  1. Needs to transfer to Vidor lol.
  2. Rest assured, the Bulldogs will not roll over and play dead for anyone. It's not in their mentality.
  3. Per many post on the PAM vs Central game, it was very sloppy on both sides. Not unexpected under the circumstances. I just hope Coach Matthews will have enough players to make this competitive. Last info I saw, he only had 18 of 52. Does anyone have any updated information?
  4. Prayers for the young man's family. I can't comprehend what they're going through.
  5. Gauging Centrals offense on the first game against PAM after all the disruptions is not even close to accurate. I'll bet the offense looks much improved against Vidor. Evidently, the defense did an outstanding job. I doubt there are many defenses in 21 or 22-5A who could hold PAM to 226 yards. I just hope Coach Matthews has enough players to make it competitive. It's a very critical game for both teams.
  6. I should've started this earlier. I know many of our fellow posters have been displaced by flooded homes, and others have taken in friends and relatives. Only makes sense that we should share any helpful information. So if you have any info that'll help others, questions, or want to thank someone, this is a good spot. I'll start if off. Thanks to the folks from the Vidor Mormon Church who came to my sisters house (and many other houses) & helped remove the Sheetrock & damaged material. If you live in Vidor, and need help, they're probably still at it, give them a call. Question: I've heard that some homes (Bevil Oaks) have to be checked for mold in the air before sheet rock is replaced. Is that a State, County, City, or Fed requirement? Hope someone can clarify. Tip: For you first time flooded, when our home flooded in 2005, we brushed down, with stiff brush, 2x4's. Used bleach, let it dry, and brushed again. Then sprayed with water/vinegar. After that dried good, we sprayed with water/hydrogen peroxide. Appears it worked. Overkill? Not enough? Not positive, but it worked for us. Side note: Had flood insurance. Adjustor based on what was current price, but after Rita, price was a lot higher. Say he gave us $8 a sheet. By the time we got check & went to buy, it was maybe $12, so be ready.
  7. Great post snakehead. And yes, it's fantastic what they're doing. God Bless them all.
  8. Were the "best" last year until Vidor beat them. And this year, PNG may have something to say about who's the best. But honestly, they are durn good. Should go deep.
  9. This may get out of hand quick. Raiders need to score, or they'll be in for a long night.
  10. Lol, Book'em Dano.
  11. Ironic. Shows the IQ of these goober headed loons. Pelosi's their champion, and they shout her down. Smh
  12. NT, you can go to the Outdoor thread. Hasn't been a post since May. You can go there and argue with yourself.
  13. Yes he does need to watch it. That young fellow will tell so much truth, he's bound to like some of them.
  14. I need a throw up emoji. :)~~~
  15. Yes, it is breaking the odds always being wrong on the hot side. And yet the majority of the scientist got bought into it.....oops, I meant buy into it. Freudian slip?
  16. Durn, he's right up there with Bostwick. Thot the, "We have better weather than the other 80% of the country", was fascinating lol.
  17. From the London Times. Almost sure it's not a conservative rag. Guess what? Them MMGW folks done messed up again. Just when I was going to start protesting global warming. Oh well.......... [Hidden Content]
  18. I'd almost bet she can't count that high. Besides, that money has mud, skin, feces, drugs and blood on every dollar. I'd love to know the human suffering and deaths that provided that money.
  19. Now that's the lil Johnny we know and love.
  20. [Hidden Content] Naw. Can't be. Surely not. No way Jose. Live got to ask, is this some side affect of marijuana? Rocky Mountain High?
  21. He has now become one of my favorite coaches. Need to get him at UT. And must I remind you that he's telling you the same thing that me and your wife have been saying . And if this is an example of his press conferences, they need to interrupt TV for them. Would much rather see him than our presidents (any of them).
  22. Didn't know him, nor ever heard of him until this thread, but I to am saddened by his passing away, based on the above comments. The world could use more Cleo Baltimores. RIP! PS: Probably just me, but as I read this thread I thought of Tom T. Hall's, Old Dogs, Children, and Watermelon Wine.
  23. Imo, we only have to look at our country to see the proof of this. As the percentage of Christians drops, the immorality rises. I'm not trying to start a big debate, nor am I condemning anyone's lifestyle, just looking at morals from my viewpoint as a Christian. In 1963 when prayer was taken out of schools, the atheist, empowered by that victory, have been non stop in their attacks on religion in general (except Islam) and Christianity in particular. What have been the results? Drug use has gone through the roof. We're killing unborn babies by the millions. Homosexuals are marrying. Divorce rate is 50%. Euthanasia is legal in 6 states and in DC. Pornography is on every iPhone, iPad, computer, and in a few short years, nudity will be on our regular TV channels. Etc. Etc. Etc. To a simple country soul like myself, this is a simple example of cause and effect. Am I saying Christians are perfect? Heck no, but based on the evidence, as a group, they have higher moral standards than atheist. The atheist has no moral obligation that I can see, except possibly to society, and if society is swimming in the toilet, that's not much. Jmo
  24. UIL puts both schools on two year probation. Don't know what all happened, but it must have gotten ugly. [Hidden Content]
