Have Pirates got a little speed, or Jags just filling the box & no safeties?

Actually I'm surprised it is still a tight game.

Thanks for updates Jag Insider.

Black AMERICAN's Perspective on National Athem
Hagar replied to 5GallonBucket's topic in Political Forum
Finally got around to watching. Great video imo, thanks for posting. And I think Brandon Tatum has more sense that most of our politicians, D or R. I noticed he never brought politics into it, and he may vote democrat, but he has my respect. -
Black AMERICAN's Perspective on National Athem

Since you've served, you can now salute when the Anthem is played. I noticed no one does, but I started last Friday night, and I'd suggest all veterans start doing it. I did take off my Evadale hat prior to Anthem being played (not sure if required, but seemed like right thing to do). -
Sadly, a trend that's gaining momentum in America. Gone is the pioneer spirit. The desire to be self sufficient. The ability to take ones life in their own hands and guide themselves to be whatever they desire. BTW, I just finished reading Louis L'Amour's book "Bendigo Shafter". It's about a group of those pioneers that got in their covered wagons in the 1860's and went west. It's amazing that that we've gone downhill from those stalwart individuals to the folks (slaves to the system) mentioned in the above article. No dads (responsibility). No home cooked meals (work ethic). No family environment (no future), just mindless viewers of the TV, which, I'm sure, is never turned to The History Channel, or AHC. What a bleak future for humanity.

Lol, the grass is so purty, you'll be thinking its turf. Heck, dem kids in 21-5A ain't never smelt no natural grass. Will be a great experience for dem. Safe trip Crosby fans, and injury free game.

Since Vidor hasn't played yet, it makes it difficult to predict a score. I certainly don't think Central will help Vidor as much as they helped PAM. But I do expect a hard hitting, good football game from these two, as they've played in the past. Should be a good one.

That's the kind of nonsense you have to decipher on the dark side of the forum.

Sure. Seems like we were there 3 or 4 days. Won about $500. Unfortunately, lost about $800 (which I claimed with FEMA & didn't get poo - lol). On the plus side, had the best apple smoked bacon I've ever ate.

Spent Rita at the Horseshoe in Bossier City.. No the feeling.

No they didn't, but I suspect that Silsbee was impacted more by Harvey than was Newton, i.e. Flooding, practice, game prep, etc. I may be wrong, just me speculating, I have no idea how much rain Newton received.

You truly have the heart and soul to be a democrat. It's so typically Democratic Party to use a disaster to enhance your political agenda. No compassion. No condolences. No regrets, just hate filled rhetoric. You symbolize all the sickness that is the Democratic Party.

We must remember, only black lives matter. My prayers out to all the victims and their families. Another sad day to add too to many sad days in the last three or four years. Where/how will it end? I don't even want to contemplate.

The old expression, Killed the Goose that laid the golden egg, comes to mind. These players are doing just that it appears. Still say Roger could (should) have stopped this with Kapertwit. Jerry Jones did. It's my limited understanding that his main job is to protect the image of the NFL. If that's true, he's failed. Miserably.

Not in my opinion, but people seem to see rivalries where none exist. When I was in Vidor, the Pirate faithful would've been happy with a 1-9 season if that one victory was over Ned, but that didn't make it a rivalry, especially not for Ned, who beats Vidor 9 out of 10 times. This appears to be the first real test for WOS. I expect a tough, hard hitting contest, albeit, not close. That said, my prediction is WOS 24 Silsbee 6.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of 2A teams that just aren't any good. We have Burkeville in our Dist and they only have 13 kids suited up. And this discrepancy is even more pronounced when playing a team like Tenaha.

That was a good ol fashion hiney whippin.

I stole this from JV Coach. It's the dying truth. [Hidden Content]

Lmbo, pretty much what I first thought. EC is game, but Newton is pretty awesome.

Oh please. These young men change their minds all the time. Odds are he'll end up in maroon and white singing the Aggie War Hymn

I don't look at it like that. Rivalry? That's a word for games like Ned & PNG. Real rivalries are fairly rare. Like any game, rivalry games are sometimes blowouts. What you have is two good football teams, that'll be hyped up with adrenaline flowing at game time. Much like when Silsbee played Carthage last year. Rivalry? Maybe not, but it should be a heck of a football game.

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. A tale of two halves. I've heard of the adjustments the Carthage Coach makes at halftime, and this is confirmation of that. I think they held Gilmer to less than 50 yards in the second half. That's serious defense.
