They are. I think the margin of victory may surprise some. Suspect a lot of new Republicans to show up. And yes, I hope I’m right.

Are y’all sure this is for all the marbles? All I heard about 10 weeks ago was how superior the teams where on the west side of the Trinity. Well butter my butt and call me a biscuit. Look a here. The two Mid-County schools playing for the DC (or share). The story would make a good movie, and the game will make a great ending. Good luck to both teams. It’s gonna be a good one.
-
They may end up 3-7, but imo, they’ll be the best 3-7 team in the country.

Vidor fans have to be proud of these kids. Outmanned, outgunned, But rarely out of the game. Even with the adversity of heartbreaking losses and injuries, there aren’t many in the District would want to play them again. My hats off to the Pirates and Coach Matthews.

Very uncharacteristic of Coach T's team.

Cougar fans should be ashamed.

OOL, but this is priceless.

Best Bar-bq links, imo, Patillo’s on Wash Blvd. Not for anyone who thinks grease will kill you. But I sure like them suckers. Best Bar-bq, locally a no-brainer, JB’s in Orange. And my mouth is watering just posting this.
-
OOL, but I like your post. Thanks for the eyewitness analysis. And again, not blaming the kids, they give it everything they have for Matthews, and that’s all anyone can ask. Good luck to the Pirates tomorrow night.

Let me make it clear, my post was in no way a condemnation of Coach Matthews or the program. He gets 110% out of the kids. Any team coming off 2 heartbreaking losses like they did, would be affected somewhat. Actually, just an opinion that a winning tradition is an advantage. If I had a son playing, I'd be thrilled for him to play for Coach Matthews. Sure, I think if they worked on, and passed more, they'd be more successful, but I've seen Vidor score more points in one game than they scored in a whole season with this offense. And in the first 5 games, they scored 188 points, an Avg 37.6 a game, including 36 vs Crosby and 32 against PNG. Even now they're averaging 32.75 a game. That's not to shabby. Perhaps it's not the offense that's the problem.

Why are you so sure she won't be the candidate? You must be an idiot. Do you realize the DNC fixed the primaries so Bernie couldn't win? Do you realize that the Dems made sure she got the questions prior to debates? Don't never underestimate the power of the Clintons in the Democratic Party. If you do, you're definitely an idiot.

Yes, take the Over. The Under is definitely the underdog.

And you want to talk about Fake News. Every conservative, or fair, media outlet has a link on this story. I went back 5 pages and did not see any from CNN, ABC, CBS, NYT, MSNBC or NBC. They cover for each other. And yes, omission of news is Fake News. [Hidden Content]

Can’t imagine how good PNG would be with a super DC. Of course, the same could be said for most teams in this district (BH, Crosby, Vidor). Fun watching the O’s putting up numbers, but it’d be nice occasionally to look on the scoreboard and see a goose egg on the other team lol. In this district, just break out the calculators.
-
This is just my opinion, but Vidor’s season exemplifies what I’m always saying about a winning tradition. Had Vidor won, either against Crosby or PNG, they’d be a lock for a playoff spot now. Those two losses ended their season. Had that happened to Ned or PNG, they’d never looked back. They’d still won the games they should win. That tradition makes all the difference in the mental attitude. If Vidor thinks Lee & Dayton are going to roll over and play dead, they may lose both of them. I’m not sure how long it takes to build that type tradition/attitude. Crosby doesn’t seem to have it, even though they’ve won a lot in recent years. They folded after the PNG loss, though they still may make the playoffs. Hail, I’m no genius. Maybe I’m wrong. That’s just the way I see it.

If BE is correct, and most are women and children, it’s obvious the majority of these people are coming for welfare. Which reminds me of a profound meme I saw yesterday. Liberals carry signs that say, Share the wealth. But I’ve never seen them carry one saying, Share the work.
-
No, and there’s a good reason. At the present time, a wall is the only answer. To which liberals will say, we don’t want an ugly wall. News flash, I doubt any conservatives “want” an ugly wall, but we need one. I don’t want a colonoscopy, but I need one.

Yep, happened before. How did that turn out? Just watching the News. They reporting on the killers, gang members, and others convicted of human trafficking. Oh, and an immigration lawyer down there working with them. Telling them how to answer questions - you were threatened. - who by - etc. Essentially, the lawyer is making a mockery of out immigration policy.

Imo, in this technology age, the rule is ridiculous. It’s like not letting kids use a calculator in math class. All the teams trade videos. Most know what the others do anyway, except some tweaking. The NCAA needs to look at this rule.

If his intentions were to injure someone, why didn’t any of these “bombs” have detonators? He either did it for his 15 min of fame, or he was paid enough money to do it by someone.

As a conservative, I want to keep Govt interference in our lives to a minimum. However, the Left has distorted our Laws, especially when it comes to the separation of Church & State. We’ve seen it here in SETX at Kountze, when the Freedom From Religion Foundation tried to impose itself on the cheerleaders banners. Here’s another, totally despicable, example. [Hidden Content] Now, with that said, let’s look at a Law in Brazil. It makes it against the law to have any political propaganda in a public building. That would include all public schools, colleges & Universities. Yes, it may be slippery slope, but it would prevent indoctrination of our kids. Just asking your opinions. My knee jerk reaction is, let’s do it. But in the long term, I’m not so sure. [Hidden Content]
