Sometimes jv_coach, you’re scary smart ! Corporal Punishment = discipline. Long term solution, bring back discipline to schools, because so few see it at home. And parents that don’t like it can home school their little brats. I posted a time or two about about a news report (60 Minutes?) I agree, and since I have a close relative that teaches, I’m well aware of that. Jmo, based on what teachers are confronted with daily, they deserve a significant raise. An almost insignificant raise in the Sales Tax, would be enough to increase Tx teachers pay immensely, with money left over. And I’m normally vehemently opposed to increasing taxes. Or a 1 cent increase on a gallon of gas.
