The fascinating thing to me about football today, from High School to the NFL, is the number of good looking receivers (physically) that can't catch footballs. If it was a disease, the World Health Organization would be in a panic. It does give fans grey hair and Coaches ulcers. Congrats to both teams on a great game.

Got a score?

West Orange-Stark 23 Kennedale 20/FINAL (OT)

Kennedale turnovers, just sloppy or hard hits by Stangs? -
I'm not making excuses, merely pointing out what a reporter from a Left Wing rag said. I just don't want a Govt coverup. Either way, I'm glad the pos is dead.

I thought it was funny. Posted a funny one myself in Rivalry Week, and got smack by a poster. Heaven knows a little humor is good. On a serious note, there are a lot of 5A teams around that wouldn't want to play lil ol Newton right now. Eagles are soaring high.

Amen, and in the last couple of decades, has become very competitive. Winning breeds winning. Have always envied schools with winning traditions, like Ned and PNG. The mindset of the players is always, We can win. As an example, a team without that tradition, down 3TD's at the start of the 4th Qtr is ready to go home. Ned & PNG players are still trying to figure out how to win the game. To mirror the ad, priceless.

Couldn't agree more baddog. Follow the money. The NFL has already lost several sponsors, and now Anheuser-Busch is contemplating dropping out. That would be a huge hit. They've even set up a Hot Line number you can call and voice your opinion. [Hidden Content]

I've never read Brave New World, but I doubt even Huxley (or Wells) could've foreseen this. As Paddock has just proven, there are many crazies amongst us. Anyone, even politicians, should have the ability to block someone. And yes Hoops, a colossal waste of Court time.

Could ISIS be responsible for Las Vegas? The FBI said no. Twelve hours after it happened. Anyone else think that was a little to soon? Well the NYT's ISIS correspondent is not so sure ISIS is innocent. Interesting information. [Hidden Content]

If you look at discussions on this Forum about Coaches, first thing out is won-loss record. Appears it's now influencing schedules, rivalry be dam.

You said it. My kids were in elementary when they were going thru that 40+ game losing streak. I like Vidor 42 vs Interstate 10 a lot better.

Jeff probably better have "something". Ned's D made a statement against PAM.

Time out. Quote malfunction.

I can't account for other Vidor fans. Sure, I've seen some post by Vidor fans that I thought were embarrassing, as I have supporters for every team, but my post was so blatantly obvious (one year dominance, c'mon man) to inject humor, I can't believe anyone could take it seriously. I know Coach Newmann was down to playing eenie meenie miney moe for a QB last year, and several other positions, and Vidor still barely won. I haven't been to a 22-5A game in 6 years, so I'm no authority on the current teams. Just like to post a little levity, and every now and then, something serious based on my limited knowledge of football after being around it 60 years. Hope you get to go to the game. I really think it'll be a good one.

Monday Night Football ratings tank. [Hidden Content] And the Hats Off to the Fannin County HS team. I only wish one of our local teams had done this first. A must read. [Hidden Content]

The majority of the conservatives on this Forum were not "Trump Supporters". But when confronted with Hillary vs Whoever, Whoever (in this case Trump) wins every time. You say you're not a liberal. Can you name 10 good things Obama did for our country in his 8 years? If you can, you'd have to be a liberal. I can probably name at least four Trump has done already, and he's only been in office less than a year.

I would ask you, where would you go for 'real' news? I watch CBS every evening. Their news is so slanted it's pathetic, and one of their top people said she was, "not even sympathetic to the Vegas victims since they were gun owners and most likely Republicans". And Rather ran his fabricated piece on Bush. CNN & others have been exposed creating fake news. Ninety percent of the news on Trump has been negative. So again I ask you, where do you go for 'real' news? I'm not trying to put you down, because I don't know where to go for real news. Only online news source that I've heard has never published false news is Breitbart, although I'll admit it's slanted. What we use to refer to as news, which was relatively not slanted or fabricated, and had reporters who actually researched their stories, is evidently extinct.

Lol, you are a piece of work. I'm sincerely glad you're not representative of the average Bulldog fan, or members of this Forum. If you couldn't tell that post was written in jest, you are one strange individual. Either you have a superiority or inferior complex, but I'm not a psychologist, so I've no idea which. In earlier post on this thread I've referenced the many times Ned has best Vidor. Guess you didn't bother reading them. I'd suggest you come down off your ivory tower and quit embarrassing the rest of Bulldog Nation.

Hey, I'm old and senile. Got advanced CRS syndrome. Remembering a year back is something of a miracle lol.

History? You really want to go there. At least the Pirates won (shared) the Dist Championship. In fact, since 2016 the Pirates have won or shared the DC every year. In that same lengthy period, Nederland has failed to make the playoffs. Btw, y'all have a shot at fourth this year to break the string. Wish you the best of luck.

This is suppose to be a thread to lighten up. You just depressed us all by telling the truth

I agree. Have they announced he was shooting an AR-15? I haven't heard. There are a number of potential auto rifles with a lot of recoil, but the AR-15 shouldn't have been taxing. But you're correct about hitting people. In fact, with the first clip, it'd been hard as hades to miss anyone. I'm fascinated the reporters are so fixated on how he got the weapons & ammo to his room. Seen reports he'd often stayed long stays in casinos, so he was familiar. Friday & Sat afternoons in big Casinos are bedlam with all the folks checking in. You could easily carry them up to your room in baggage on multiple trips and no one would ever realize it. I am still very curious about motive. It's possible he could've just snapped, but with all the planning and forethought that went into this (girlfriend gone - he wires her money - acquisition of the number of guns and large amount of ammo) it wasn't a spur of the moment thing. Doesn't sound like snapped is the right word. And again, imo, the assurances by the FBI that he had no ties to ISIS (Islam) only 12 hours after the incident is suspicious in itself. He doesn't fit the profile, but for them to make a statement like that, that quick, is a red flag. Also curious about no apparent muzzle flashes from his room. The alleged muzzle flashes from a lower floor is hard for me to believe. Never stayed at the Mandalay, but most of those resorts don't have windows that open (don't want the big losers jumping to their death). Hope the Govt is open to what all the investigation reveals, but after the last 8 years, I have absolutely no reason to trust anything they say.

You're pretty much correct. Only question is Central. As I remember prior to the season, many had Central as a sure #3. Now PAM beat them pretty bad, but based on the posts, Central was gifting PAM with many bad snaps, giving PAM some easy scores. Don't think they helped Vidor quite as much, but they've always had trouble with the Slot T. Still think it's going to be a close one. I'd go with Vidor simply on home field. If they were playing in Nederland, I'd go with the Dogs. Imo, for the fans, the price of admission will be money well spent.

You Bulldog fans don't forget they have directions to the stadium on the Forum. I've heard from reliable sources y'all haven't played in Vidor in many years. And please ask Coach Barrow to take it easy on the Pirates.

No wonder they throw out a red carpet when I walk in the door - facial recognition. You know all those bright lights, cool air and pretty carpet? I paid for all that lol.
