I'm not referring to a Civil War new tobie, I'm referring to the tragedy in Charlottesville. I'm sickened at the hate in this country. I'm disgusted and concerned of who/why it's being perpetrated. I'd bet my life the Antifa Fascist are not just an extemporaneous hate group that popped up, but a financed group designed to divide our country.

Christopher Columbus statue vandalized in Houston last night

Columbus did nothing? He opened the "New World" to Europe, and thus started the colonization of America. Sounds like he did a lot to me. -

I was surprised at that to. When I did my initial post on here, there were only three, yet Belleville at Navasoto had 53 post. And it's not just Ned, because I've seen very few post from the Vidor fans. Haven't seen King Rob on here yet. Is it just to hot for folks to think about football? Maybe things will pickup soon. But kudos to these few Ned fans still backing their team on the Forum. -

I can assure you, in all honesty, the couple of Confederate statues I've seen, slavery never, ever, entered my mind. But I guess that's not the point. But your post reminds me of an article I read about the statues in New Orleans several months ago before statue destruction became a big deal. Very few in NO could've cared less. Then outsiders come in and stir the poo. I'd bet now, it's important to many of those asked earlier. Conversely, you end up with some folks on the right, who previously wouldn't have gone postal about a statue, joining crazy racist groups. Imo, many join who aren't racist or Nazis, they just see them as the only ones who'll stand up to the destructors. I can only guess that the folks who stirred up the poo, did so for a reason. What the reason may be, would probably concern you and I both. But since we're just discussing, I'll tell you, I'm at a loss to understand so many things going on. To much hate. -

I don't doubt that. Good tradition and a lot of returning starters. Go get'em Wolves. -
You really want to deter the idiots? Statues & flags don't make idiots. Indoctrination makes idiots- right & left idiots. Whether they get it in a classroom or off the internet. Actually, though I have no proof, I bet Antifa Fascist have swollen the ranks of the KKK & Neo Nazis. Blood will flow, especially in the blue states. Jmo

Good point Mr. Ump. I'm thinking a rarity, but it happens.

Still early, but indicates what I thought. Think the Tigers will roll. -
Even the other democrats are calling for her resignation. Frankly, I hope the Secret Service comes down on her.

Christopher Columbus statue vandalized in Houston last night

Spearheaded, and I'm not sure how they mean that, but if you click on it, you find that the first transatlantic slave ship to the Americas was by the Portuguese in 1529, 23 years after Columbus' death. And a sincere note, take with a grain of salt anything you google, cause anything is liable to come up. My (limited) experience has shown me that Wikipedia is one of the more reliable sites, although I've seen some make fun of it. -

Hagar replied to team first's topic in Political Forum
Well, that explains it - except he died in 1506 and the first slaves were not brought to the Americas until 1619. And Wikipedia didn't mention him as a slave trader. Nice try though. -
[Hidden Content] Cant wait to see this in the MSM. Hehehehe, but I ain't a gonna hold my breath.

Okay, that was kinda funny.

I wonder if whoever did it thought Columbus was a Confederate General? I suspect they did. Shows the mental capacity of these Loons. -
After looking at Katy's new stadium, I realize I am a dinosaur.

Unbelievable and awesome.

It is amazing to me that so many smaller districts can afford "turf". Maybe private donors help? Maybe it's cheaper than it use to be? Echo - amazing. No knocking it. Good for those that have it.

But The Most Inportant Thing Is The Fake Trump/Russia Collusion!

Sad but true. Just another thing, in the long list of things, that I no longer understand. -
But The Most Inportant Thing Is The Fake Trump/Russia Collusion!
Hagar replied to Reagan's topic in Political Forum
Great point. And according to Wikipedia, there have been 10 vehicular attacks in 2016 & 17 alone. What bothers me, even though it's so blatantly biased, to many on the left believe every word that comes out of CNN, no matter how ridiculous. -
Good point. Not only good, but has validity. I remember reading that whoever hacked the DNC had tried to hack the RNC also, but couldn't get in their system. And Rupert Murdoch started Fox News and made gazillions. It's business/capitalism 101 - find a need/void and fill it. Unfortunately, I'm to computer challenged to do that lol. I will compete with anyone on writing on cave walls with charcoal

I would beg and plead with liberals on this forum to read this article. This is bias information being perpetrated by CNN's Blitzer. Muslims have used these types of attacks numerous times. Did the idiot in Charlottesville copycat the Muslim attacks? Quite possibly, but to associate the attack in Barcelona with what happened in Charlottesville is biased, irresponsible journalism. He should be fired. -
That was my thought. And you can find every type of perversion and filth on the Internet. I'd be willing to bet you that 90% of Americans couldn't name three CSA Generals. And as Col. West pointed out, if a statue, or name, makes you feel oppressed, you've got bigger problems.

Wow, my memory span is short. This insanity started with the Confederate battle flag. As I remember, that was predominantly a black American complaint, and was successful. Meanwhile Antifa was pummeling Trump supporters. Trump wins, so the fascist looked for another area to attack and divide America. Again, jmo, but Antifa's attacks on these statues, has nothing whatsoever to do with the statues themselves. They're a mob of anarchists who have been emboldened by the MSM & Leftist politicians and feed off their success to attack whom ever they choose with impunity. In my post above, I questioned, where will it end. According to this link, there are some boundaries. We'll see. [Hidden Content] Gettysburg is ran by the National Park Service. I'm guessing it's ran via taxpayer dollars. What would make a statue there any more sacred than a statue in Charlottesville, unless the people of Charlottesville voted to have it removed. I doubt anything is sacred to Antifa except the golden calf.
