When PNG was a state power in the 70's, they were one of the smaller large classification schools (can't remember if it was 4A or 5A, but that's immaterial). They did not possess a bevy of outstanding players, but they were outstanding football teams. Coach Etheridge and his staff did an outstanding job. When an Indian receiver blocked downfield, the defenders went down. That Staff had to be one of the best. But the Tradition at PNG was an added factor. So yes, a good enough staff can win without the super athletes. Call it an anomaly, or call it what you want, but They beat bigger faster kids all the way to state.

Not sure how you know Vidor can't pull the wagon? I'll admit, that wagon is loaded lol. I use to love horse racing. The saying there, a horses future is judged by his past. That said, since Ned won has won the last 6 games, and PNG should have won at least two of them (as I remember, but I'm old and senile), I have to think PNG will have to play good, error free football to win it. Vidor will have to do the same, and pickup a turnover or two. Won't be easy, but I think the Pirates have a shot.

But from the conservative viewpoint, Trump is a Saint compared to Hillary. I detested Obama, but would vote on him in a heartbeat before Hillary. She takes "lying crook" to a whole new level.

No, that doesn't explain it. I have the right to cut my arm off, but I wouldn't like the results. Yes, all have the right, but why would one use that right to elect someone with Hillary's record? Someone that when she talks about Benghazi says, What does it matter. Oh, sorry Mrs Clinton, but several Americans died there. That why it matters. And she sold her position as Secretary of State. Granting favors to those who put millions in the Clinton Foundation. And sadly, there's possibly a lot more, and a lot uglier coming out. Quite possible PAM can beat anyone in 21-5A also. Both teams have a playoff spot already. Not a lot to lose. I do think it'll be a much better game than you anticipate. I figure Vidor has a good of a chance beating PAM as PNG does of beating Nederland.

Oh there's no doubt Vidor is the underdog. PAM being undefeated plus soundly defeating Ned & PNG proves that. And I've no doubt PAM will score a bunch. Vidor will have to play mistake proof ball, and get a few stops on D or turnovers. But imo, it should be a great ball game. I'll be checking the game thread while I'm watching Evadale.

I do like some of the new country music, only because it reminds me of some rock music in the early 60's. But it's not the Country Music I loved. I sure miss Merle Haggard, Marty Robbins, Jim Reeves, and George Jones. Plus all the other greats. I guess George Strait and Alan Jackson are about the last two. Things change. This is turning into some bad business. Wonder high this goes, and who all are involved?
