CBS recently had a lady from a leftist group wanting to get some scientist to find some dirt on the pharmaceutical companies. She was complaining that the pharmaceutical co's had given lucrative grants to most of the qualified scientist, who were doing research for them. I immediately thot of Global Warming. The scientists are getting lucrative Govt grants to study Global Warming, and give them what they want to hear. Same, same.

If we were confronting a relatively normal leader, I wouldn't give it a second thought. The fact that we're confronting a despot, throws the whole thing into a different, dangerous, situation. Un is unpredictable. Are we bluffing? Depends on him. If he does the unthinkable, it's game over. I hope when it's over we'll look back on it as a bluff. Any of the other scenarios, including his army attacking S. Korea, is a nightmare.

The sad irony here, and understand this is just my opinion, if the Officer did feel his life was threatened, I'd bet he was trying to hit the driver, yet happened to hit the passenger with a fatal shot. Car swerved? Officer just made a bad shot? Doesn't matter, the young man is dead. On such relatively small things, our lives hinge.
