Holy dad gum. That group must have been the king of sandlot ball. How weird to have that many good athletes in one neighborhood group. What a time y'all must have had.

Yes indeed. I'd bet there's still a lot more sitting in a trailer, or a partially put together home not finished, than there are sitting in a Harvey flooded completely repaired home. Went thru similar, but not as overwhelming, problems with Rita. Yes, our prayers are with you.

[Hidden Content] Jobs up. Unemployment down. Market over 25K. Concerned so many rats leaving the ship. Any ideas? Speculation?

Just watched that movie (Cowboys) last week. First time in a Long time. I know when my Dad was 10 (in 1920) his Dad died, and he had to quit school and go to work to help his Mom & 2 younger sisters. Today, we probably coddle our kids to much. I made sure my minded, but things are just different now. And yes, I did too.

Okay, thanks for the info. I'm suitably impressed. Saban knows his stuff.

Haven't been keeping up with college ball like I use to, so let me ask you guys a question. Is Nick Saban that superior to all the other coaches in college? Is Alabama paying their players? Basically, why does Alabama dominate college football?

I understand the point you're trying to make, and I respect your beliefs (heck, I'm one of the few that believes in UFOs). The problem I have with your assertion is that the number of Christians is declining. Depending on which news source since 2007 it's declined from 5 to 7 per cent to about 70% to 75% of our population identify as Christians. Since the numbers are declining, I just can't see the scenario you envision taking place anytime soon. And I disagree with your statement that religion and politics are merging. If anything, that separation is widening. Still, no one should ignore the power of the Anti-Christ. Things could change. -
I agree Englebert, never underestimate the fervor of the liberals. Actually, barring any total meltdown, I think she'd win. To those on here that use sound, solid, logical reasons why she won't, I would ask you to look at the Dem Party/DNC. That bunch doesn't know how to spell logical. Between the Hugh turnout, voting manipulation (see voting results for all black precincts in Philadelphia), illegal aliens, and the Voting Dead, Trump wouldn't have a chanceThey look at Trump as we looked at Hillary - Anybody but her/him. Hail, they'd get Otis out of the Mayberry jail and vote for him over Trump.

[Hidden Content] Well, duh.

Lol, no, real old from the 50's. Maybe "The Day The Earth Stood Still"?
-
[Hidden Content] One thing that I never could understand (besides algebra) is the reluctance of our Govt to acknowledge UFO's. Just read something that makes sense, if you're a conspiracy theorists like me. "They", the OWG folks, are going to announce it when they're ready to make their move. We come together to "fight off the aliens". Ironically, there was an old Sci-Fi movie, who's name escapes me, that had a similar scenario.

I've been trying to take up for you old buddy, but these left wing anti-nash people on here, there numbers are legion.

It's evident that they'll use any kind of weather in their scam/agenda. Cold/hot - rain/dry - hurricanes/no hurricanes, well, you get the picture. It's not that they use it that bewilders me, it's the fact that so many buy into it. It boggles my mind.

Yea, Hoops will discuss things, a rare trait for a liberal. Of course politics is like religion in the sense they're very few who'll just exchange their views without trying to one up the other. He accepts the fact that I'm an uneducated redneck. I accept the fact that he's very educated, but has a sleight brain impairment when it comes to politics -

PLEASE !!!!!!! -
You're right about the age thing. Every time I try to remember things, I think of that anti-drug ad with the frying egg. Just change the words to, This is your brain when you're old lol. I want to say in the 50's there wasn't anything open on Sunday. Maybe, service stations, but I'm not sure about them. But that was before I was driving, and didn't have a lot of money anyway.
-
Wow, no wonder Hoops once mentioned, "Kissing his ring". Perhaps he has connections in the Italian community, or is Italian. It might be in my best interest to treat the gentleman with respect.

From what I've been reading Legget should have a shot, but not sure they are a Forum team. Back to the HJ vs Silsbee game - If stevenash is able to buy, I mean acquire, the Refs from Cleveland, HJ could pull this off. But without the Cleveland Refs, it'll be virtually impossible.

I understand your position on Saturday being the Sabbath. I was merely pointing out that I'm more concerned (and think other's should be) that so many are turning away from God.
