No bs, that's what I don't understand about the liberal mind. This is an initial reaction to less big govt, but the far left refuses to accept it. I don't like the Dem Party, or Obama, but if the country had prospered, I'd grudgingly gave them an attaboy. Bill, with the help of a Repub Congress did pretty good. I've admitted that. But very few on the left will acknowledge Repub success, even as they, and the country, benefit from it. I can't understand or explain that.

And this from CNBC. I know our liberal friends will hate to see this. [Hidden Content]

Come on westend, you know there are things even the president and Congress can't do, and are not privy to. If you don't believe that, check out how many presidents and senators have been stonewalled when asking about Area 51 (for whatever reason). And Based on what I've read, FISA approvals are not subject to release, unless possibly by a court order. Despite what some may think, the President is not a God, or King, but merely one of our three branches of Govt.

Yep, one side gunless, the other side gutless (and brainless).

I don't know about that nappy, Obama took care of Iran. I expect Trump to load a pallet full of $100 bills and bring it to Evadale any day now. I promised him we wouldn't build a nuclear weapon at the paper mill

After reading through this thread, I think there are a couple of ignorant post above. And an appalling lack of knowledge about how our previous president handled things.

republicans & trump just screwed 22,600 retired coal workers
Hagar replied to Kountzer's topic in Political Forum
Profound post Tigers, and this is happening all the time. About a week ago, CBS News was talking about Trump deporting people and then show a detention center that some women and kids had been in eight months. And the implication was, it was all Trumps fault. Btw, the detention center was fenced, but the lawn was manicured and everybody looked well fed, so it's better than a lot of Americans have to live in. -
As always.

Do you believe it's that hard to get one? Even if you're the Attorney General? Do you believe that article? Because it said Trumps phone hadn't been tapped. The NYT said they had been tapped. Does that tell you anything? Somebody is printing poo. Get wise BG. The left is playing all of us for fools.

Jury: Agency at fault for woman poisoned using oven as dryer
Hagar replied to LumRaiderFan's topic in The Locker Room
Though called for duty many times, only served on one that went all the way to decision time. It ruined my opinion of our justice system, although I'm at a loss on how to improve it. Probably 35 years ago, was a small civil trial over $1500 (about $5,000 now). Between In-laws, a mother/father sued by son or daughter & spouse. Essentially, a "we said, they said" case. Foreman of jury fairly charismatic, and for the Plantiff (younger couple). Jury split about 50-50 after discussing. Foreman wants a vote (show of hands). Initially, six hands went up, and as those six looked around, other hands started going up, like dominoes falling. After about 15-20 seconds of this stare down, only me & the guy next to me, who he & I had been adamantly with the old folks, hadn't raised our hands. What killed my faith in the system, he raised his hand, and all 11 are looking at me. Told them they might as well put their hands down, I'm not raising mine. Since it was a Civil case, it only took 10 juries to reach a verdict, so we went back and reported our vote. I know there are followers that'll just go along with the crowd, but when this guy who was with me all the way raised his hand, I knew how flawed the system was, in my mind. Was it just me? Maybe I'm the flawed one. Had everyone been against me in the discussion phase, even I'd think that. In summary, had the foreman been with me, & the first vote been for the old folks, I'd bet a nice chunk of change, we'd had a unanimous verdict for them. After court was dismissed, I stopped and talk to a friend who was (I think) Asst DA of Orange County. The winning lawyer came up grinning like a champ (and he was by far the best lawyer of the two). My friend introduced us, and I congratulated him on winning. He said, By the way, which juror was out? I said it was me. He grinned even bigger lol. Such is our jury system. -
How did I miss this? To much politics, which is giving me ulcers. Interesting enough, my son told me he gave up watching news for lint. That's probably a healthy choice. I couldn't get it to show up, but in all honesty, if I knew nothing about the person (as you said, a stranger) I'd save the person. To me, a no brainer. Additionally I'll add, if I knew the person, and say it was El Chapo, a man responsible for killing hundreds, if not thousands, many innocent, I probably go after my dog

Unusual, for there's another event. This one from the ISS (International Space Station), which conveniently cuts its feed every time something like this shows up. Appears to be a giant mothership, as they say in the Sci Fi classics. [Hidden Content]

Okay, so I lose some credibility being a believer in UFO's. It's okay because the math is on my side. According to scientist (not them bought off GWarming types) there are more stars in the universe than grains of sand in all the worlds beaches. Think about that. That's a number so great, it'd take you 10 years to put all the 000's in it (if then). Simple math will tell you odds are there are more advanced civilizations than us. Matter of fact, I'd hate to think we're at the top, because we're not exemplary. So this is a good thread to put all these good sightings. And you non-believers check in ever so often. You might learn something, or at least get a good laugh. This is a good one, because I don't ever remember seeing something like this before. There are multiple witnesses which adds credence to the sighting/pictures. From El Paso - Weird. [Hidden Content]

Old Ronald was right again.

Me too! Sadly, not that many willing to sacrifice for it. But it's fun to visualize how crowded I-10 would be on the east bound side around here, with all the freeloaders heading out.

Interesting read.

Was that "Sucker" a Sunni or Shia? Are did we ever find out?

Like it, love it, hate it, doesn't matter. Once out of the bottle, you'll never get it back in. Thanks to the Democrats (and those that wish the downfall of America), the Ship of State shall forevermore sail with this anchor impeding our progress, in some shape, form, or fashion.

Before my time, but there are some tall folks around here. I'd say out of the 15 on varsity at the start of the year, our shortest was 5'11" & tallest was 6'3". As a 2A team, fairly tall, but don't have the tall post. Good bunch of young men though. Expect we'll be pretty fair again next year.
-
Lol, yep, we could use quite a bit in Evadale. Have to get one of our players to stand on another ones shoulders to get 6'7" Probably the same thing they use in Silsbee.
-
Good dadgum. A 1A with a 6'5" & two 6'7"? What do they fertilize them boys with?

As understand it, a six pack of beer is cheaper that some colas and energy drinks.
