  1. Having my behind glued to my lazy boy recliner doesn't count as, getting off the couch I guess. I'm doomed. I know we pass our DNA to our families, but how my G'son runs the 800M is an anomaly. His G'pa, in his heyday, always thot 100 yards was as for as the human body could run. I sued the Army for cruel & unusual punishment for all the running we did. It got threw out of court.
  2. Aha, even more proof of alien visitations. These giant stones were cut a long time ago, by an alien race far, far, away. Tru storie [Hidden Content]
  3. Disappointed in you bullets. You sound like that durn Tx Hoops (a global warming fanatic lol). The article says the Russian scientist say there's an ice age coming, even if Mother Nature thinks it's May in SETX,. I noticed the other day, all the north and northeast was in the grips of a cold spell, and I'm sweating like a dog in a sauna. I like a little cold weather, but my wife hates cold with a passion, hence the reason I cancelled our move to Iceland
  4. Although, I'm not as knowledgeable on basketball as many of you, I agree with this post 100%. I've learned one thing, some days, nobody can make a basket. Why? Way over my head. Went w/G'son to see Mav's last Sat. Silsbee could have beat them. Hail Mary threes from Dirk, no chance (don't think he'd made one if he had time to say The Rosary). I do know, as a fan, it's very frustrating. Can't imagine what it's like for a coach. Imo, Silsbee would still win most games, even if having an off night. But having one against a tough opponent, not so sure. Enough gloom and doom, win a SC Tigers.
  5. I'd like to see all marriages last. Any marriage that can last, is a good one, be it interracial or not. As always, it takes commitment. Think about those vows. You see couples celebrating their 50 Year Anniversary, and think they never had arguments, or cross words? Can't imagine that. If you love someone enough to make that commitment, race doesn't matter.
  6. Another example that I remember when this insane health care system passed, "If you think Govt Health Care is good, go to an Indian Reservation and see how it works". I see it in Medicare. Good Dr's don't want the hassle of the paperwork, or being second guessed by a Govt bureaucrat with a degree in Basket Weaving. We're not all going to received the same health care. The rich will get the best because they can afford it, no matter what plan, no matter what type Govt you have. I'll never be able to receive the same care Bush and Obama will. In Russia, Yuri Drinksalot a Yakut welder, will not receive the same care as Putin, or any other powerful, or rich, Russian. Also, there are hundreds of links on how many sign up for AHC, but it's not so easy to find how many actuall pay for it. I bet there is a Hugh disparity in those two numbers.
  7. Okay, okay, okay. Maybe not BG, NT, or UR, but the rest of us.
  8. So I leave you with his legacy. [Hidden Content]
  9. Interesting read. Makes sense to me. [Hidden Content]
  10. That's funny - kudos LRF.
  11. And the LBJ & wife. I'm not sending our American boys 10,000 miles to fight an Asian boys war. And then got almost 60,000 killed - talk about a liar.
  12. Yep, you hit that one out of the park.

  15. Lmbo. I think eggs is the all time winner. Bad for you - good for you - bad for you - good for you. No telling how many times. Coffee has been back and forth also. For more information read my book, "Pork Fat Will Make You Healthy"
  16. Just watching him on Ch6. When ask why he's going to Tomball, he said, "Great Administrative Support". Interesting. Personally, I hate this. Hope whatever is wrong gets right. The kids deserve it.
  17. Got a feeling you won't see this on MSNBC. [Hidden Content]
  18. This AHA is the 500 lb gorilla. It was doomed for failure from the start, and the democrats knew it. That's the reason they lied so much about it. And Congress voting on it before it was even read (was it even in print - I don't remember). Common sense tells me that that alone should get it whacked by the SCOTUS. But if you just axe it, you're a heartless SOB. Probably be cheaper to build a Medical Center in each town over a 100,000 population. And we'll be stuck with the "existing condition" clause, as insane as it is. That Medical Center could do Health Care for those who pay for whatever substitute, and for Medicare patients. For those of you not on Medicare, be advised that a lot of Dr's do not accept it. My wife & I lost two of our Physicians when we entered the program. We get the Dr's who had a 1.0 grade point average lol.
  19. My specific objection to the story is not that they're homosexual, but that they lead the Church. A sinner like myself, cannot throw stones at homosexuals, but you expect the pastors of a church to at least try to set an example. If they were practicing lesbians, but now are living celibate lives, I could accept that. And I hope homosexuals do go to church. They need it as much as I do. Jmo
  20. Thanks. More lopsided than I would've thought. And not much let up in sight.
  21. I know many of you have seen me post, God is great, beer is good, and people are crazy. I think most of us agree on that, at least us old codgers. I'm beweildered daily at the things that go on. Here's another, "You can't make this stuff up folks". Read a Sci Fi a long time ago called, Stranger in a Strange Land (by Robert Heinlein). Pretty much me. Here. Now. [Hidden Content]
  22. Literally, Praise the Lord !
  23. Was the guy referring to the total history of Silsbee vs HJ in basketball? I know Silsbee has dominated lately, but I'd be curious to see the overall results. Both have good programs.
  24. Your trying to be Texan, and making progress. Maybe another year on this Forum, you might be a Texan (conservative lol).
