There is a law for threatening the president, but due to its conflict with the first amendment of free speech, it evidently is hard to enforce. Now Ted Nugent Simply made a public statement that anyone can take it or leave it. If a professor/teacher says it in a classroom full of students, it could be construed as instruction. I'm no lawyer, but if all the people that have threatened Bush, Obama, and Trump (even though he's only been president for 5 months), we'd have to build a new prison to house them all.
