Christians the most persecuted group in world for second year: Study
Hagar replied to LumRaiderFan's topic in Political Forum
I'm not surprised by the results of this study. Nor am I surprised that most of the mainstream media ignores it. Any other group being slaughtered like this, the media would be screaming what an outrage it was. -

Congrats Pirates. Playing some good ball. Excited y'all are in our district. -
This ought to be a great ball game. These two teams were district rivals prior to realignment. Big Sandy always fundamentally sound team. Evadale playing some good ball this year.

Seems like a perfect time for a - Good luck with that. -
The initial report I saw on CBS, on the 5th, there was not much mention of race. On the 6th, CBS News did report it as a hate crime. I'm sure you and I both find this, and to many other things, unbelievable. Dylan Roof being the most horrible, inexplicable of all (recently). I'm at a loss to explain these actions. Do we have rampant mental illness? Demonic possession?

Lol, for all but one of the species.

From the article it appears the poop was over the slang for Stallion - (paraphrase) A young male stud. I'm beginning to see how that would offend everyone in our multiple/unisex society. SMDH

Yes Coach, the point is, once you're dependent on the Govt, the more potential power they weld. Be it genocide of a race, as we saw in Germany, or virtual inslavement of most of the population, as with Amin in Uganda. That's at the whim of who's in power. A small illustration would be Fed Aid to Education. Seemed all good at first. Then, you teach/feed what we want you to, or we'll cut off your aid. A minor thing, but exemplifies the potential. It's a slippery slope. Again, I doubt anytime soon. But someday........? -
Ok, I'll admit, when I first saw this, I'm thinking California - unbelievable. But when I seen Kentucky, I was even more disturbed. The home state for the Kentucky Derby. The finest breeders of thoroughbred horses in the world, and a HS there doesn't want to use Stallions as their mascot? God is great, beer is good, and people are crazy. No Country for Old Men - yes, you're right brother. [Hidden Content]

So you trust the Feds for civil rights? Have you ever considered that the more power the Feds have, the more they can control you? Take myself for instance. I'm on SS, and Medicare. Just for example, they pass a law (executive decision?) that you must stop eating meat, or you'll lose your SS and Medicare. Personally, I don't like being that vulnerable, but it happened. That's just an example, but the possibilities and vulnerability is there. And the more they folks control thru SS, Medicare, Welfare, food stamps, etc, the more potential power they have. Will they use it. I doubt anytime soon, but someday.........? -
Unfortunately Remmus, that was a typical liberal knee jerk reaction. I really thot you were making progress, then you revert back to this. Tsk tsk tsk. You still have a ways to go. If they jumped on an individual soldier, I don't care what race or religion they are, I'd have to help. In reality, I wouldn't be much help, but if I fell on one of them, better call 911.

First, a personal story. In the late 50's, my Dad, who was a union carpenter, said he was going to vote Repulican, after being a life long Democrat. I ask why. He said, "The dam democrats are stealing (using) all the money out of the Social Security (trust fund). I didn't know what he was referring to specifically. But I found this great link which indicates somethings rotten in DC (Denmark). Goes thru 2009. Please look at this, especially Questions 24, 25 & 26. Based on the info there, it's only paid out more than collected in 11 years. And in total, they've collected @ 2.5 trillion dollars more than they've paid out, and best as I cud tell, that did not include the interest earned all these years. So yes, they been using that SS money for other things. [Hidden Content]

I don't know, but had I been there, they'd had a good chance to whip me too. But if there was two of us, maybe only 10 or 15 would've moved on. I'll give you my description of them, and I'm sure you'll agree, 10 or 15 pos.

Lmbo, that last line is right out of the leftist media playbook. They learn that in Journalism 101. Make the poop sound good, even if it looks and smells bad. I think it's what O'Reilly calls "Spin".

No freaking way Politicians could let money pile up and not get in it. It's comparable to putting a pound of powdered cocaine on the table of a home of a recovering addict. They've used it, spent it, wasted it, but the money isn't there anymore. Yep, how about everyone in Congress start putting 50% of their salary into SS until it's solvent. And if you came into Congress with a total worth of $250,000, and leave 20 years later with a total worth in the millions, 50%. Just thinking outside the box. Btw, got @ a $5 a month raise this year in SS, but Medicare went up @ $20. Don't have to be a math whiz to see old folks lost money. Reminds me of the title of an old John Wayne movie, They Are Expendable.

Evadale should have a good season. We had some good young pitchers from last year. This year, pitching should be a big plus for the Rebels. And I know the Rebs got some hitters. Hopefully, the whole Dist has improved. Definitely something to look forward to.
-
Obviously tongue in cheek. Had not seen any HS ball in a long time. A friend of mines son pitches here in Evadale. I heard he was pretty good. Being an old pitcher, I went to watch him. I'd say I use to throw about the same speed, or to be more exact, my fastball was about the same speed as his change up. Man, these kids today can throw.

I've seen several shows on the following incident, and have heard it referred to as the most documented UFO reports ever, from the standpoint of having two ground radar and air controller/pilot conversations recorded. Japanese cargo 747 flying into Anchorage. Pilot ask Anch airport if anything on radar. No. Pilot said, got two objects ahead flying around. Any military craft up here? Anch checks with Air Base - negative. The 2 objects leave then Pilot sees a giant ship following him on port side, which he described as as big as 2 aircraft carriers. Anch radar has it, as does Air Base radar. Pilot drops altitude & does 360, but UFO follows him thru maneuver. FAA Div Chief for Accident/Incident Investigation in DC got recordings of radar & conversation of pilot and Anch controller. It was reviewed by an Admiral, who told him it was Top Secret, & to bring it all back the next day for a meeting w/FBI & CIA at White House. After review at meeting, CIA collected all recordings and data, and said, "This meeting never took place, and we weren't here". Pilot was a former fighter pilot with over 10,000 hours of flying time. For sticking to his story, including an interview by head of FAA in Anchorage, he was transferred to a desk job for many years before he was allowed to return to flight status. And I'll readily admit we have secret aircraft. But there's no way we could construct something that big in secret. Here's the story if you care to read it. And imo, Mufon, while trying to prove that UFO's exist, do so in a scientific manner and don't dramatize things to prove their point. [Hidden Content]
