And wowsy! Anyone else wonder what they were logging into? This’ll take some getting use to, lol. Most of us rarely get to know famous people. I know a few infamous ones like @TxHoops, lol. About the only famous person I knew was Johnny Preston (Courville) who sang the 1959 #1 hit for 3 weeks, Running Bear. It was written by the Big Bopper who was from Beaumont. Johnny was from Pt. Arthur. I was working at a local Plant & we had Union construction workers, and at the time (labout 1970) Johnny was with Pipefitters local 195. He was a great guy and had a beautiful voice. While performing at a local club he sang RB & dedicated it to my wife. We had a great time. He passed away in 2011 of heart failure. When folks talk of PA, invariably Janice Joplin, who, in my humble opinion, had no singing ability whatsoever, comes up. Me, I’d rather think of Johnny. RIP old buddy.

Severe articles yesterday about Manchin voting No on this insanity. Today this reported he hasn’t decided yet. What’s up? Manchin wants to avoid all the Dem attacks between now and when this insane Bill comes to the floor? He wants the spotlight on himself, because Libs & Cons will be trying to get him on their side? The deal is this, if he votes for the Bill, he can kiss his Senate seat goodbye. As a Dem in a very red State, he’s on shaky ground. Quite possibly the very future of America is in his hands. Sorry, I was referring to all the oil in our ground, not the minuscule amount in the Strategic Oil Reserve. While just looking, they’ve dropped estimated oil in Alaska by 90% - was 10.6 barrels, now 900 million. Big drop which I take with a grain of salt. To add to the confusion, I read that our total oil is 40 billion barrels, and just saw another article that says there’s 92 billion barrels in the Permian Basis. So the actual numbers is anybody’s guess.

The US has possibly the most oil reserves of any country. Certainly enough to power America for over a century, yet we’re begging, yes, begging, others for oil. Open the pipelines. Release the US oil companies. Return the US to the leading producer. And then…… Gas and diesel prices plummet. Prices of everything plummet because delivery is significantly cheaper. Inflation is stifled. If a senile old man in SETX can figure it out, surely all the smart people in DC can? Oh wait, those “smart” people are the same ones who think men can get pregnant. That climate change is the biggest threat to the U.S. Houston, we have a problem. Either those folks aren’t smart, or the definition of smart has changed. It’s a head scratcher that’s for sure.

Got a weird deal so I wanted to ask if any of you seen anything like this. Our cat, Maise, about 50-50 indoor/outdoor was out and seemed afraid to come in. After wife called her while she was hunched down on ground, looking at porch, she finally came running in. Now she won’t go out. Goes to door, sniffing, and is skittish about every noise. About a month ago, our daughters cat (they live right next to us) quit going outside. Was like that about 3 weeks. Now goes out but stays close to front door. Never seen a cat do this before. Ours appears scared to death. Anyone seen this before?

I hope everyone realizes, I’m not just making a political statement. I’m serious about choosing sides. I know 3rd Party affiliation are somewhat useless at picking a candidate to be elected, but if someone just can’t stomach the Republican Agenda, they might consider voting one of the 3rd Party Candidates. If the Republicans were exhibiting an anti-Christian agenda like the Dems are, that’s what I’d have to do. Myself, it’d be the Libertarian Party. Worst comes to worst, I’d write in someone. Once, before most of you were born, for one position that I couldn’t stomach either candidate, I wrote in Alfred E. Newman. Just me or does anyone else think it’s impossible to follow Christianity and be a Democrat? Keep in mind they Boo’ed God at the 2012 Democratic Convention. It’s not rocket science. At the very least, I think anyone supporting the Democrats are putting their souls in a very precarious position.
