See Santa Fe started off with a 27-6 over Ft Bend Kempner. When they look at the Pirates score from last night, they must be licking their lips. Hope the Pirates can Reboot and start all over this coming Friday. Everyone has an “off” night. Let last night be the last this year. Heads up Pirates. Saw heads down in the 2nd Qtr. Way to early to throw in the towel. That’s the time you bow up and come back. It’s over. Use it as a building block. Be thinking 9-1 regular season. Git’er done!

I suspect BF looked at this score with mixed emotions. Hated to see it for the kids, but has to be a lil devil sitting on his shoulder saying, “lol, got what you deserved PNG School Board”. Hope the Indians (and Pirates) are able to turn it around next week.

They’re probably for Mature Audience only. Not something young folks should see. Again, hats off to Silsbee. Despite the fact that was the worst Pirate performance in many years, Silsbee still was impressive. A good balance on offense and head hunters on defense. Good luck to the Tigers going forward.

No idea what the problem is but I hope they figure something different out. What they doing now isn’t working.

On the plus side, the Silsbee 9th grade scored a good victory. I heard last years Pirate 9th was really good, but expected so many to get called up to varsity.

Sounds like another good group coming. From what I read on here, Vidor JV has an impressive winning streak. Hope that ability transfers to the Varsity.

That 327 4bbl was a great engine. As I remember most were 250 HP but they also had a 300 HP. Put that with a 4 speed transmission & you could run with almost anything. Maybe my bias but all around I thought the ‘64’s were the best looking of the big three - Fury, Impala SS & Galaxy 500. Would be proud to own any of those 3.

Don’t envy the OT who lines up against him. Talk about a long night having to try & block him every play. And in the rare game there is a OT who can do it physically, he’ll out quick him.

HC at PNG gets a tough start. If nothing else, everyone will get an indication of what to expect this season. O? D? Both? Neither? We’ll know more Saturday morning.

Kid has no quit in him and quick as a cat. If I’m OC, I’m planning on running away from him. Reminds me of Vidor’s NG the last 3 years. Surprised the clips show little double team blocking on him. I’m thinking 2 or 3 blocking, and then, maybe.

No reason why, just got a feeling it’ll be a sloppy game by both teams. Probably like that feeling you get trying to hit an inside straight. But first game jitters combined with the weather, is the perfect combination for fumbles, stumbles, falls and what alls. Hope I’m wrong!

As expected, PAM Coaches whine & cry over scoreboard at The Reservation shows them down 14-0 before game even starts. PNG Officials don’t understand the problem. One PNG Coach in the press box slams down his iPad in frustration. Accuses PAM Coaches of overreacting.

I’m guessing it going to boil down to turnovers. If the Pirates gift the Tigers, they’ll have a long trip back to Vidor. No turnovers, Pirates in a close one.
