  1. You've brought up some good points that many of us overlooked, or have forgotten about, and the Katy situation is a prime example. This athletic migration has changed High School football as many of us remember it. Yes, the UIL has a problem, but I'm not sure they know it, or care.
  2. Good, clean, and funny.
  3. Coach Flanigan is a prominent employee of BISD. Therefore, it is a BISD deal, if in fact there was actually a wrongful act. And you posted earlier something to the effect of, How would they know when the cameras were on? I'd think you could tell if you looked at the recordings. As I understand it, from looking at this thread, it has yet to be determined if there was actually an unlawful act. But IF the coach repeatedly reported this to someone(s) higher up, and nothing was done, then maybe there should be more folks on administrative leave. Also, regardless of the legality of what the coach did, anyone involved in NOT addressing the stealing should be held accountable. And understand, that would be my opinion regardless of what school district it happened in, Beaumont, Evadale, Vidor, Nederland, it doesn't matter. All that said, I sincerely hope all this ends up being a big to do about nothing, except catching a thief.
  4. Congrats on a great season Bruins. And kudos to you 82 5A SC. You called it, although I know your heart was with WB.
  5. Some say that? Don't even come close to agreeing with them. Imo, Alex Durley was one of the best coaches ever in the area, if not the best. Remember watching South Park roll under McCarthey (sp?). I thot, Wow, he's good. Then he goes to Orange and I couldn't believe the difference. Then I found out Coach Durley was the OC at South Park. And then he wins the SC at West Brook, in an actual story book year. A few good bounces - ok. But very few coaches, at any level, could have brought that team (those two teams, Hebert & Forest Park) together to play as a team. Had the good fortune to meet him at a Punt, Pass, & Kick competition, as both our sons competed. In that brief encounter, he impressed me as a class act. No reflection on Coach Stump, who I think is good, but there aren't many Alex Durleys that come along.
  6. This is some funny stuff.
  7. Here is your blue print for turning a Christian Nation to Islam (or Mexico). [Hidden Content]
  8. Got to admit, me living on a fixed income, this might be a money making proposition. Just wonder if I was to riot here in Evadale, and our Constable arrested me, if the city council here will give me a $100,000? Oh wait, we don't have a city. Blast, foiled again. Hey LRF, I'll join you in Lumberton. We could do it there. Be 50K a piece. I'm a genius.
  9. A big rousing Amen to that!
  10. Lmbo!
  11. Haven't got a list of the positive accomplishments of Obama yet. I guess there aren't any, especially for the working folks. But if he doesn't have any accomplishments after 8 years, is there a liberal who'll get on here and say he was a bad president? I admitted in my initial post Bush did a bad job his second term. There were some reasons why, but he didn't right the ship. Neither did Obama after 8 years. Point I'm trying to make, most conservatives will admit when a Republican isn't cutting it. Why? Because we think for ourselves. Democrats just absorb the Dem Party rhetoric, and believe it's the gospel. In a simplified analogy, if a Repub president holds up an orange and tells us it's an apple, we know better. If a Dem president holds up that orange and tells liberals it's an apple, then most of the media will tell you it's an apple, and by George, you guys figure it is an apple.
  12. Good season Indians. Keep your heads high and your powder dry. This old Pirate/Rebel is proud of y'all.
  13. Thanks. Go Eagles!
  14. What's the score at Newton game guys?
  15. Half. WOS up 30-7.
  16. Go Cardinals.
  17. Ouch. Come back Indians.
  18. Here's one I love that I think of often to remind me of how far we come/fallen.
  19. You got me looking. Here's more. And I was really hoping you were right. [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content] I hope this is just an isolated incident, and doesn't handcuff other Police Depts. Only logical thing, the City Council and Attorneys are getting some of it. Illegal? Of course, but I can understand greed, and manipulation. Just giving BLM $100,000 for rioting and getting arrested? That doesn't compute.
  20. You know baddog, it could be. Actually, now that I think about it, I hope it is. Better me with egg on my face, than this be true.
  21. Lol, I know the feeling. Heck, I've gotten winded just posting it
  22. You betcha. I'm to old, but maybe we cud get Englebert to Ref also, and keep Dove on the up and up. And to be honest, Hoops is just a slightly lost conservative. By today's standards, he's a moderate (they're a dying breed). But he's an authority on basketball, that's for dang sure.
  23. I've posted quite a few things in my time on this Forum, but I'm at a loss to remember any being more insane than this. [Hidden Content]
  24. I don't blame food stamps for our countries debt. But who do we blame when 16 million additional Americans are forced on to food stamps in the last 8 years? Do any of you still blame Bush? If so, why? Obama has had 8 years to rebuild our economy. The fact is, his policies have failed. This despite the fact that he's increased our National Debt more than all the previous presidents combined. Now, I'll tell you I thought Bush did a terrible job his last four years. I'm sure there's some reasons why, but as Truman said, The Buck Stops Here. I don't remember any liberal on here admit to Obama doing a bad job. Why are so many Americans not working? Why 16M more on food stamps? He's not a God. It's okay to say he's done a terrible job. Sure would give credence to any future post you might make. I have listed just a couple of the many negatives he's responsible for. Please feel free to list the positives, but I'd suggest you leave out the Affordable Care Act, since it's not affordable, for most in it, and certainly not for our country to subsidize it. You have the floor.
  25. Another good win. The Pirates continue to impress.
