  1. Did you even read my post? They could have easily killed everyone of the people in that town with chemical weapons. WMD is not based on how many you kill, it's based on how many you can kill. In your definition above, capable of causing widespread death. North Korea has detonated at least 5 nuclear weapons, and no one was killed and no damage done. Still, nuclear weapons is a WMD. You only lose more credibility when you try to defend a preconceived opinion that is totally wrong, by anyone's definition.
  2. There's a big difference between being afraid and using common sense. For example, if JJ Watt and Joe Pesci were together, and Joe provoked me, I'd tie into Joe. Why in the cornbread hell would I jump on JJ Watt, even if I was also 6'5" 295 lbs? Our beef wasn't with Russia, it was with Syria (based on the info available at the time). Had the Soldiers been from Germany, they'd been warned. Based on Obama's "line in the sand" comment, and subsequent inaction, the international community has the idea that America won't react. The attack on the Syrian Airfield was proof positive we will.
  3. And here's a promising article about Gorsuch.. [Hidden Content]
  4. [Hidden Content] Does anyone else find it strange that states have a hard time finding lethal injection drugs, but we have people dying of Heroin and Fentanyl overdoses daily? That's a freakin head scratcher if I've ever heard one.
  5. Lol, durn if I know. Still trying to figure out what an airstrick is.
  6. Great story, and good move alerting the Russians at the base. It wasn't the Russians who dropped the gas. We'd rather not start a war with Russia while b-slapping Syria.
  7. If you find out let me know. You mentioned Russian jets buzzing an American ship on July 4th, but with bg, you never know. She rattles around like a ball on a roulette wheel.
  8. You do realize that the people on this Forum aren't responsible for deciding what is referred to as weapons of mass destruction? And for your edification the atomic bomb killed approximately 129,000 people, while the conventional bombing of Tokyo killed up to 200,000. As with all weapons, those used for delivering Chemical Agents are made in different strengths. There's no doubt that Syria has enough of these to easily kill everyone in NYC. Even you would have to admit that was mass destruction of human life. [Hidden Content]
  9. Heard earlier that Russia is sending a warship into the Med heading toward our two destroyers. I hope Putin has enough sense to realize he's no longer dealing with someone like Obama. Actually, I'm 98% sure he does. This is just the Russians trying to save face.
  10. Looking at the title of this thread, it takes on a whole new meaning in the last few days. With the idiot in North Korea. With the gas attack. With, as I just heard, Russia sending a warship into the Med heading for the two American ships that fired the cruise missiles. But we'll discuss all this on another thread. For this discussion, something just dawned on me. It's something we all realize, but perhaps like me, many of you haven't thought about it either. This action is necessary to maintain the SCOTUS as we know it. If the Dems don't approve of Gorsuch, can you visualize any justice to be nominated by Trump that would meet their approval? And once the Dems are in power, the Repubs wouldn't approve any of theirs. Neither, never. So without this nuclear option, the number of justices would dwindle down until one party finally gets 60 Senators, which is probably many years from now. So if the SCOTUS is to maintain 9 members, this is not a nuclear option, it's the only option.
  11. Excellent post, and point.
  12. It's quite possible that this Dept had an over abundance of liberal art majors. Their expertise is in giving, if it's someone else's. They're not trained in math. No doubt they could write a dissertation on the follies of capitalism, but accounting for other people's money is far to mundane.
  13. And the moral of the story Big Girl, is 1- There's not a single Democrat politician that knows anything about economics, or 2- They do know and their intention is to ruin America financially. Imo, it's 2. Whatever direction they can take to do so, be it thru finance, judicially, morality, it doesn't matter. If (when) they bring America to its knees, we'll be the crown jewel in the new one world government. Jmo. PS: Feel free to laugh at this. I use to laugh at it to until I started seeing the evidence piling up.
  14. O'Reilly charged with sexual harassment. As Englebert said, the facts aren't in. One other thing, O'Reilly is 67. Like me, he grew up in an era when it was polite to tell a lady she looked nice. Heck, that'll get you a charge nowadays. I'm not saying he's totally innocent, just pointing out how society has changed, and sometimes old folks might slip. I never had a charge against me, but then I don't have millions of dollars. I'd bet many of the lawsuits were goldiggers looking for some quick cash. All off them? I don't know. I know Fox let Roger Aires go for charges. I think they'll let Bill go if the charges are valid.
  15. At Deweyville this afternoon. 21 Teams lol. There's not this many kids at the Fair.
  16. I'll admit it's sad it's come to this. The Dems in recent times have blocked two that I know of. Miguel Estrada and Robert Bork. I can't think of any the Repubs have blocked. Other than the lame duck, which the Dems did also.
  17. No, but the Dem politicians can't compromise if the DNC puts it foot down, which is what happened with Gorsuch, and has been going on since the Far Left took over the party. When you have a major party boo God at their convention, it doesn't take a genius to know how far left they are. And yes, when the Dems get back in power, they'll have this too. But, imo, they'd used it anyway. I just pray Trump has a good 4 years and gets re-elected.
  18. [Hidden Content] I have a hard time believing Assad did this. Since Tillerson & Trump had just came out and said the US had no quarrel with Assad, which was a coup for him, why would he turn the whole world against him by a meaningless gas attack? Any reasonable person should ask themselves why would he do that. Makes no sense. Maybe the air strike hit a stockpile of nerve gas? So what else? Who gets any advantage? Virtually all of Europe, and many powerful Americans hate Trump, and this discredits him & his administration. Isis released the gas after the attack? The name of the Link below doesn't sound reputable, but it does pose some interesting scenarios. The bottom line, this attack doesn't pass the smell test. If not Assad, who? [Hidden Content]
  19. What do we know? Bill Clinton spends a lot of time with a billionaire democratic pedophile, flying out to his private island (doesn't that sound suspicious). And while investigating Hillary's E-mailgate, they found out democrat Anthony Weiner was a pedophile. How far does this go? Imo, even one is to far, but I'd bet this goes a lot deeper.
  20. Heaven forbid that on the fence liberals be exposed to any conservative thought.
  21. You know big buddy, I'd guess I've seen at least ten post from the left today, and I can't remember any on thread topic yet. It's another one of life's mysteries for me to ponder.

  23. I certainly understand the point you're making. When I was working there were several reasons you could be tested for drugs or alcohol. Had 3 or 4, just from our small plant, that worked from home. I use to wonder if they were drinking cold beer while doing their work, while I was stuck with Red Bulls lol.
  24. Amen pirate. I almost choked on my Eskimo Pie when I heard the kid who hit the official in the back was playing again.
