Top 20 performers in the 2016 regular season

Evadale's Coy Williams has a whopping 14 yards per carry. That's impressive, as is Evadale QB, Tyler Torres who is #1 in passing with 1964 yards. Proud of all them Rebels, because you have to have some good blocking to put up both of those numbers. It's a team effort. -
Prayers up for Liltex.

Go Pirates! I can hear the fight song and Slavonic already (to be played repeatedly tonight after each score).

Confirms what my daughter says about me - Dad, you're a walking encyclopedia of useless knowledge Leave it to me to come up with a great Trivial Pursuit question.

Got to thinking about this. Need help from someone that knows how to goggle better than me. I found that Eisenhower was the last non-politician to win the Presidency. But he was a 5 Star General, which was a "political" position, and he had worked for the Government his whole adult life. That said, when was the last time a non-politician, who wasn't in the Military, or hadn't worked for the Government, been elected? Has it ever happened?

By George Football52, I love your analysis! May the Force be with the Pirates.

You know how superstitious Coach Matthews is. This kind of stuff is right in his wheelhouse. Go Pirates.
-
I'm with you. Like I said, 4 or 5 years ago I liked it, but now, not so much. I love crawfish etoufee when it's done right, and Papadeauxs just ain't cutting it.
-
I have a question for y'all. Do y'all think Papadeaux's is as good as it was 4 or 5 years ago? Maybe just my taster, but to me, it's not as good. Whole bunch of stuff doesn't work as well when you get old though lol.

Big Congratulations HOTROD!!! I thot a brother or cousin. Time flies big buddy, but you having one that old still blows my old mind. I still think of you as a snot nosed kid lol. I'm busting down happy for him and you both. A big Yahoo from The Dale. PS:. Saw Daniel Bean pitch last year. Told his Dad, Hey, I use to be pretty good, but his change up is about the same speed as my fastball

I wonder how many long drives Vidor will have to. The Pirates will need to score on most possessions. And honestly Vidor has probably punted less than 90% of 5A schools. Doubt Crosby punts a lot either. If either team does a lot of punting tonight, they're in a lot of trouble. I'll put the over and under for punts at 2. Call 1-800-Caesars Palace to place your bets

NP, done it a few (dozen lol) times myself. Besides, gives folks another chance to read that poetic masterpiece
-
Based on the PAM fans postings, yep, a drastic difference in coaching. I think I've seen where Vidor is ahead in the turnover ratios, and yes, they'll need to be ahead tonight. As I remember that's what helped Vidor beat Crosby and Magnolia in 2011. Then we got fumblitis against Angleton. Just wonder if opposing offenses get out of sync sitting on the sideline while Vidor has a 10 minute drive? Might account for it, but I'm just wondering. Anyway, hoping for a good game tonight, and may the winner go all the way.

Dadgum BHFan, you got me worrying about your sanity . You got to know that last Friday we played a big, fast, athletic, red iceberg, and won. Ye of little faith. Let me quote you a poem from Longfellow (I think, but some famous poet). In came the Pirates from Orange County And their TD's were hard to keep counted The Coogs couldn't tell at all Which Pirate RB had the ball And thus the Coog was stuffed and mounted

November 10, is the Marine Corps birthday, so happy birthday to The Corps and to all you old and young Marines. If you know one, tell them happy birthday. Of all the services, they're the only ones that put a lot of stock in this (my son is (was, but once a marine, always a marine) a marine, so I make sure I stay in his good graces lol.

I'm with you baddog on their gumbo and etoufee. Just me, but Don's gumbo was as good as I've eaten anywhere. Floyd's is still very good. And their presentation of etoufee is second to none. Just looking at a bowl full of that makes me howl at the moon lol.

Great video baddog. You're right, she's marrying material. I like that gal.

That's even beneath you. We ain't had such nonsense on this forum since they banned that crazy guy. Can't remember his name for sure. Maybe bulldogbacker? Some crazy Nederland dude -
Good post, but I'd ask you to continue reading the threads, because unlike many liberals, if Trump gets way out of line, I'm confident you'll see several of us brow beat him. As baddog said, we ain't sheep. i will add, that I for one, am glad this is over. Been voting for 50 years and never seen a campaign like this. Now I hope and pray Trump will do a good job. For the country, and each of us as individuals.

I was thinking back yesterday at what was the first thing that made me look at Trump as someone other than a rich, brash, Yankee businessman, who just threw his hat in the ring as a lark. As I remember, it was his disregard for political correctness, especially in front of the major national medias. I've had about all of this PC nonsense I can stand. And here's Trump totally disregarding it. I have to say, that got my attention. Still didn't vote for him in the primary, nor thrilled he got the nomination, but that was a big plus in my book. Just curious what might have impressed other Conservatives to take him seriously.

We have at least one young man in Evadale that I thought deserved an offer. I guess there is still an opportunity. I hope so. He not only has a great arm, he's a great young man.
