Food stamp rolls plummet in states that restore work requirements

Lmbo, they're to busy analyzing last nights tweet. -
.....and you Dems are trying to wreck it. Well said LRF. I said before the election that AHCA was the 600 pound gorilla. Imo, it needs to be "killed". To anyone that has any free thought left, and there aren't that many, the AHCA is a misnomer. First, it's not affordable - anyone could've bought Health Insurance prior to it, but most didn't. Why? Couldn't afford it - well people, the Govt can't either. Second, and here's the real tricky part that most fell far, it's not about healthcare, it's about power, and enslavement. Should've been called AEA, the American Enslavement Act. It's merely a first step to single payer healthcare, and then they have you. Once this is accomplished, and the Govt says, Eating ice cream is not allowed, you stop eating ice cream, or you no longer have healthcare -none - nada. No emergency room. No doctor. You're life is forever linked to what our Govt demands, just as the slaves of old were under the thumb of their owners. The baby taken off life support in England, against the parents wishes is a prime example. They'll save who they want, and the rest can die. Do you think they'd done that to a great grandson of the Queen? Another conundrum, the Repubs can't "kill" it. They'd be vilified. Dems would regain power, and force SP on us all. So here I sit, wasting GB's, either preaching to the choir, or to a group of people that don't grasp the concept of what's happening. If it wasn't so sad, I'd be laughing.

[Hidden Content] The hard truth folks, when you're passing out Govt money for research via grants, the results you're getting are not worth the paper they're printed on. If the Fed Govt gave me $500,000 a year to say Eskimo Pies are bad for you, I'd have to just keep researching and showing that them durn Eskimo Pies will kill you deader than a hammer. They're not doing research, they're making money - they're bought. Doesn't matter. Air particulates, man made global warming, Eskimo Pies, all same-o same-o. I'm reminded of the egg conundrum. Eggs bad for you - Eggs good for you. Guess it all depends on who's paying them researchers to test them eggs. There may be MMGW, and Eggs are probably okay in moderation, and I have to believe that Eskimo Pies are good for you. But I'll not take the word of someone getting Govt Grant money.

Grilled some ribeyes, beef short ribs, and sausage, listening to Neil Diamond singing Red Red Wine, and Doug Stone, Her Memories Only 14 Minutes Old. Then, I ate to much. But it was a good day and I hope everyone had a good one.

Best as I can tell, there's several others being exposed, the NYT for one. We keep hearing Trump is embarrassing, in the opinion of some. What concerns me most, our MSM, which is designed to be the watchdog of our democracy, is now nothing more than tabloids. About 20 or 25 years ago, most normal people wouldn't think of picking up a National Enquirer at the checkout stand. It was barely suitable for outhouse material. Imo, that's what our MSM has turned into.

Shame on me. I love info like this. [Hidden Content]

[Hidden Content] The article calls them errors, most of us refer to it as fake news. It's understandable to make errors on local small news items, but when publishing a story about the president of the US, you should verify the facts. Unfortunately, they're so anxious to slam Trump, they're continually ending up with egg on their face.

Best as I can tell, he does know how to work the media. I wasn't sure at first, but I think we have enough proof now. I was discussing this with a liberal this morning, and shortly after that I watched the CBS News I had recorded from Monday. First story - yep, Trump's tweets. Not healthcare. Not N. Korea. Irrelevant and immaterial, let's start with what Trump tweeted. The media is like a deer in the headlights over these tweets.

Interesting that you brought race into it. I said nothing about race - black, brown or white. While I did say gang shootings, you automatically thot blacks. Are you secretly a white racist? There are many gang members that aren't black. Do you think every gang member is black? What do you put down blacks like that? Have you ever heard of MS-13, or the Hells Angels? Smdh......

Nice try nt, but no cigar. Healthcare and health are two different things entirely. We have the best hospitals and Doctors in the world. Hands down, no comparison. Health has to do more with diets and activity (and DNA). I'd also suggest that thousands of young gang members getting killed every year brings are national life expectancy down significantly. One more point I'll make, those European Healthcare systems are going broke due to the large number of immigrants allowed into those countries. Immigrants who don't assimilate. Don't work, and live off the welfare systems. The financial burden will eventually cause their systems to be changed, or break the Govt. And in this country, with less than 50% of our citizens working, we face the same problem.

I'd be curious to know what you would do if you were president? As baddog pointed out, there's a lot at stake here. NK is not only allies with China, but borders China. If we nuke NK, there's a good chance nuclear fallout could affect China. Any conventional strike could get us in a war with China, and they have 2,335,000 in their military, while we have 1,400,000. So getting in a war with China is the last thing we want to do. I'd also be surprised (shocked) if you were given a map of the world with no names on the countries, if you could identify North Korea.

[Hidden Content] I don't think this is a joke. Well, it is a joke, but a literal one. The parents must be Whackos.

I suspect that there's very few people who don't have an ID. I've been voting since 1968 and I've been ask for my ID every time. And those that don't have an ID, can get one if they want to vote. Anyone that post here have a problem with voter ID? Anyone think it's racist?
-
Since voter ID laws are racist, is an ID required for a flight racist? Or the ID required to get in the Democratic convention racist? Or the ID required to vote in a union election racist? I bet any black or white in America that got an all expenses paid trip to the Democratic convention would get an ID so they could attend. So if you want to vote, get a freaking ID. It ain't Rocket Science.

Someone held accountable because she was so irresponsible to have 15 kids with no way to support them? Jmo - take her children away from her and have her tubes tied. If you're a slave to welfare, there needs to be consequences. This woman is a prime example of a product of The Great Society. That program has made slaves of more people that any plantation owner. As will Social Security and Medicaid, and if we ever come under Single Payer Healthcare, they'll have all but the very rich. For the few of you who don't understand, merely look at how they manipulate our schools and even a little thing like requiring a 55 mph speed limit. Bottom line, if they say frog, you jump, or loose any benefits.

The irony of it all. The left has gotten a glimpse of the monster they've created. Perhaps they should have studied this quote from Sue Grafton: "Beware the dark pool at the bottom of our hearts. It its icy black depths dwell strange and twisted creatures it's best not to disturb. Most on the left perceived these creatures were to combat the right, but now they've found that once loosed upon society, they'll devour anyone that doesn't agree 100% with their socialist ideals. Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, will all become targets of these anarchist.

I'd think that if those students were able to Ref, they could do Jr Hi & perhaps small schools JV, and relieve the grind. Also, it's probable that some may get interested, and continue to participate after graduation. The politics part is inevitable. From T-Ball to Senior Clubs. From Church clubs to beer drinking clubs. Get 3 people together, one will be politicking. It's a human flaw.

CNN's response: It's a sad day when the president of the United States encourages violence against reporters. My response to CNN: It's a sad day when the mainstream media uses fake news to incite violence against the president of the United States, and all citizens that don't kowtow to the lockstep insanity of the left.

Texas Supreme Court Ruling on Same Sex Marriage Benefits
Hagar replied to TxHoops's topic in Political Forum
I'm probably as informed about politics as the average voter, and I'll admit that once I get passed the congressional nominees, I rarely have a clue on judges, or any other offices. I do remember in my younger days for State Treasurer, I always voted on Jesse James, but that was a no-brainer with that name. He served from 1941 until his death in 1977. -

Based on the pictures I saw, the goat was the prettiest female there. And the guys were so ugly, I doubt the "romp" was consensual. -
The difference is, your 15 year old only attempts to get under your skin, but he can't do it. I'm still of the opinion that Trump makes these childish statements to get under the media's skin, and he does. He can make a 2AM tweet, then attack Canada, and the media wouldn't even realize it. They're to busy writing about his tweets. At least, that's what I hope he's doing.

To ease your burden of sounding like Nash, just be aware that for most, with age comes some wisdom (not to be confused with memory lol), and you're no exception.
