Have never used mj, and been against it all my life, but I'm ready to legalize it. It's obvious that we can't win the war on drugs. Isn't going to happen, just like prohibition. I think the one good is that it might keep some from going to harder drugs. Had a childhood friend who got on hard stuff. Ask him Why? He said he started on weed, then dealer said he didn't have any weed, but he had these pills. Can I say for sure it'll be a deterrent to harder drugs? No, but I can say for sure we can't stop its use, plus we spend untold millions trying to police it and locking up those using it. And from what I'm told, it doesn't affect most anymore than alcohol. All I can say is, Uncle. Legalize and tax it.

As I've stated before, we watch the CBS News every evening. I guess since we're entering the basketball playoffs, it's appropriate to say, the Left is in a full court press. I was in awe as I sit through that tirade against Trump, Republicans, and the deplorables. They ended the indoctrination with a Global Warming story. In fairness, they spent about 2 minutes talking about whoever leaked the information was breaking the law, but they countered with a left wing loon saying whoever leaked it was a patriot. I'd give it an 85 on a 0-90 degree slanted left scale lol.

Since I know very little of the law, I have a question. Are virtually all our laws based on the Constitution (the rare exception being safety, i.e. Hollering fire in a theater when there is none)? That has been my understanding, although I could be wrong. I spent about ten minutes researching Federal Judges that have been impeached. Just glancing through, everyone I read about was impeached for taking money, or outright bribes. It appears that being competent is not a requirement once you reach this position. Weird. So in my feeble brain, here's what I see: To conservatives, The Constitution, as written, is the law of the land. Liberals want to interpret it to fit modern society. The liberal interpretation is a slippery slope imco.

Compared to most on here, I'm a basketball rookie. The one that is totally out of my comprehension is the player with the ball on the floor. I don't know the exact rule, and I see no consistency in the calls. Some seem to move a lot & get no call, others barely move & get called. Is there a short, clear, explanation?

If you are referring to The fact the 9th Circuit Court has an 80% overturn rate by the SCOTUS, I wouldn't refer to that as a "knee jerk" reaction for impeachment. I'd think it was a prudent move based on incompetence. But alas, I'm far from an attorney, and I regret to say that it will never happen anyway. Btw, I do agree with Bullets that an individual obscure Judge should not be able to dictate what our President may, or may not do. Our three branches of Govt have served us well, in balance. Jmo, but the judicial branch has now usurped power from the President and Congress.
