m fairly certain the poster is a colored man, but I’m tired of this one way racial sensitivity. Btw, if the racist happens to read this, you can referred to me as a Caucasian, Anglo-Saxon, or a European-American, but I don’t appreciate racial slurs like lily-white.

You so bad. -
Yep. When I want to get decadent, I have to head to Silsbee or Vidor.

That Mega sounds like my kind of meal. God was thinking of food when he made Cajuns.

Hynek started out as a non-believer in UFOS. According to the show, and I suspect this is true, he joined Blue Book as a scientific study to prove there weren’t UFOS. He was (like some on this Forum) sure there was nothing alien to the sightings/reports.. For more on Hynek, read the following. It’s not about the show, but a short summation of how Hynek’s views changed on the subject of the UFO phenomenon. [Hidden Content]

As much as I’m proud of my native state, our leaders often bewilder me. Take Horse Racing for instance. Tx money flooded into La for years. Tx finally gets off its duff and legalizes parimutuel wagering - to a short applause, because La up the bet (pun intended) and legalized Casino gambling. I’d be willing to bet (that word again lol) that if Tx legalizes Casinos, La would legalize mj, leaving the Tx leaders once again scratching their collective rear ends.

Same one sided story.
-
Lol, actually in the article, it says the folks from the 60’s had already accepted it. Best as I cud tell, these are 55-65 year olds.
-
Most of my personal comments many of you know already, but we do have new posters, so I’ll repeat them. I graduated in the early 60’s from high school. Served in the Army from 65 to 67. Right in the middle of the new drug culture. I’ve never used mj. Been with people who did, but I was vehemently against it, and stayed that way until about 68 years old. I finally realized that outlawing it was useless. Like prohibition, it’s not working, no matter how much money we throw at it. I still don’t use it because it’s against the law in Texas. I wonder why Texas doesn’t legalize it, and take the money out of the hands of the Cartels? Texas prides itself on personal independence. Less Govt. So why not legalize it? Perhaps for the same reason our Fed Govt. doesn’t remove it as a Sch 1 narcotic. As this article shows, many seniors are getting off their expensive medicines and using mj in lieu of them, for pain, depression, anxiety, etc. So, follow the money. Big Pharmaceutical Giants are starting to lose money. Since so many in Congress are supported by these giants of industry, they fail to do the right thing. The Opiod Crisis is reportedly taking so many lives now. Could legalization of mj lower opiod use, as I’ve been speculating? According to this article, opiod use has been reduced 14% in states that have legalized mj. Anyway, I’m one staunch conservative that has at least one liberal view. Hope you take the time to read this with an open mind. [Hidden Content]

Yes, good for Texas. For all of you that don’t think we need a wall, leave your fence gates open and your doors unlocked from now on. Do that and I’ll know you’re not just a political tool - that you really believe we don’t need a wall. You keep the fence closed and your doors locked, you know we need a wall.
