  1. We agree 100% there’s an agenda. And silly me, I thought the 2nd Amendment to be relatively iron clad. What do I read this morning? MSNBC has a column arguing there is no Constitutional right to own a gun. No doubt the Left will now focus on overturning DC vs Heller (2008) to 1- get rid of guns, and 2- payback for the potential overturning of Roe vs Wade. What scares/concerns me most, Imo this goes way passed simply politics. [Hidden Content]
  2. Not sure I can be identified as a “wise man”, but I appreciate your post.
  3. The Uvalde shooting has created quite a bit of discussion. Most of it uselessly blaming/defending guns. Why uselessly? Second Amendment cements gun ownership. The unique words in that Amendment, “shall not be infringed” ensures gun ownership. Banning certain type guns is useless. As tvc184 pointed out, in a situation like Uvalde a 9mm Glock would be a better weapon, so banning “assault” weapons (whatever your description of one is) would have no effect. And one of the worst shootings, at West Virginia, one of the main weapons was a .22 pistol. Imo, based on facts/history, the problem is society not guns. The societal changes took years to create and would take years to correct if society was so inclined. To put it simply, our current situation has two choices - we take away our freedoms and make our country safe via a Police State, or keep our freedoms and have the inevitable dangers associated with them. These are just the opinions of an old man rattling. I hope most of you can keep yours on the Political Thread. But if you see a glaring error in my post, please point them out to all of us.

  5. And since you seem to be all knowing, where did he get all that money?
  6. After reading your post you think I’m going off the deep end? That’s funny. Tell me while you wade around the shallow end - point out one fallacy in my post. I stated facts and freely admitted the other parts are simply theories/possibilities. Is it your opinion that we should simply disregard the possibility that there’s more here than meets the eye, simply because it sounds absurd? How about 3-4 years of having Trump/Russian Collusion stuck in our faces? Has to be true because Hillary says so - the intelligence community says so - the Media says so - can’t possibly be made up - it’s absurd - you’ve gone off the deep end.
  7. Again imo this is not a gun problem. It’s a people problem initiated by idiots like Dr. Spock in the 50’s. And over the years - the steady move away from Christianity, and thus morals. Cheapening of life via abortion. Decline of the family, and on and on and on. Everyone wants an instant fix. I’ve read through all the post and don’t see one. See some that may/should help somewhat, but not a fix. Why? It took 30 to 40 years to dig this hole we’ve found ourselves in. A real fix will probably take an equally long time, and would require societal changes that aren’t going to happen. So what’s my point? Point is, we get on here and we want to blame each other for opposing stances, which divides us even more. Big win for the Great Divider in Chief and his parties agenda. And speaking of him/them, I wonder how many unanswered questions will be left out there after this investigation? We still have unanswered questions about the Las Vegas shooter. The recent Buffalo shooter had allegedly been in contact with a retired FBI agent (wow, if that isn’t a Conspiracy Theorist dream). And I’ll repeat my question I ask right after the shooting, “Where does an 18 year old, from a broken home, get the money to buy High Dollar Weapons and enough Ammunition to last most people a lifetime? I originally ask it simply out of curiosity. Now I’m looking at it from a Conspiracy Theory angle. How convenient for Biden & the Democrats, with everything going in the toilet, to have these two shootings to take the focal point away from them? All just a coincidence? I wonder.
  8. Remember the documentary show Doomsdayers (I forget the real name). Anyway they spent a lot of time talking about storing food & supplies. I’ve heard many joking about it. Might have done so myself but……now with all the shortages, should we all be doing it? I think so. I won’t but I should. I can see it coming. Gas/diesel shortages - meat/food shortages - energy (electricity) outages. We already often see empty shelves. We’re not far from the Doomsday scenario now. Anyway, something to think about folks. Don’t ignore it out of hand.
  9. And that’s the problem. We sit around discussing guns and it’s obvious, to a few of us at least, that it’s not a gun problem, it’s a people problem. I could list a plethora of reasons, not the least of which is Dr. Spock’s infamous book, “The Common Book of Baby and Child Care”. This idiot turned parents into “would be psychologists”, raising children without physical discipline. The old saying, spare the Rod and spoil the child, was shelved for verbal chastisement and ‘time out’. Probably our first step into wokeism 🐂💩. Then add the decline of Christianity (morals), prayer out of school, lack of corporal punishment in schools, disintegration of the family, etc, etc, etc. Again, I go back to the weight scales. You keep taking from the good side (the side that had been working fairly good) and adding it to the bad side, it didn’t take long to create chaos. Guns the problem? Lay that rifle/pistol down and see how many people it kills. Guy wants to kill, he’ll find a way - no gun - no problem. He’ll get a knife, machete, baseball bat, whatever. No folks, it’s a people problem.
  10. Best place to start, bring back (build) the Insane Asylums (see my recent post on Asylums). Virtually all of these mass shooters are deemed mentally disturbed. Unfortunately either the meds aren’t working or the Loons are taking their meds. I don’t like the idea of asylums, but I don’t see where society has a choice.
  11. Interesting post here from Smoaky. Apparently in 2018 two Middle School kids in Uvalde were investigated for threatening a mass shooting. One was 13 & one 14. That would make them Seniors about now. [Hidden Content]
  12. A big contributing factor, the closing of State Psychiatric Hospitals. At one point in the 50’s there were more than half a million Americans confined to these Hospitals/Asylums (at great cost). Now there are about 37,000 beds assigned for short term, acute in-patient units in general medical hospitals. From the article - “The mass closure of State Mental Hospitals in the US coincided with the advent and popularity of neuroleptic medications, the patient rights movement, and the well intentioned, but poorly delivered, National transition towards community-based mental health care.” IMO, the politicians saw a way to save buku money, and I think we’re seeing the cost. Population in the 50’s avg about 170,000, about half of what it is now, and half a million were in Asylums. The math says we should have close to a million in Asylums now, but they’re not. They’re on the streets. In the schools. The meds aren’t working & the result is the insanity we see in America today. Would the building of these Asylums stop all the crazies? Of corse not, but it would stop much of it. At this point, I’d bet it’s the most significant answer to our problem. Jmo [Hidden Content]
  13. And let’s talk money. Drives a relatively nice truck. Has enough money to buy an AR-15 (or reasonable facsimile), a pistol and buku ammunition. Evidently someone was subsidizing his expenditures. More puzzle pieces.
  14. I got the impression he thought you were in cahoots with them 😂😂🤣👽🤣😂😂
  15. Saw them interviewing a boy in class. Had a table with a cover on it. He got his friend to crawl under with him & they hid there. Kudos to that young fellow.
  16. I notice several post referring to “value of life cheapened”. I mentioned it in my last post. Rush, and others, kept saying that abortion would do that. And I’ll repeat my reaction at the time, an eye-roll. Well my eyes are no longer rolling. I’m embarrassed at how wrong I was back then, and sad at how right Rush & others were. And Gayle King’s responses show the utter hypocrisy of the Left.
  17. So why this exhibition of insanity? Here’s my two cents worth. I’ll run a timeline. American Christianity peaked in the 50’s (the good old days). Then leveled off for two decades before starting its decline in the late 70’s. What preceded/started the decline? As baddog pointed out, in 1962 they took prayer out of school. Then in 1973 came Roe vs Wade. I heard Rush, and others saying how abortion would cheapen life. In my ignorance I gave that an eye-roll. Now I see how right they were (and wrong I was). So with Christianity declining and life cheapen by abortion, we started our downhill trek. Many had no moral compass. We were set up for a perfect storm. All we needed, like the weather, was a trigger mechanism. Along comes Covid and the lockdown, which sent many spiraling out of control. Add to that the Far Left who can’t recognize a woman from a man - think men can get pregnant - and encourage young children to question/change their genders. Then overwhelming lawlessness in our big cities and voila, you’ve got plenty of trigger mechanisms. The result being mayhem and evil prevail. To picture it, imagine a weight scale. The plate on the right is good and the plate on the left is evil. In the 50’s the right plate is fullest and pulls down raising the left side. As the above mentioned timeline plays out, weight is taken from the right & added to the left. Now the left side is so heavy the current result is situations like Uvalde & Buffalo. That’s my opinion. You may agree or disagree, but you won’t change my mind.
  18. Abbott’s new conference, Beto interrupts and starts talking gun control. Uvalde Mayor calls him a sick sob & has an officer escort him out. What a pos.
  19. 😂😂😂🤣🤣👽🤣🤣😂😂😂 Touche, lol.
  20. I can’t begin to say how shameful it is to use this tragedy for any political purpose. Everyone should be offering condolences and attempting to help victims. Instead we have some immediately preaching gun control. How heartless. Smdh
  21. Latest Episode - one word - WOW! They brought 3 guys from the Utah Astronomical Society out with their high-dollar high-tech cameras. Travis was shooting a rocket up into the suspected anomaly over the place they refer to as The Triangle. They wanted it all recorded. Just prior to firing the rocket, the computers hooked to the camera, which were set up to record based on stars in the background, lost the stars - no longer in their computer. These computers are not online or cloud, but stand alone. How something got in and did that is virtually impossible. They finally just manually aimed them and as the rocket was fired the screens of all 3 went blank. Unbelievable. Travis then shot a military grade laser into where the anomaly was suspected to be and the beam bent & then split. To top if off a large UFO light orb appeared traveling in the sky & cattle on the ranch went spider-monkey. If you don’t watch this, you’re missing something special.
  22. Blown away? Me too, and good riddance.
  23. I won’t be surprised if some rabid Islamist who’ve crossed recently pull off some terrorist attacks. In fact, I’ll be surprised if it doesn’t happen.
  24. I’ve some thoughts on why, but will wait for the facts of this shooting to come out before posting them.
  25. Prayers for all involved, except the shooter. God forgive me but I’m glad he’s dead. 🙏🙏🙏✝️✝️✝️🙏🙏🙏 [Hidden Content]
