This is the News Story that won't go away. I feel almost euphoric. I'll paraphrase Rick's quote from Casablanca - "In all the minds, in all the people, in all the world, this news story walks into mine". For you skeptics, or those of you to lazy to read the whole thread, here's a quick summary of events leading up to yesterday afternoon. 1- On Jan 13, at 8:07AM of this year in Hawaii, an alleged False Alarm of an impending nuclear missile attack. Alleged because it wasn't a false alarm. N. Korea actually fired one or two missiles at Hawaii (and possibly another target. 2- On Jan 20, there was a News report that a Charter Boat 100 miles to the west of Hawaii, with 22 people on board saw a tremendous flash in the sky around 8 AM. The story was shortly taken down. And how many missiles has the North fired since this incident? None. This, after firing 19 in 2017. 3- After the incident, Jung-un got all serious about having talks with the South. On Jan 22, he allowed a NBC News team in and treated them exceptionally well. Then gets the South to agree to let Korea have a unified team in the Winter Olympics. Also, the employee that initiated the "false alarm" was held by authorities and not given access to the press to explain his actions (until he was sufficiently cowed down enough to say what our Govt wanted him to say). 4- On March 1, the MSM reported that Putin claimed to have a nuclear missile that the US could not stop with our defenses Think about that. I'd bet if we did shoot down missiles from the North, he'd know. There's been no talks of nuclear war between us and Russia. So, why would Putin come out of the blue and announce that? 5- And yesterday, it was announced Jung-un wanted to meet with Trump, and suspend his nuclear program. [Hidden Content] I'll admit it's just a theory, but the dominoes keep falling, and if you follow the trail, it all leads back to the "false alarm". And you guys are just lucky old REBgp is keeping y'all in the loop. I fully expect to be picked up by one of the black helo's circling my home in Evadale. But fear not, I've got many copies of all my documentation in envelopes to mail to each of you in the event of my disappearance or untimely death. Lol, this is one of the best Conspiracy Theories in a while.

Not trying to put you down Kountzer, just ask that you take a moment to look at it from our side. And it's not to make you agree, but simply to understand. I doubt you'll hear Dixie being played at any ball games. And though many don't believe it, many of us like the song, for the words and it's been around since 1859, NOT because it has any racist connotations to us, just dad gum like it. But it offends many others, so it's not played.

Nederland Bulldog Relays, 2/16
Hagar replied to bulldog81's topic in High School Track & Field/Cross Country
I'm reminded of the Barbers Hill Supt ragging on Vidor's field after a football game following 3 solid days of rain. Durn right it was muddy, so that buffoon suggested Vidor ought to get a turf field. Well okay high roller, let Barbers Hill pay for it, and while your at it, get us one in Evadale. -
what if auto garages worked like public schools.

I think in most states, it's turned into 12-16 years of indoctrination into left wing ideology. Colleges, which once where the bastion of free speech and the open discussions of different ideas, are now little more than socialist brainwashing factories. -
I'm sure the song is a great song, but the new name is divisive. It implies one group of Americans is more important than all Americans. Would the NBA allow a song named the "Caucasian National Anthem" to be sung? I hope not, and that's the point - it has nothing to do with the song, it's the new title given it. The left constantly preaches inclusiveness. Tears down statues, and has cardiac arrest over a flag, but this is okay? In the US, it used to be live and let live. Now it's live how the left wants you to live. Sorry, but I for one am tired of the left dictating what's okay and what's not okay.

It's held in California, for a California business - enough said.

I'm not rich no-look. Not even comfortable financially, but I'd still pay a pretty penny to see it BTW, we should have the EMS standing by because someone will need it. Poor stevenash.
-
Holy moly, that guy is good. He just verbally B-slapped all the democrats. And yes baddog, they should be hanging their heads in shame. Great post stevenash.

Since I'm not familiar with the finer points of basketball, I have to go with Hoops opinion. I do have one question though. Had this foul been called on Hardin Jefferson, what would've been stevenash's reaction?

That part still makes me laugh. And here's to the finely tuned athlete. Been many rounds I've played I should have prepped like that . Couldn't hurt. You know what I constantly use to think? How come I could hit an 80+ Mph fastball, but yet have so much trouble hitting a golf ball just sitting there? In a tournament one time and they stopped play to step off my divot. Some guy from Nebraska came out and started dropping corn in it. They told me it was a club record, and probably a state/national record, but I didn't get no trophy or nothing. On the plus side, they brought a front end loader over so we could replace the divot. Yep, my dreams of being a PGA Pro were short lived.

Oh, and my others, and I'm swinging with my eyes closed here. Just winging it. Hoosiers, Major League, Friday Night Lights, an HBO golf movie, Dead Solid Perfect, Caddy Shack, and The Sand Lot, which I just watched (again for the umpteenth time) last week. And this basketball classic, The Air Up There. [Hidden Content]

Big Fan of Tin Cup. While Hoops put the "last ball, do or die" scene in, I prefer Roy explaining the golf swing. Entertaining as well as instructional. I will admit, it didn't help me any. I was watching a major many years ago, and they showed a close up of a players 8 iron, as he was getting ready to address the ball. Face looked grungy, all except the dead center which was shiny. I went and looked at my 8 iron. It was grungy in the middle and shiny everywhere else.

I have no idea what these agents confront on a daily basis, but this call has Red Flags all over it. And I'd think it would be simple for someone to verify the online information (not me, I can barely logon the Forum). Big black eye here.

Here's One For Anyone That Believes In Gun Control:
Hagar replied to Reagan's topic in Political Forum
Reminds me of a picture I saw 6or 7 years ago. Upper class neighborhood, and two fathers in adjacent homes had a heated discussion about gun control. The conservative put a big sign in his yard saying his home was protected by Smith & Wesson, but his neighbors wasn't. Needless to say, I loved it. -
Congratulations to Grapeland. Big win.

Those Sandies have been playing some good ball.
-
Congrats to the Dragons. And with that Jr. linebacker at post, and that Soph PG who has more fakes than a Gucci knockoff store, they will be formidable next year.
-
Made a few few of our basketball playoff games. And yes, great guy.

Still think the Dragons will pull this out.
