I figure I'd have my big behind kicked before I got past that convenience store lol. Everyone loves to bring up 70 years ago when outside many east Tx towns there'd be a sign, N-word, don't let the sun set on you in this town". Well, the blacks don't bother making a sign, but I still stand by my bet. Only time I was ever suckered punch was in the early 70's at a Vidor vs Lincoln football game in Pt. Arthur. Game almost over and walked between two buses and past 4 black guys. Next thing I knew, I had my hands on my knees shaking my head. Dude hit me in the temple, and I never saw him (my glasses were history). Must have been a Wuss because I know if I'd sucker punched him in the temple, he'd been KO'ed. Went back toward where they went ready to find them. Get at end of buses and there were 50 blacks there. I made a few choice comments at whoever hit me. To one young fellows credit, he talked the crowd down, and I left. My first proof that there were black racist. Btw, there weren't any cops around. In those days, when Lincoln came to Vidor, there were cops all over the place. Two years later when we returned, I had a Buck hunting knife under my coat. Know little about knife fighting, but if a bunch jumped on me again, I had plans to bury someone. Thank goodness there were no problems.

I'll ad readily admit the links you posted are about white lunatics - idiots - whatever you want to call them. The point of my post is, had a white man walked up and shot that many blacks in the back of the head, mother MSM would have labeled him a racist, which by all indications, would be true. The original posted link (in case you didn't read it) has a black man doing that to 5 white men, and the media called him a serial killer, no mention of racism. According to the FBI Behavioral Unit, serial killers "normally" restrict their killing to within their on race. Gacy and Wayne Williams are two examples. Many whites, myself included, are tired of the double standard, which readily shows an idiot white person as being racist, but gives idiot black people a pass. And not directed at you, because I think you'll understand what I'm saying - If anyone out there thinks there's no such thing as a black racist, let me no how much money you'll bet me. If enough for the severe beating I'll get, your on. I think I could walk down Irving street in Beaumont on a Sat night about 9, and find more black racist than I want.

Lol, touché. Btw, not sure how y'all would normally come to Jasper, but I'd suggest going N59 to Livingston and taking E190. I-10 flooded between Vidor & Bmt, & bridge out on 96 North between Bmt & Lumberton. If I-10 opens by Game day, you take it to Hi 62 North (right before you get to Orange) to Buna and turn on 96. As of now, I'm thinking that's another option, again IF I-10 opens.
-
That's what I was thinking. Volleyball starts way early.
-
I knew it had been closed, but thought it may be open sooner. If I were an Eagle fan, I'd stick to 62.
-
62 may be open, but unless they turn one side of 96 into a two lane road between Silsbee and Lumberton, it won't be. The Sountbound side (I think) bridge over Village creek is partially washed away (either S or N bound). I hope they do that, but with potential bridge structural damage, I doubt it. Possibly go to Silsbee and take road to Kountze & take 69 south. But 62 probably best option. Based this post on videos I've seen. Lot of misinformation floating around, so if someone can confirm, or refute, we'd all appreciate it.

One dude from Hemphill said they fumbled 3 times inside the 5 (or 10?). Surely he was embellishing a little, right? Actually, he never said "turnovers", but by his responses, you'd thot they gave SA the ball about 7 or 8 times, not counting the intercept.

At least Jasper has Artificial Turf. Those boys in 21-5A don't like to get grass stains on their uniforms.

Speaking of swinging by the store, in this age of Internet shopping, and Amazon getting in the food business: When warned of Harvey, we got our usual amount of extra supplies. This one has, and will, lasted much longer, and caused more devastation than anyone expected. Our family has been to the Silsbee Wal Mart, and Brookshire Bro's numerous times after the storm made it through. Didn't always get what we wanted, but usually we could get what we really needed. Now, had I gotten on line and ordered food and water from Amazon - guess what - I wouldn't get nothing. How could they deliver? They can't. No Fed Ex, or UPS can deliver. So, we have Wal Mart, Market Basket, Brookshire Bro's, Krogers, supplying what they can, and Amazon, nothing. And they'll have their stores restocked before you'll be able to get anything from Amazon. You might want to remember that. And if you want a little icing on the cake, here it is: Wal Mart has donated $20 Million to help the victims of Harvey. The GIANT Amazon is matching up to $1 million donated on Amazon. So call me hard headed, but I can't ever imagine anyone in my family buying food from Amazon. I'll support our local Wal Marts and grocery chains for the remainder of my life. [Hidden Content]

No way to put into words the devastation, the disruption, or the cost of all this. Live here my whole 72 years (first 67 in Vidor), and never seen anything historically comparable. I saw one man from Vidor posted on FB, he'd got over 60" of rain (not official), but I've seen roads houses flooded that I'd bet my life would've never flooded. What adds to Vidor's problem, there's hardly a way to get in there. Until this water goes down some, a lot of folks in Vidor, and a lot of other places, will be suffering. Again, prayers out to all.
-
And doesn't that say a lot of good things about Texans! What really says volumes, all the people helping people, and the folks coming down to help, or sending supplies down. With our electricity off and water well not working, we needed more drinking water. Went down to EVFD and they had stacks of all kinds of supplies, including drinking water folks had brought down. To all those able to help in anyway, thank you, and God Bless.

And many of our public school teachers are encouraging (teaching?) students to believing in these Bolsheviks/Nazis/terrorist. [Hidden Content]

Quote/Edit malfunction. Stupid computers.

A welcome addition. I'm hoping they put him in charge of A.

Look Hoops, I'll admit I'm old and set in my ways, but not so much that new evidence can't change my mind. That said, I've had a recent epiphany that there may be some truth to what your saying. My electricity went off at 8:30 last night and is still off. So until I get electricity back, as The Monkees said, I'm a believer.

[Hidden Content] Great item to add to your bucket list.

[Hidden Content] Don't ever think the KKK has a monopoly on hate. There's Dylann Roof (a dispicable pos) and now you can add Fredrick Devon Scott. I wish everyone was as sick of it as I am.

Wow, big win for the Lady Rebels.

[Hidden Content] Dianne Feinstein was at a sold out (850 people) meeting in SF, and at the end, when impeachment came up, she said, "Expect Trump to serve out all 4 years of his term. The question is whether he can learn and change, if so, I believe he can be a good president". When I read that, I probably came as close to cardiac arrest as ever in my life (It's the big one Elizabeth). Is she extending a hand across the aisle? Dianne? History doesn't support that, although I'd wish it were so. So what's up? I can only guess that A) she thinks what Trumps doing is going to gain tremendous favor with the American people, or, it's part of some nefarious plot. Sure hope it's "A".

I'm with you big buddy. Here's the reasons to do that: 1- Most FBI folks are fairly intelligent. 2- They have access to the long list of folks that have died around the Clintons, and inside knowledge of those deaths not available to the public. 3- Evidently, none of the people that makes these decisions want to die. It's as simple as that.

Forget politics for a few minutes. I'm praying for everyone on the coast of Texas affected by this storm. Many of our fellow posters have had their homes flooded, and most of what they own destroyed. My deepest sympathies for all. We need to pull together. We're not Dems or Repubs right now, we're Texans.
-
Ditto on the prayers. Today has been the worse rain in Evadale by far.
-
Saw a man on MSM saying, "Yes it'll cost Texas, but everyone else needs to be aware it'll cost us also, with all the rigs, and refinery's shutting down. When Texas has a cough, the rest of the nation catches the flu". For the tweeters on that link, stick that information where the sun don't shine.

By all means Impeach him. The reason, he doesn't Suffer fools or tolerate incompetence, and DC is full of both.

The Antifa War Cry being chanted at the Berkeley attack: No Trump, no wall, no USA at all. For those of you who had doubts about their agenda, or the few that thought they were just good people attacking bad, pay close attention to that War Cry. These Loons aren't anti fascist, they're Bolsheviks (see Russian Revolution of 1905). And for you folks that want to tear down statues because the people they represent were traitors - if you really believe that, you should be against Antifa, because based on their chant, they're traitors.
